  • How should I fill in the recent history of compensation if, after choosing "debug a script" and a new attempt, by selecting 'Clear now' no results?

I'm going to erase everything in the first four categories "clear recent history". I checked all four boxes and "clear now". There was a message from a plugin, but my Flash drive is running, if it's relevant. After the blue circle swirled for some time, there was a message about the script, so I chose "Debug Script". The box closed and now when I open "clear recent history" box "Form & search" is not checked, but the other three are. A file marked 'Old data from Firefox' appeared on my desk. • How to get the url dropdown bar be simple recent history

I would like a simple list of recent history displayed when I click on the arrow at the right end of the URL entry box. I mean a simple most-recently-visited-on-the-top list of URLS. What I get by default is a list which has absolutely no sense to me, is in some unknown order and is of no value whatsoever. I don't know what algorithm is used to populate the list that is displayed leaving completely empty the URL line. I can't find an option that would set this list view. I find the boring bar awesomely as it's great.

The drop-down arrow on the far right shows a list of websites that you typed or pasted in the address based on frecency (visit of the bonus points) bar.

  • Recent history was not cleared when Firefox is closed

I am currently using Firefox 23.0.1. (latest version)

I activated the function to clear history when Firefox closes. (Use the custom settings for history in the privacy settings) where I checked all options in the settings.

However, once I close, recent history cannot be erased when I re - open Firefox!

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

(If you use it, switch to the default theme).

    • Open the menu help and click on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item while Firefox is running.

Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. To do this, please follow article Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems .

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

When you exit Firefox, you click on the X on the window or the File > Exit button?

Coming out to help the File > Exit button will allow Firefox close completely and correctly and will give it the time to delete the history.

  • exceptions list sites authorized to load the images, (permisions.sqlite?) is cleaned out of Firefox, or when I clear recent history. How to prevent this?

My exception list for sites that are allowed to load images, (permissions.sqlite in the profile folder, I think) is allowed in release of Firefox, or when I clear recent history. These images remain blocked during the session. I never provide exceptions for cookies or pop-ups. I deleted the site preferences box and the other 2 boxes in the data area of the settings menu history, but the list is always cleared out. I've never had this problem until about a week ago and heading FF since 0.8 version.
It's 12 FF, under Win XP.

If you use a software like CCleaner cleaning then check the settings in the Firefox application.

It is also possible that the permissions.sqlite is corrupted, then you can try to delete this file and let Firefox to create a new copy to see if that helps.

  • Clear recent history + cookies clears all cookies, including those on the list of exceptions - bug or feature?

I have several sites on the list of the persons authorized to keep the cookies always (options, privacy, cookies, exceptions). When I use "clear recent history" and check the cookies, the cookies are deleted, including those on the allowed list. Maybe it's a feature rather than a bug, but I much prefer it if cookies excepted were excluded.

This is how it works. Using clear recent history clears all specified cookies and does not exclude cookies that have an exception permit. If you want to keep a few cookies then you should avoid using CRH to clear the cookies and delete unwanted cookies in the Cookie Manager or they expire when you close Firefox. In this way you keep the cookies with an exception permit.

That can occur if you disable cookies via clear recent history.

Try to exclude cookies to see if that helps.
