I would like to reinstall my windows 8 pro system, but I have lost my recovery CD.

I'm selling this computer because I don't use it much more.

Hope you can help out me.

I use this computer hp called

HP pavilion p62485eo

and I am running windows 8 pro

It might be a good idea to create my own recovery disk? How to do this?

I tried to do this myself actually but failed and he vreated only a large 200 MB om as the USB partition is trying to

Put it on. The stick has 8 GB of free space

And it might be a good idea to upgrade to 8.1 windows?

I am now running windows 8.0

If Windows 8 is still running you can perform a reset, this erases all programs and personal files and leave just the Windows operating system.

  • Recover Windows System Image in Boot Camp 10

    Hi all

I have problems with Windows on my iMac.

So I installed Win10 using the Boot Camp Assistant, partitioning 300 GB for it. After awhile, I realized I want to segment much more, so I tried looking for a way to extend this partition to 500 GB - I have tried it with a 3rd party app and didn't. I then created a Windows System Image, restored the fuser unit to a single OS X partition and reinstalled Windows with BCA - by then I had decided to partition 1 TB for each operating system. I installed with no problems and tried to recover Windows from the Image of the above system. But instead he apparently formatted my entire SDS, including the OS X partition, that the iMac will not start and more.

[I have a backup Time Machine and everything, I also know I have to reinstall OS X and then restore from that backup.]

The question is how to do what I tried bypassing Windows format the whole * thing. If this is not possible at all to recover from the image, I'll be forced to 'start from scratch' and I'd really rather not, 3rd party applications are welcome at this stage. Also, can I recover the files from the Image of the system?

    Thank you for your time,

    Bruncky

PS. : Given that the Apple employee didn't know immediately what I was talking about: in Windows, a System Image is a 1:1 copy of my Windows partition around, as opposed to a backup that saves only files apps and not content generated by the app.

This issue arises from a bad assumption made during the restorations by the process of restoration of Windows. It assumes that the restoration is made on the dedicated disk that has nothing else. Winclone is the best solution on Mac instead of Windows System Image backups. I have some time with a few users and I have tried with different levels of success. Please see Bootcamp not recognized after the restoration of Windows from image system for example.

    Try of Winclone.

There may be some confusion between the Image of the system and the history of the files. Time Machine has no concept of an Image of the system, so it is also the terminology 'exotic '.

PS2. : If I reinstall OS X from Recovery Mode, do I make specific configurations about the merger by car?

No, unless you have built a custom Fusion car. If you have a Bootcamp partition on the drive of Fusion, you want to ensure that you're not crushing BC/Windows, unless a wipe/restoration is your goal.

Windows 7 pre installed partion delet back then how to recover windows 7 home prium

    Hello

You have very limited options now that you have deleted the recovery partition.

The only legal Windows 7 download available is now Microsoft, as Microsoft has stopped DigitalRiver Windows 7 ISO downloads.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery

But Microsoft only provides these downloads for Windows 7 keys to selling product at retail, not preinstalled OEM product keys (Dell, HP, etc.).

As you have licensed preinstalled OEM (Dell, HP, etc.), contact the manufacturer of your computer to order recovery media that they must provide for a fee, if they still have available which is very doubtful.

Or you can also borrow the same exact retail edition DVD of Windows 7 and use your product key to reinstall.

    See you soon.

  • cannot update or recover windows 8

I currently have a debranded HP P7-1147 A8-3800 2.4 4 GB, 1 TB, DVDRW, W8.  I need to refresh or recover windows.  I tried to do it and the pc asks recovery media.  I haven't it.  I contacted Microsoft to obtain another copy of the w8.  My pc has a w8 oem copy, could not get one of them.  Told me to contact hp, they can provide a copy.  Well, I contacted hp they cannot give me a copy, because they need a hp serial number, it is not a step on the pc anywhere on the bios.  I have a windows sticker 8 with serial number on it, but this is not enough, even if it's a legal copy.  So I ran a sfc scannow command and it found errors. It says windows resource protection found corrupt files, but could not solve some of them.  So what I do now?

    Thank you

  • Satellite C660-1R1 - recover Windows 7 product key

    Dear Toshiba support,

My Toshiba Satellite C660-1R1 bought in 2011. By the end of 2013, the original HARD drive died and I replaced it with an SSD. That said, I can't start the recovery with the original Windows 7 installation partition, or I can retrieve the product key from the registry. In addition, the sticker of the product key on the back of the laptop is almost unreadable. I read only a few letters.

Is it possible for the support of Toshiba recover my Windows 7 Home product key based on the serial number and other details? I can send the whole of the back of my laptop with two stickers to the evidence.

    Thanks for any help.
    Marcin

    Hi marcinziel
You are lucky to have a product key sticker (COA).
Some people have had success with the digitization of the AOC and using software to improve the image.
This year I bought a R50 Pro of the Satellite with Windows 7 pro and I can't find a sticker (COA) about it.
Toshiba help you with your product key problem?
I'm still waiting for a response from Toshiba.

  • Satellite L850D - how to recover Windows 8?

    Hello guys.

I had virus problems with my Toshiba Satellite L850D and decided to restore the factory settings.

During the recovery, it crashed while I held the power button and when I started it again, it seemed that windows 8 had been removed.

I took the laptop to a local computer repair company that could not recover my windows 8 and windows 7 installed on it.

I paid around £80 extra when you purchase the laptop for windows 8 already installed on it and I was just wondering if there was anyway to get it back?

    Thanks for the help

  • Satellite L350D - how to recover Windows?

I installed Ubuntu 10.10 on my L350D and I removed Windows Vista (and all my files) by mistake... There was not a windows recovery CD when I bought the L350D. What should I do to recover the windows vista? Is it possible to have Windows Vista on my computer again without having to buy the software for a second time? Thank you very much

    Hey,.

    > It wasn't a windows recovery CD
Yes, because you have to create this disc yourself using preinstalled Toshiba recovery disc creator, but all about that is mentioned in your user manual.

    > What should I do to recover the windows vista?
There is only one way to restore the original Toshiba settings: this s Toshiba Recovery disk and if you n t have it you can order it here:

When you request support, please provide the model name and product number complete (p/n) of the HP computer in question. HP/Compaq made thousands of computer models. Without this information, it can be difficult, even impossible to help you solve your problem.

The information requested above are on the bottom of your computer, inside the battery compartment or on the BIOS boot screen. Please see How can I find my model number or product number? for help more to find this information. DO NOT include your serial number. Please enter the product/model information consumer HP Online Support page and post it here for our review.

Please use the support of HP recovery, you created when you first you computer Configuration. If you don't create this media, please contact the official support HP customer in your region / country, via the Portal Support HP's worldwide, to see if the HP recovery support is available for your computer.

If you found "recovered" or the Windows product key from the old hard drive, it will not work. The key to the used factory also requires a SLP/SLIC 2.1 BIOS and an appropriate OEM SLP/SLIC certificate.

Alternatively, if you can still read the 25 characters on the COA affixed Microsoft Windows product key at the bottom of the computer, you can install Windows 7 Home Basic by using this key. Please see "how to install Windows 7 without the disc" to get instructions on how to download Windows 7, create the installation media and install Windows 7 using the product key 25 character of the COA Microsoft on your computer. Please note that this facility is not all customizations of HP or HP value-added that was original installed on your computer. Also note that you will need to download and install most of the drivers from the HP support for your computer page.

  • HP Envy 2000: upgrade Windows 10 failed, cannot recover Windows 8

I upgraded a friends laptop to Windows 8 to 10 of Windows, installing it was downloading on partition recovery and run out of room, I created a USB key from the recovery partition and then formatted recovery disk to see if that would solve the problem. Again, I tried the upgrade, everything went very well with the upgrade until it has restarted to complete the installation, then he projected black. Then I returned to a previous version of Windows but it didn't restore properly, I used the USB recovery that I created and after a diagnosis and try a few things I finally to reset. I then tried the upgrade again after checking that everything was fine, she doesn't have to install again. Now, I can't get Windows 8, I can start Recovery USB but when I choose to update or choose to reset the PC it says it fails, I have does not have this issue before, refreshed and reset without a problem the first time, but it does not work now. I do not have and did not change anything in the whole process, just tried to upgrade, then recovered, then tried to upgrade again, now the recovery does not work.

    Any ideas?

I solved it by running the clean command on drive C, and then he helped the method Reset PC works, then chose to repartition the disk. Completely restored by now.

  • Damages and errors: need to recover Windows 7 on dv6-3231nr

Hello people! Hoping I can get some tips for fixing this laptop - it is a mess!

I have a laptop dv6-3231nr out of warranty and has a damaged screen. Has been trampled or abandoned. Damage at the bottom left of the screen. I can do some things on the screen when it is running.

Unforunately it will not display the video on an external monitor using the VGA connection. I also tried the HDMI to view video on my TV and the TV displays the data of 'recovery' as it new, something has been connected, but he could not show the video using this connection as well.

Laptop starts at the BIOS and the test in BIOS hard drive error checking was able to finish even if I couldn't see what options and errors I had (all I could do was what he finished). Windows does not load and I get a blue screen error message with an error code that I can't completely make out because of damage to the screen and restarting the laptop just after error appears.

I don't have the original Windows HP recovery disk. I know I could probably order from HP, but I did not how much they cost. I couldn't find a link to order.

So, what do you think? The laptop likely there internal damage to the motherboard that prevents it from display external video via VGA/HDMI connections or would that be a software problem that would be fixed if I had to recover the operating system? In addition, how the HP Recovery/Windows 7 disc would cost me?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You can order your software/driver page HERE recovery media they are usually around $17.

You can also try the hard drive partition recovery tapping away to the F11 key, immediately after switching on. Not sure if you could get through the options here with visibility of the small screen.

You can also try the trick HERE by DavidPK burn a dvd of Windows 7. Yet once not sure how well would mean you through a facility complete with retail disk and damaged screen.

    • can I connect volume c: to the new ssd?
    • will be d: partition (containing my data) stay in place?

    Hi again,

Disabling the drive HARD and then recover with the recovery HP for the SSD disks worked fine.

  • How can I recover windows files on the start menu as "Accessories" after the fake recovery tool?

My pc has been infected recently with the fake windows recovery tool. I don't know how to recover the files/folders in the start menu and the desktop that were there before.

It seems to remove the shortcuts in the start program, so a show systemic does not help.  Or it does solve the problem of the "NoDesktop" under political Explorer setting, which prevents the user access to the desktop (see  ( http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc938265.aspx).  I had to deal with a computer with these questions last week. I'm not sure it's the same virus (it was a fakesysdef one), but some things can not easily be corrected.  My experience was that I had to set up the shortcuts to start again, as they were not hidden, but they seem to just disappeared.
