recovery of the imovie app

My IMovie app has disappeared on my imac. I can see in the bin of some files, how can I recover or get the imovie app? back on the imac?

Hi el cruce,.

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple! I'm sorry to hear you're having this problem with iMovie on your Mac. If you forgot voluntarily remove it and there are still files in the Recycle Bin (indicating that it has not been emptied recently), it is more likely that iMovie may have simply been accidentally moved or misplaced. If this is the case, you should be able to locate using Spotlight, such search indicated in the following articles:

  • Can't see the photos from the Photos App in iMovie

    Hello

I came home from vacation and wanted to do quick video for my friends.
Open iMovie, clicked on the photo library and was expecting to see my recent photos (at least). However, there were a few random photos year and months old, some of them I have deleted enough of course, don't know how they ended up there.

I tried to reconnect photos iCloud and resynchronize, however anything.

Any ideas what to do? Of course broke him "it works"

    Thanks in advance

Looks like your problem is with Photos not iMovie. You can see your photos in the photos app? Using iCloud photo library? If yes then maybe you need to wait for iCloud Sync photos to your Mac.

  • Can I really not import the Photos app in iMovie?

    Hello

I use iMovie 10.0.8 on a Macbook Pro running El Capitan 10.11.4. I am the only user of this Mac and its running in standard mode administrator/Overlord. There is no guest user account, or anything else.

I have a Nikon camera, when I import pictures and video of the Nikon, it goes directly into the program the picture of Apple. It is very good.

However, when I want to import photos or video in iMovie he won't let me. I have to physically move the things I want in a new folder on the desktop and then iMovie has no problem to see and import.

Am I stupid? I simply click on the button import into iMovie, look in Macintosh HD but the photos app is grayed out! I just want to be able to empty all in Photos and then import from there, as I want to!

iMovie shows you all the libraries of pictures in the section 'my media '.

    For example:

Click on 'My media', and then click the photo library in the sidebar and wait a bit.  Photos will show you every moment, and albums, ready to drag the photos and clips to the timeline of your project.

My screenshot is iMovie 10.1.2.  You can update iMovie for El Capitan 10-11, 4.

  • Where is the iMovie projects folder on the new iMovie 10.1.1 App?

I'm going through a project for a new Mac iMovie folder (with all the latest news app) on an external hard drive so that I can give it to a friend to change. I type in the iMovie projects in my search for spotlight on Finder and it does not appear. My old mac computer doesn't have this problem. It appears in the older Mac. My new Mac using iMovie version 10.1.1 and my old iMovie 10.0.5. Does anyone know of a solution on what I should look for or how to find it?

    -Justin

iMovie 10 has more iMovie and records events iMovie projects.  Everything is inside a package with the .imovielibrary extension.  Its default location is the users / < username > / films.  For more information, see: http://help.apple.com/imovie/mac/10.1/#/mov3fa25bae7

If want to use it on another computer, the computer must use the same version of iMovie.  If you are using media from another library (for example, Photos, iTunes, etc.), you will have to "consolidate the library first.  See: http://help.apple.com/imovie/mac/10.1/#/mov882dee351

  • El Capitan: Cannot open the application "app name" because it may be damaged or incomplete

Came across this several times. After you initially upgrade to El Capitan 10.11.2, after logging into my main account (admin), I was not able to open applications and received the following error:

"Cannot open the application name"app"because it may be damaged or incomplete."

I couldn't open "Activity Monitor", "System Preferences", "Finder" or anything (provided, App Store or other system). The icons will revert to the default application icon. Other users have no problem with the same apps.

After the panic, I found a solution: go to another admin account, delete the old user account, and then add it again. This version corrects the problem of this user; It apparently rebuilt the user for that user identity information, while leaving their home folder (and preferences, documents, key rings, etc.) only. iCloud information must be re-entered, but it is trivial. Once the user delete and add, I was able to run these applications.

When I upgraded to 10.11.3, it is the same thing, but to 3 accounts. I managed to solve this problem through the guest account - that is, I was still able to authenticate as an administrator, but I could not open a session and run anything.

El Capitan removed permissions repair; I think it can be done in the recovery console, but I shouldn't do that.

No idea why this continues to be?

Generally to searching for the above error message is specific to applications from the App Store or other, not about things like "Activity Monitor" and "System Preferences."

    You now have this problem?

  • lost iMovie app

After updating to OS X El Capitan on my MacBook Air, I tried to update the software iMovie & seem to have lost the original iMovie app.  How do I replace it?

What version do you have?  If it was version 9, you find that he was put in a clean folder in the Applications folder.

If it was version 10, then open the App Store and go to "purchase".  Using the same identifier Apple which was used initially to buy the app (or to set up the computer if it came with a new computer), you should see listed iMovie and a button to download.

  • How to reinstall the Photos app. ?

He is a previous question I posted about getting the "update not available with this user Id" when you try to install an update of Photos under OS X 10.11.2. Someone sent a response recommending photo backup (done) and then uninstall and reinstallation of the Photos. But from what I can tell pictures is part of the operating system, does that mean reinstall the whole OS? I had just installed El Capitan, which did not remove the problem and without doubt this is a complete update of the OS. The problem is that the pictures show that version 1.3 and it cannot install the latest version. ID Apple is correct because he has worked for six other App updates. Thank you.

I have no idea of what you read, but you do not delete the Photos app, because it is part of the ad operating system shouldn't be messed with

to install the Photo, you must install the operating system (once again because it is part of the operating system) - you can do this by using the capabilities of recovery of the BONES of Captain of El - OS X: on OS X Recovery - Apple Support

    Hi all

    DB - 10.2.0.2.0

We frequently make the iPhones ' of the database. This time, we do update the time in function of

in this case, whaich is the sequence, use while show time-based recovery.
Another question, for the updating of the database, we move of dbf and source fom archive for target.
Before performing recovery, now in testing, we need time archives
and dbf. I recently read the book of Arup that we can do that, but I don't know, it may time
be reached by managed user backups backups hot.

Furthermore, after the time based recovery, how
can we know, how late the databsae restoration.

Quick response you would be very appricaited.

Here you can see that in the control line repositry START YVERT data files (CHECKPOINT_SCHANGE #) is 1350307, whenever the control points occur, Oracle writes a START SCN for the data file headers, he writes as well the START SCN in controlfile for each data file. The control file maintains also another value SCN for each feed with START YVERT is the RCS STOP, this STOP SNA is usually zero (infinite) when your status of databases is open and datafile status is online, the null state shows that recovery will start SNA START and will go until the end of the wire again. The STO SNA here is LAST_CHANGE #.

  • My photos and videos are not in chronological order, when I export the Photos app

Hello. When I export my photos and videos from the Photos app on my iMac all the photos and videos are not in order. I need all the photos in good standing - I need to export about 5 000 pictures of the application in order for a meeting next week! Help, please!

    Ethan.

This is not photo - it is a function of the viewing program (probably the finder) - once the photos are exprted form pictures you can see then in different ways which you control, Photos does not - by the finder you can view by name of son, byt several dates, by file size, etc.

Usually, the best way to accomplish what you want is to export using the names of batch file numbeing and then sort by file name in the program viewing

  • Open photo of Photos in the Preview app? Need info GPS and maps!

    Hello!

I write trip review and to see where my photo was taken (in the maps application), and what is digital gps coordinates for each image.

Search on google - go, I got that via this pic of opening in 'Preview' app.

But - I have all my pic in Photos app (automatically imported from my iphone to macbook pro Mac OS sierra).

so, I can export all the photos, I need, in a specific folder and then, from there, open it in the finder and get my info, of course - but looks silly, I think.

as I already have this pich in Photos - photo can I somehow open directly from Photos Preview app?

or obtain the gps position open, where this picture is taken in cards programm (not this small window, which is in the Photos, but wide, Maps application) / and obtain the coordinates of the gps directly via the Photos app?

  • I have two copies of the Installer.app?

I have two copies of the Installer.app?  When checking my monitor of activity because of the slowness, I have two applications installer which seem to be hogging cpu and memory.

Can I safely remove a... do something corrupt that they are constantly running?

    Howdy Celeste Jones,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

From your post it seems that you have a few cases of Installer.app running on your Mac.  You have installed previously, and you still see the installers running on your Dock?  If so, simply complete the installation process or to leave the installers.  If not, then let's go and just restart your computer in safe mode and restart normally to see if the problem persists:

  • Look at the maps app will not stop

When I look for direction in the maps on the watch application, it will not stop after that. I looked for directions to the airport, and then it does not cancel and kept taking me to the airport. I have ensured the application Maps on my phone was not working and he cancelled it but always watch will not stop.

I tried it yesterday and now today the watch gives me directions to the airport.

I tried to remove it from the docking, restarted my watch. Watch app from the phone Checked, but nothing works.

    Hello

To stop your watch directions: open the Maps app on your watch > firmly press the display > press on for policy decisions.

  • What happened to the clock app in the iPad?

I used to use the clock application in my iPad while you sleep as a kind of a large wall clock.

I just had open the app, tap on the clock I need, and he immediately enlarged its display and occupy the entire screen.

After that 10 updated iOS, the clock app is different in this regard and I can't enlarge the clock by all means.

Is it just me or the clock app came from changes (other than the bed/alarm thingy)?

Hope to have it back to know the time so only on my bed

    Hello

  • Is no longer able to navigate using the Remote app

I'm suddenly is no longer able to navigate (left, right, up, down) on the Apple TV using the remote app. I also tried with the new application. I'm t able to select the current item and return to the previous menu using button "Menu".

given that it could also have been a problem with the display of my mother's phone, I scroll on different applications etc and it works fine. So it seems that it is an application (or Apple TV) problem.

any ideas? I use an Apple TV, I bought 3 years ago.

    Thank you!

Make sure that the software on your TV is up-to-date. Perform a restart of settings or by unplugging the power cord for 30 seconds. Alternatively, you can perform a reset of settings.

  • My iPhone fall asleep watching videos with the YouTube app.

While watching a video, after a few minutes without touching the screen, it will go dim and then a few seconds later it turns off. I do not understand why it does this.

    Hi reggiefromtuscaloosa,

I understand that while you watch videos, after a few minutes the screen go dim, then turn off. I would like to watch videos on my iPhone, so I can understand the concern. I'll be happy to help you with this.

What you describe is the automatic locking function. You can adjust this setting in order to be able to watch your videos without interruption.

Use Auto-Lock and stimulus to Wake

After a period of inactivity, the Auto-Lock setting locks your screen with your password to help protect your personal information. Here's how to enable it or disable:

    1. Go to settings > general > auto-lock.
    2. Choose an amount of inactivity (from 30 seconds up to 5 Minutes) that turns off and lock your screen. Or to disable the auto-lock, select never.

Raise awareness about Wake towers on your screen as soon as you pick up your device. To turn this feature on or off, go to settings > general > display and brightness. Recovery in the morning works with iPhone 6s and later.

    * When it is used for commercial purposes or education, some devices may have password restrictions that prevent you from adjusting the automatic lock settings.

Adjust the display settings on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

    See you soon!
