  Hello. I just moved my (rather small, 3500 or almost) picture collection from disc external hard disk my internal. Everything worked very well, for the most part. But when checking, I see that more than 500 photos (in recent years, for the most part) are marked with a question mark. Missing photos are all on a backup of my collection of photos, stored on an another DHM with a USB connection.
  My question is, what would be the best and easiest way to restore my photos on my PC? I guess using the library/Find lack of photos and pointing LR with my backup hard disk would be the way to go, but I'd like a second opinion before starting, in case there is a better way, or this way of doing, it's all wrong.

  OK, a question, these missing photos scattered in a lot of different folders of the backup?

  If they are fairly easy to identify, copy their files using the Explorer to where they should be on the internal drive. Then make the library / find and link to the versions of internal drive. What I'm trying to avoid tip files in your catalog on backup copies - it is a backup, after all.

  And maybe start with some pictures, just to verify that it is a practical approach.

  I'm afraid it's true, you will not be able to reload the OS or boot from a usb cdrom drive, since it is not supported by the bios, the only way to boot from a cd is to use a cdrom pcmcia (with a 16-bit connection).

  Yes. While the Finder cannot find the content of .ai files, it can do it with .pdf files. If you change the extension of a .ai in .pdf file, you can use Spotlight to search by content.

  This fact, combined with a file rename utility as A Better Finder Rename, you can leave temporarily rename all of your .ai files so they end up in something like 'RENAMED.pdf '. Then, once you have performed your search, find all files ending in RENAMED.pdf, to delete the word "RENAMED" and change the end for .ai again.

Assuming that you are talking about DPS 2015, all what you need to do is to convert your data to HTML format, then use packaging article HTML tool to generate a .article to the HTML file. This can be a manual or automated process. For example, there are plugins for Wordpress that automate this workflow to make Wordpress posts and ingest them in 2015 of DPS.

  here a solution that worked for me:
  I just had to change the language and location settings in windows and flash would take the right code of basic police...

• Run Windows 10 from an external SSD drive? Yes, it works!

  That's what I did to make it work. The whole process takes about 45 minutes, but I think that it really is worth it if you want to run quick and clean Windows 10 on your iMac.

  What you need:

  • An SSD external - data is deleted
  • An iMac 27 "(end of 2013 in my case)

  Temporarily, for the installation, you will also need:

  • A computer with Windows 7, 8 or 10 to copy the correct files on the SSD drive and make it bootable
  • A computer running with OS X download BootCamp
  • A USB - data is erased

  First, in Windows, you get a file ISO for Windows 10. You can use the media to https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10 authoring tool and choose to save it as ISO file (do not create a USB bootable media).

  1. Double-click on the. ISO file. This will mount the disk to install on a disk (in my case, the letter E).
  2. Connect the SSD drive to a free USB port
  3. Open an administrator command prompt and type:
     1. DiskPart
     2. list disk (to identify your external SSD drive number)
     3. select disk 2 (or another number to your external SSD drive, make sure you do not erase your internal drive, usually on 0).
     4. clean - be careful, if you have selected the wrong disc, erase all the data on it
     5. create part pri
     6. Quick format
     7. assign letter = O (or another letter if already used)
     8. assets
     9. output
     10. DISM/apply-image /imagefile:"E:\sources\install.esd" / index: 1 /ApplyDir:Y:------(change E to another letter for the ISO file mounted)
     11. BCDBOOT. EXE Y:\WINDOWS/s Y:/f BIOS (so that the boot in the BIOS only drive (not EFI))
     12. output
     13. Eject all disks properly or simply shut down your PC.

  Then on your Mac, open the wizard BootCamp (click on Launchpad and type "bootcamp" to find) and check ONLY "download the latest software of Apple's Windows support. Save it on your USB thumb drive. Stop your iMac. Remove the USB key and keep it in your hand.

  Turn on your iMac by pressing the option (alt) key. You will see an orange icon with Windows. Select this option and wait until you see 'Getting ready devices', wait a little longer until you hear the startup chime and press the option (alt) key to make sure that start you on the external hard drive. That's all!

  Now you have a copy of Windows from your external USB drive. You just need to install the BootCamp drivers on your USB (\Bootcamp\Setup.exe). Reset.

  Oh, you have 10 Windows running natively on your beautiful iMac.

  Anyone know if it is possible to have photos of access app Photos from a different source? Currently the photos app will see what's on your device. However, I have a 128 GB Macbook so do not keep my photos out there. I'm looking for a way to access my photos through the WD My Cloud drive I have through the Photos app. The reason for this is that I was hoping to use iCloud sharing photos so I can edit photos with my iPad and then extinguished by e-mail and post them on my Mac. I also prefer the Photos app on all devices on WD my cloud application.

  Yyour entire library of Photos can be moved to an external drive. Just copy it to a new drive, then double-click the photo library file. This will 'learn' Photos where the pictures are stored.

  When you enable iCloud photo library on your Mac and your devices, you will indeed have access to all your iCloud files.

  One caveat: iCloud library is NOT a solution to backup for your item photos and videos. You should always set your library of Photos on your Mac to original copy. It's OK to keep your libraries on the as optimized device. It will keep the storage space on the iDevices.

  I received an email saying it was the reporter that I was using an outdated version, and I wanted to download the new version of firefox. I clicked on download now. I am running windows 7, if I get a backup it box. I save it. so I open run it. When I click Run, I received a message asking if I want to run something from an unknown source... then I hit Cancel.

  I don't think that Mozilla will send e-mail to its users and ask them to update to Firefox. I have never received such and I have been using Firefox from the day that it was released. Users will have to use its built-in or from its Web site update. This email is probably a scam. You must remove it immediately.
