Red files in dreamweaver cs6

When I created my site www.GreaterIAHomeSearch.com (which is now down), in my directory I had my all green issues.  When I added a domain to my main account and synced to my ftp server. I noticed that my files are now red.  Will this be a problem?

I created a new folder itself and named after my new Web site.  It should be in its own folder, not related to the greateriahomesearch.  What I am doing wrong?

Thank you

This point of view is selected in your files window in the menu on the right? The folder colors change depending on the view you are in.

Create a new folder of in DW will add it to any site is selected in the left menu drop-down window files. Since DW wants to manage your property for you, you need to create a new site, if you want to make a case unrelated to your current site.

  • How to add an animated slideshow created in Photoshop CS6 to the HTML file in Dreamweaver CS6?

Should what steps I follow to perform this task?  I have already completed a slideshow animated in Photoshop CS6 and registered for the Web, which produces an HTML file and a. GIF.  Everything I need to know now is how to insert the slideshow in my HTML from Dreamweaver CS6 file.  Your comments would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

It is usually best if you use Photoshop for images only.  The html code generated by graphics applications is too quick to use on the web.

In DW, insert the animated gif in your HTML page with the Insert panel.

  • How can I open my CS4 files in Dreamweaver CS6

I just purchased the CS6 in the cloud and downloaded Dreamweaver.  I assumed CS6 would see all my files from Dreamweaver, but it doesn't!  There is no file to open when I open the CS6.  How can I get CS6 recognize all my DW CS4 files and open them?

CS6 is very different from previous versions of DW.

You can create your site definitions manually by going to the Site > Manage Sites or new Site >

Or you can export definitions of CS4 site and import them into CS6.

If you still have access to your old hard drive, you can try to export your site settings...

Menu: Site > Manage Sites. Select the site and click Export selected site.

Simply import the ste on your new computer, and you're going to be ready.

  • Compare files Dreamweaver CS6

Someone was able to get the functionality compare the file in Dreamweaver CS6 work in Mountain Lion?

    BeyondCompare is Windows only.

On a Mac, install TextWrangler (without barebones.com) and make sure you install it with the utilities. You can then set the path to the file comparison utility to/usr/local/bin/twdiff.

I just tested it on Mountain Lion, and it works.

  • Error message when you save a file in DW - CS6

When I go to save a file in Dreamweaver CS6 using Windows 7,

    I get this error message.

"When executing onLoad in bc_afterSave.htm, follwing javascript errors occurred"

    In the file "bc_aftersave.htm";

    OnLoad is not defined

Everything was going well for years now, I get this annoying error message. Saves the file, but the error message still appears.

I use Adobe Application Manager and get my software through the cloud of Adobe.

I tried to delete the configuration file waiting for th DW would automatically create a new one, but that didn't work.

I would not have to uninstall and reinstall DW because I have dozens of sites I need to reconfigure

    Any help with this?

bc_aftersave.htm is a file that is located in the controls Configuration of Dreamweaver. Is generally required when you work with Business Catalyst.

The error you see may be due to a faulty file.

I enclose the offending file - "bc_aftersave.htm" in this thread. Download and restore it in the following folder:

    C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS6\\Configuration\Commands

Locate the bc_aftersave.htm file, replace this file with the one that I join here to see if it solves the problem.

  • Animate edge and Dreamweaver cs6

Although the Adobe Dreamweaver videos show a way to import Edge files in Dreamweaver cs6 media insert features, I just bought my CS6 doesn't have this option.  Y at - it a plug-in / extension I can add?

Was purchased as point or via the Cloud Adobe product?

I think that its an Adobe exlusive cloud update, as shown here - http://www.adobe.com/ca/products/dreamweaver/features.html

If your product is a subscription cloud one, then it should be avialable as a Dw update > help > updates menu command.

  • Dreamweaver CS6 and CC2014.1 won't open the files

I'm having trouble with Dreamweaver CS6 and CC2014.1 do not open most of my files.  On two occasions, a technology Adobe had access to my computer, but they were unable to resolve the problem.  A previous support via chat session did not resolve the matter.  After that the 3rd tech was taken out of my computer, the computer go haywire.  It was the biggest mess I've ever seen.  Suddenly he brightened and DW began to work properly.  I went on vacation and after his return, DW won't open most of my files.  I tried all the suggestions in the forums and YouTube.  Someone please help.  I lost many, many hours of valuable work time.

An interesting thing occurred.  I have just connected my desktop computer to a wi - fi connection in a hotel that uses the service of the Charter.  I can now open my web pages in DW.  A few weeks ago, I used a WiFi by another service provider and could not use DW.  After that I was in a cabin by using the service and everything worked fine.  Earlier today, I was connected with dish and could not use DW.  For 3 weeks, I was in Germany and elsewhere in Europe and had no trouble using DW.  So that explains all the problems.  There are providers of services.

  • Files on Dreamweaver CC are compatible with Dreamweaver CS6?

Anyone happens to know about it? I'm in a class of web design and we are working on a mid-term; the computers at my college has CS6, but now that I'm Home I have to work in the medium term with the CC version. I'm curious to know if the file to Dreamweaver at home is affected when I get it on CS6. Last semester, I made a similar mistake, but it's with InDesign CC. I am now worried that the same thing will happen with Dreamweaver.

HTML and CSS are the same new deal including the editor you are using.

For example, you can migrate safely between versions.  However, the features that are available in one but not the other (Spry menus, for example), will not have the same level of support for Panel.  But you can work with the code.

  • Dreamweaver CS6 - SWF file problem.

I use Dreamweaver CS6, I inserted a SWF file in my index.php located on localhost (XAMPP). When I try to preview my page (on chrome or IE, or Dreamweaver Live), it asks Flash Player 16. I installed it but still ask for it. All solutions?

Have you tried to load a test page to your Web site? Preview Flash locally is hit or miss.... unless what I remember. If it works on your site using multiple browsers, then I think that you cannot ignore the problem of local insight.

  • Dreamweaver CS6 uses old deleted files: How can I get rid of them?

    Hello world

This is my first post... I have a problem which is really annoying. Using Dreamweaver CS6 on desktop Win 7-64 bit, I had outside assistance to transfer a website in html5 and CSS3. When the site was almost finished, I have imported the entire site and worked on it by myself using Dreamweaver CS6. This worked well, until I again had outside help in the index.html file. I imported the new index.html file which worked on the outside, but dreamweaver does not allow this: he continues to show the old index.html file that I had deleted before, even when I try to re - import the site etc. The web, I found that it might be useful to delete the history of files using regedit. I did and also tried my best remove every vestige of the old version, aftzer, used CCleaner and Tuneup Utilities 2014, and even once, it did not help. I thought then that the only way would be for installing Dreamweaver CS6, still clean my computer to any what rest probably filed or files .bak and then after several raises and processes of cleaning, I have re-installed Dreamweaver CS6, in the hope that it works now. However, new Dreamweaver came up with the same problem. Somewhere in the mists of your hard drive, dramweaver must always have access to the long deleted files and even once does not allow me to work on the new corrected index.html file. Anyone of you have any idea how I can get this working properly? Thank you so much in advance and greetings from the Lake District Salzburg, Giraldus

    Mr Hans-Günter,

    Dear all,

I have a solution: I open the file 'wrong', completely leached all the HTML and JavaScript, open the actual file with firefox, then copied the code from here and pasted in the now empty index.html file. Then, I stored this one and now it works and the old .bak? copy has disappeared!

Thanks to you, dear Hans-Gungter, and all who could probably thought about my problem with Dreamweaver.

and the best of Salzburg Lake District,

    Giraldus
