  Make sure that you start WSR (Windows speech recognition) before starting any other program that you want to dictate. If you can not dictate in Open Office Open Office means and does not respect the TSF, text Services executives. If this is the case, you can try turn on the notebook of dictation by clicking on the microphone icon in the address bar by clicking Options. Close Open Office and WSR.   Hi, I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 with Windows 7. I just put in place the Windows speech recognition and finished the installation and the tutorial. I went to use and it says:

  Speech recognition error

  Speech recognition could not start because the configuration of the language is not supported.

  The recognizer language must match the language of the user interface. Please change the recognizer language in the speech recognition under Advanced options control panel.

  I don't know what that means, I tried changing the settings under:

  Control Panel > accessibility > speech recognition > speech Advanced Options

  But nothing seems to work.

  I had the same problem. Strangely, I had other symptoms. I use the Turkish keyboard Q primary and English as secondary United States. As my speech recognition broke down, I saw that my office word and outlook mulfunctioned in what concerns the language of the keyboard. I was able to use the Turkish Q keyboard on any application, but when I open outlook or word, changes in the English language.

  It happened on xp for... so I turned on the language bar to assign the TR when I am using these applications. But the language bar never himself displayed on the bar of tasks or office. So I get this problem and I saw that you can solve this problem via regedit.

  I got my BB curve by AT & T for about 3 months. A week ago my voice started sounding garbled and unrecognizable to anyone I talked. Didn't matter if I made or received the call. I left voice messages of others messages were also blurred. This happened to my house in Maine, but also place of my mother in New Jersey, so that rules to low signal strength.

  Everyone knows this or know how to fix? I can't really use this phone at all and have been using my Treo work!

  There is a known issue with this on 10.2.1 for many users. You can get fully functional voice dialing by going to settings > Voice Control and replacing the speech recognition Voice Dialing only.

  Hi all

  I have implemented recognition voice Windows last night and everything was working fine. I installed Windows speech recognition which worked well as Macros. Naturally, I was stopped for the night and went to bed.
  Today, when I turned on my computer, I noticed that speech recognition have upward haven't started with him as he was supposed to.
  Long story short, after trying to get it to bot, I noticed that the process was starting when I started WSR but it was only 12 seconds and then stop.
  I restarted my computer several times for nothing doesn't. I checked the event log and found nothing in the speech of search terms or sapisvr (WSR process). I can run the tutorial and that works very well. I can also run speech recognition Training(I have actually completed it a few times just to see what would happen).  I also connected as long as another user on my computer to do the test and it worked on this user (again, so set it up).
  Anyone have any ideas? I'm fresh out.

  A few days ago, I thought about it and had an epiphony.
  Because making a repair reveals exactly what the question here is, why not just create another user profile (since it works too), and copy my stuff. It takes less time, that's for sure.
  I created a new profile and all my old files copied to it and set up speech recognition again. I reinstalled the program macro (what a wonderful idea it was) and restarted several times to confirm that speech recognition will continue to work. It's been a few days now and I have not had problems yet. (Good call on this JohnD)
  Brent, if this question once again, I'll try the upgrade on site. This time I'll remember to bring my vista install disk with me so I don't have to wait however long again to solve the problem.
  I'm really curious to know why this problem occurred again. I guess that's probably something unique to my case where a file has been corrupted or something similar. Well.

  I try to use the recognition voice to dictate into a program windows open.  I have trained with success the program give me a reasonable accuracy in Word Pad.  However, whenever I speak in the open program, I get an error that says 'that was it. "  I can't dictate to all.  I am also unable to dictate into the search bar in my browser, google chrome.   How can I get windows speech recognition works correctly?

  It should work in other things such as Notepad or Microsoft Word or Outlook.  But it is a very old engine (the recognition system which is since 2002 and is all self-contained, where modern (and more accurate) speech recognition systems then send your speech to a powerful server, it returns the text.) That's how Google Android, iPhone and Windows Phone do.

  Windows (finally) will get this same capability year in Windows 10 next.

  DIFFICULTY 1: Using the voice recognition settings

  1. open Control Panel and click on speech recognition icon. Click now on "speech advanced options" link given in the left sidebar.

  2 it will open a new window. Make sure that the language is set to the correct location and 'review documents' option is unchecked.

  

  3 apply changes and reboot your system.

  SOLUTION 2: Add ctfmon.exe at startup

  1. type regedit in RUN or start menu Searchbox and press ENTER. It will open the registry editor.

  2 now go to the following key:

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

  3 in the right pane, create a new string value with the name ctfmon and set its value to ctfmon.exe

  4 close the registry editor and restart your system. After the reboot, you shouldn't get the error message and speech recognition should start without any problems.

  If none of the above suggestions work, you could do a system restore to a time where the WSR worked on your computer. The last suggestion if neither of those work, watch Dragon NaturallySpeaking recognition voice quality.
