• Control Panel content is weird (InDesign 5.5)

  My question has to do with the order of the Table of contents in InDesign 5.5. I'm setting up boating magazine with style sheets. I did it for many years, and I have never had any problems, create a table of contents. In this case, there are two styles that I use. One is 'Models', the other 'Model years.' The result for each table of contents entry looks something like, "Bertram 28 Cruiser, 1995-98." In any case, when I try to create the table of contents by using these two styles the load slider as he usually does, and I can see that the data looks as it should in the loaded cursor tool. But when I enter the data by clicking on where I want the text flow I'm getting a series of pictures of the boat. WTF! Then I go back and try again, but remove the model 'years' style. And this time the text flows well, but of course, it's only the text of 'Model' for the years models are missing for each entry. Then I go back and create a table of contents using only the style 'Model years' and, even if the loaded cursor icon shows that I have the correct text, all I get are the same images of boat when I click to place the text. How can this happen? Pictures are not of the text, and if I see that the cursor is loaded with text, I need why it won't it correctly place?

  Okay, Ed has sent me a sample file, and I found the problem.

  Images of big boat seem to be graphics inserted in their own points (which makes tehm a little pain to isolate - place the cursor in the previous paragraph or next and use the arrow keys), and THAT paragraph is also the style of modelyear. The good news is that it is fairly easy to fix using find/replace.

  On the GREP tab search for ^ ~ was$ which means anchored object an anchored object marker that is at the same time, the beginning and the end of a paragraph that is to say the only thing in there. Open the Format dialog box to find and choose the style of Modelyear in the Styel of paragraph drop-down list. This should keep you from finding other objects anchored in the file (and there are others).

  Leave the field empty period, but open the change of setting in the form of dialogue and in the paragraph Style drop-down list, choose [no paragraph Style].

  This problem should be solved.

  The only way I see that this would be possible through the use of JS that you can insert by using the object-> the option Insert HTML code, you can retrieve the XML to the HTML from here - http://www.w3schools.com/xml/xml_to_html.asp

  In order to check this, simply download the sample XML file from the following location - http://www.w3schools.com/xml/cd_catalog.xml and save it somewhere locally. Now to add this file to your Muse project using the file-> add files to the download option, then it appears in the active panel.

  Add the code to your page and update the path that references the file cd_catalog.xml to assets/cd_catalog.xml. Now on the preview of the page in the browser, you should see the HTML populated from the XML.

  This problem may occur by corrupt icon cache. To solve the problem, please rebuild the icon cache.

  1. click the buttonStart , then click computer .

  2. inthe toolbar, click organize , and then choose folder and Search Options .

  3. click on the tabdisplay , check to select the Show hidden files and folders option and clickOK .

  4. then enter the following directory:

  %UserProfile%\AppData\Local

  5 find theIconCache.db file and rename it as IconCache.db.old.

  6. close the window and restart the computer.

  (2) is the problem confined to this specific programme?

  (3) since when are you facing this problem?

  This problem normally occurs when you open Web pages in internet explore. Please specify if this happens when you open a program or opening a Web page or link in internet explore.

• All panels are missing in the develop module

  Can someone help me.  I've been using lightroom for a while.  So today for some reason, not only has disappeared from my base Panel but also any other Panel under the module development disappeared so I can't even right click on say, the "tone curve" or the "Correction of the objective '' to bring back the base Panel because each Panel is missing.  Can someone help me?  I uninstalled lightroom and reinstalled but still nothing.  I have no idea how to solve this problem.

  Develop, press Ctrl + 1 (Cmd + 1 on Mac) to the base Panel. Then right-click (Ctrl + click) to select others.

  Not use option + click on the control key. Or hold down two fingers on the trackpad. Click on the collections of Word, not the triangle on the left.

• Why is it I can't update a table of contents in Windows InDesign CS 5.5?

• CS5 Folio Builder Panel Update - missing Panel

  I've just updated the Panel Builder Folio for CS5 on Mac to the latest version (January 26, 2012) and when I run InDesign, Folio Builder Panel is gone. In addition, CSLive Panel gives me a message "internal error." I installed the updates on my PC for CS 5.5 and everything seems to work. However, I need to work in CS5 for this project. Is this a known issue? How to remedy the situation? In which case it is important, I've also updated producer Folio tools (January 17, 2012), as well.

  So, I ended up finding all ironed out, though it took a few hours of trying different things. Essentially, the Folio Builder Panel was installed, but Indesign did not see it. I tried to uninstall and reinstall Indesign, but which does not remove the Panel Builder Folio and has not "updated" it becomes visible.

  In the end, I had to go through the app records and manually uninstall the extension. After the relocation, the Panel stood. However, a new problem appeared. InDesign has tried to connect to my account but just turn and nothing happening. I could not cancel the in attempt to "sign". Finally, this has been resolved by opening the key ring and removing the entry of Adobe there allowed me to retype my credentials.

  Phew. Thank God, it's on. (until the next update, that is).

  If all goes well, this can save others some time that can run in this. Looks like it was a little lucky.
