  I recently bought a HP p71534PC

  I'm looking for a firewire card, so I can use my Audio interface M - Audio Profire 610 and also, my Focusrite Liquid Mix,

  I think these are older, speed would be the FireWire (IEEE 1394) models? Perhaps? (not sure if it matters?)

  recommendations? someone has it used for audio without problem?  price seemed very varied, so I'm not sure I should buy

  Need to buy a Firewire 1394 card has PCIe x 1 so that it is compatible with your computer and the Profire 610 / produced audio Liqiud Mix. I'd go with some time in the middle of the price range.

  This is a Firewire card that should work.  You should install it in one of the PCI Express x 1 slots on the motherboard.  There are 3 of them right underneath the long black PCI Express x 16 slot in the bottom right of the motherboard.

  The motherboard in your new PC can accept as PCIex1 firewire cards.

  Here is a link to the cards you have purchase options that will fit in your PC.

  You can see that they are short connectors compared to the standard PCI connector that yours has.

  They do not have to keep a low profile, but do need to agree in the connector. Don't get one that isn't a standard mounting bracket.  These photo have before all the bracket that correspond to your PC.

  Do not buy those that have a mounting bracket short research.
