    DOES NOT. Normal startup.

    2) enter the BIOS via Novo Button > by selecting the Start Menu
    + Safe mode
DOES NOT. Normal startup. (Only SystemRecovery works)

    3) enter the BIOS via shortcuts (F2 / Fn + 2)

So please help me as soon as possible. Already lost 4 h on this topic.

Problem solved: update the BIOS does.

Unfortunetaly Lenovo does not offer a one-click - Update BIOS for U410 Touch. But it also works with the U410 (without contact).

  • Lenovo U410 battery sharp fall to 0%

    Hi guys n girls.

I just Lenovo U410 Windows 8 in February 2013. This afternoon, when I was using the laptop in power saving mode, I was able to use an hour from 60% to 48%. After checking the battery percentage when he was at 48%, 5 minutes later the low battery warning showed by saying that the laptop has 6% left, then he stops himself.

    Here are the situations:

I use it rarely and I left it for 1 week more, and two days ago, that I used it for 15 minutes and then I took out n used today.

I used it in power saving mode.

    I was running Windows update.

    Steam was updated.

    I was running OpenOffice.

Is this normal? This happens to others? Is there a way to fix this?

    Thank you

I have a M8400f desktop. If I do a recovery, bios will be be recovered to the original?

    Hello

If you can access the options you need, I wouldn't worry too much - I hope that you will find that the problem with the start screen will be fixed in a future update.

    All the best,

  • Lenovo U410 - cannot access BIOS

After I pressed Fn + F2, the message in the lower left corner changed "press fn + f2... "to"pending ". But then, it accesses the windows system.

I also tried with F2 without success. FN + F12 does not even change the message to the start screen.

I suspect it has something to do with UEFI-mode Setup of Windows 8. Since then, I have this problem of BIOS.

Try to disconnect the battery of the BIOS as well as any other power source. It shows a checksum error and the message "Press F2 for boot options." If I press F2, but it just goes back to Windows again. After that, there is no error message more, but the problem is still there. Nothing changes fundamentally.

Is any method of recovering the BIOS for this laptop available? There is still no BIOS file official website but.

  • Key issues of a recovery/key - Lenovo Y50

    Hello.

I have a few questions about one of the keys.

My laptop came with windows installed 8.1, and all drivers installed - to make sure that I've updated all the drivers via the Lenovo Web site and my via the website of nvidia graphics card driver.

    1. nothing happens when I press on the button recovery, when my computer is on - is this normal? Will not it pop up with a few options to restore or something? At least it should open the one touch application, right? When I press on it when the computer is off, it starts up with a BIOS screen with multiple options - everything as I thought it would be, so I guess that works very well.

    2. I did a a key backup through the application of a single key, I recorded it on my SSD drive since it is the only drive I have currently, although my SSD is great of 256 GB, I have also a small drive called "LENOVO", which contains the drivers etc, but it is 25 GB of big - I read somewhere that this disc has been lying for the backup of a key , but my current backup fills with 50 GB twice the capacity of the disk D: - is anyway I can make it smaller, or should I just get rid of the D: drive? In this case, how?

My one key application is Version 8.1.0.2619

I thank you for your time and have a nice day!

    Cheers - Simon

When you are connected to Windows, press ANY BUTTON will do nothing.

To start under Recovery there are options in the control panel or the Menu of charms. or as you did stop and press the NOVO button.

The D: contains the drivers for Lenovo, is NOT the recovery partition. The recovery partitions are hidden and cannot be seen in Control Panel > administrative tools > disk management

To make the best use of one key you create a recovery drive/USB disk.

It is not a backup of the system, but it is a recovery disk and must fit in a 16 GB USB key.

  • Password bios Lenovo B50

Hi, I work in a school and one of our students has managed to put a bios password on one of our new laptops of Lenovo b50-80. Start the laptop, bios application "password disk HARD security." We're not sure how Flash the bios to reset it - how can we do this? We have tried to remove the CMOS battery and took the laptop apart to see if there are jumpers, but there isn't.

Any help would be great. Thank you

I was hoping you'd be able to boot into recovery mode using the "Novo" button located on the right side, near the USB port. With the help of this button to start the laptop should put you in recovery mode (recovery of key) that is integrated with most of the units.

If this does not work, the only two choices are to recover the password set by the individual or have the computer repair at a local authorized store.

Go further, setting a master password for the BIOS entry may be something that you should look at. I suggest to download the user guide / manual and reading on the password levels available service. -IMO contacting parents and informing them that they would be responsible for the costs repair / replace the notebook can also be something useful - your call.

    Good luck.

  • Recovery BIOS for Satellite U400 - 138 PSU44E

    Hello

I could not with update of the bios that I had taken the official support page from toshiba bios file. I don't know that I had chosen the right bios file. But something is wrong and my laptop is brick, and now.

I'm trying to recover the bios with Phoenix crisis recovery. I tried 2-3 varieties of the recovery from the crisis.

I have a backup of the old bios, stable, so I'll try to recover with this old bios file. I tried Win + B, FN + B, Win + F, F + FN, Fn + Esc, keystroke U for the recovery from the crisis.
Furthermore, I use 1 GB drive/usb formatted FAT for this purpose. The machine will beep every time, and I'm waiting for 10 minutes or more after the beeps.

I put the file of bios on usb drive with a lot of names "bios.wph", ".fd", "bios.fd". Also I tried to use the usb disk, the bios file is 2 MB, so I couldn't do it.

I also tried the insyde recovery solution. I don't know the name of the file for recovery.
I looked at the file of bios with a hex editor, but I did not find the name of the file (for example bios.fd or something)

Please * don't * suggest to send laptop for service solution. I have to remedy in * 1-2 days * and the service is so far away from me and they work slowly. If I send to the service, I will not take the laptop for 2 weeks.

What can I do, what is the procedure of work? If toshiba allow us to update the bios, they must support for the recovery, too. ASP is not a solution for every time.

    * Any * help will be appreciated.

    Best regards.

  • Recovery BIOS ThinkServer RD630

    (3) copy amiboot.rom in the root of a USB key (it doesn't have to be bootable).

    (4) turn off the server (if not already).

    (5) turn the dip-switch number 1 BIOS recovery on IT (top) position. (location of the dip switch located on the lower part of the cover of the server).

    (6) USB key insert with amiboot.rom into a USB port on the server.

    (7) power on the server. The screen will be black for a minute, and you will hear 2 beeps.

    (8) when ThinkServer logo is displayed, press F1. Server continues to start the Setup program.

Here's where he goes wrong, all I get is a simple blinking cursor.

Funny it is starting the server perfectly. The only way I found out there was a problem is that I had to set the IP BMC etc.

This is the same problem that

ThinkServer RD530 BIOS Recovery as of 14/02/2014?

    never is the procedure below...

    (9) configuration screen appears and the BIOS flash should start automatically. Wait for flash finish.

    (10) when the flash is complete, the server will restart - turning the server off.

    (11) key USB remove server.

    (12) flip the Recouvrance BIOS switch dip 1 OFF position (down).

    (13) power on the server.

Solution to this is to update the firmware of the LSI, and then you can go back into the BIOS again.

It means anything, its with amd e450 apu and its Japanese version, which has the Japanese keyboard.

    Kind regards

    [Solved]

    The fixed!

So for everyone with the same model and same problem: it turns out that this bios don't really boot block. If the bios failure = brick Clipboard without recovery options.

But here's how I solved mine. Bought a SPI programmer, ic clip (soic8), some test wires and fact adapter to connect the programmer ind clip. Had some problems and also had to change downloaded bios because I didn't have the right backup but after little playing, he shot straight up. If you have good rom backed up, flashing should be easier. It is the solution for those who have more technical, but much easier than the chip soldering skills.

  • WinRE disabled after resizing partition recovery of Lenovo and OneKey Re works

    System: Lenovo Yoga 700-14ISK 80QD

The almost 4 GB of free space on the partition of Lenovo have been very tempting, after researching if it is safe and also, I decided to give it a go by using a 3rd party free software has saved me several times in the past (MiniTool Partition Wizard). Interesting that most tutorials on create a recovery drive and the removal of the partition, but I decided for now to get just the free space until it takes more, and I did not find that resizing with 3rd party software will mess up your WinRe settings only once this has been done. Here's the info of the agent:

    /Info C:\Windows\System32>REAgentC
Recovery environment Windows (WINRE) and system reset
    Information:

    Status of Windows RE: disabled
    WINRE location:
Identifier of the Configuration Data (BCD) of startup: 47251840-c09c-11e5-af06-00808a8e1ce5
    Location of recovery image:
    Image Recovery index: 0
    Location of the custom image:
The index of the custom image: 0

    REAGENTC. EXE: Successful Operation.

After resizing and the recovery agent control, I realized that I lost details such as the location of the partition, offset and id. After changing the System32/recovery with outreach and id ReAgent.Xml it was not enough to allow that the path for the location of winre etc miss me him.

This is what my file looks like now:

Can someone help me and give me the necessary adjustments?

My laptop works fine and OneKey recovery works well, except that I cannot create a recovery drive more. Thank you.

After watching my partitions and shifts again, I modified the agent accordingly re and now I am able to create a recovery drive.

    Solution:

    1. Mode of high open CMD
    2. type diskpart
    3. partition of type list
    4. use select partition = x where x is the number of the partition that you are interested to see the details
    5. partition detail to see GUID, offset and other type information
    6. Type exit
    7. Change Windows/System32/Recovery/ReAgent.xml
      • Change path, offset, and guid for tag WinreLocation
      • That's why your score are hidden to make sure that the path looks like this:
        • \\?\GLOBALROOT\device\harddiskY\partitionX\Recovery\WindowsRE
        • Where is the number of hard disk - usually so unique 0
        • Where X is the partition for WinRE number determined in step 4
      • Apply the same logic to PBRImageLocation tag to partition LENOVO_PART
    8. In CMD type reagentc /info and now you should be able to see your location
    9. If step 8 failed try reagentc first enable and repeat step 8
    10. I don't know if it is relevant or not, but a computer restart might help and repeat steps 8, 9
