  Currently, Adobe Reader for iOS does not have an In - App text-to-speech function to read a PDF document.  There are no buttons or menus to start, pause, or stop reading the content of a PDF document in the Adobe Reader application.

  You pouvez use the Apple iOS "VoiceOver" built-in screen reader to read a PDF document.  But it probably didn't work as expected.  Because VoiceOver reads all the buttons and other controls that you select on the screen.

  You can go to iOS settings > General > accessibility > VoiceOver to turn it on and navigate back to a PDF document open in Adobe Reader for iOS for VoiceOver read PDF content.

  Once VoiceOver is enabled, you can use gestures special, such as three-finger scan or double click, for navigation.  (However, many users find it difficult to navigate with active VoiceOver.)

  Export works very well since InDesign for a 10 page file and displays of file on the iPad. Interface for the app in voice-over readings, but it will not read the text of the PDF file.   I have a client who consults a PDF file that has no of its embedded inside. He said that it is by clicking on the text and it is essentially reading the text for him. I can't reproduce this on my computer. Is this a feature in a newer version of Acrobat? Or is it maybe another software to work? My client didn't know either, but he simply upgrade his computer.

Ivona speech agents appear in the list of voices in Captivate, but when you generate text-to-speech, Microsoft Sam ends up being the voice. Is there an extra step, I'm missing? I was able to make it work with the demo version of Cepstral voices, but I'm having a problem with the voice of Yvonne both Loquendo. Has anyone got this working, and if so, what are the steps missing?

  I should mention that Loquendo and included with Captivate Neospeech voices work very well. In addition, it is a purchased version of Captivate 5.

  Thanks for the nod. I wanted to see the dialog box to check if the speaker is defined as Yvonne. Indeed, it is that I can see the snapshot of the dialog box.

  As you mention speaker by default, Windows ends up reading the text. You can try the following.

  1. Start Control Panel for Windows 7

  2. Locate the icon of 'Voice recognition' and launch the speech properties dialog box

  3. go to the "Text to Speech" tab in the dialog box, and then select the voice of Yvonne (if present in the menu drop-down)

  4. with a default text preview voice.

  Check-out at the 4th level if Ivona voice reads the text or Sam bed. Let me know

  If here Ivona does not read then it might be a problem with the voice. If Ivona reads successfully then launch Captivate in trial and in Admin mode the generation of speech processes again.

  Let us know if it worked.

  Microsoft Anna Voice selection is the selection of the default voice in Windows 7. There is no way to download Microsoft Sam on Windows 7. However, you can use Windows XP Mode as Microsoft Sam is the default voice in Windows XP. Windows XP Mode comes as a separate download and works only with Windows 7 Professional, full and business.

  To download and install Windows XP Mode on Windows 7, try the following steps.

  1. click on Windows XP Mode and click on the Download button and save it to the desktop.
