Red spots on the photo of the sunset

I was taking pictures of the sunset at a recent wedding with the sunset on my Nikon D7100.  The images have a reflective red spot in them.  How is the best way to remove or decrease, it?  clone/healing tool will not work because of the detail behind the place.

It's flare - internal reflections between the lens elements. Zooms are particularly prone to this because of the number of lenses.

The best way to deal with these things (apart from the shooting with lenses preferred when possible), is to make a couple of adjustment layers that will fix the most extreme area entirely. Then you hide and invert the mask, so that the adjustment is hidden. You can do this on different layers, or group them and hide the group.

The idea is now little by little the paint in the adjustment with a soft brush to a low opacity. The great advantage of this is that you simply press X to reverse if you overdo. This way you can go back until it's right.

Oh BTW, your file is ProPhoto RGB, never a good choice for web content. Convert to sRGB before posting.

The reason why I asked because there is no red spots on the photo you have posted and I thought you were trying to illustrate the problem. Red spots show that you have your highlight clipping indicator enabled so that reflections that are cut can be identified. I have both light and shadow, indicators of clipping turned on all the time so that I can adjust these areas and eliminate cutting insofar as possible.

  • Red spots in the headlights.

I use Lightroom 6 months and this problem just started today.

When I import pictures of trains, the headlights seem normal.

As soon as I go to the develop module, the headlights have bright red spots in them.

The is nothing wrong with the photos.  I tried 6 UN-installing of Lightroom and re - install

but the problem persists.  Any help much appreciated.

You have the icon to show the matches of the Clipping enabled in the histogram (right to the top in front of triangle in the histogram).

You can click to turn or press j to toggle highlight both clipping shadow power.

  • Red spots on the pictures in the LR5 Development Module

I have red and blue spots on the pictures in the LR5 Development Module. Seems to be primarily in the light areas of the photo. Not there in the library module. I have noticed this in the beta version as well but thought that it would be fixed before release. In LR4.4, all right.

Disable clipping indicators in the histogram in the develop module.  Are the small triangles in the upper corners left and right of the histogram.

  • Red spots on the skin when printing with the HP PhotoSmart 8400 printer

I am trying to print a JPEG image that is very high resolution (3000 x 2000) and the quality is superb on my monitor.

However when I try to print on my HP PhotoSmart 8400 printer there is a strange red 'sand' pattern (pixelation) that appears on the skin of most of the bodies of the subjects. I did the test the page and sample page that look ok, but does not use the same colors and has not any skin tone (it's a picture of Orchid).

I tried this on glossy paper and regular paper, and it seems to pretty much the same, with the effect more pronounced on glossy paper. I also tried to change the image in several different ways, including lowering the resolution, changing colors and adding a blur gaussing, but cannot get rid of the strange grainy effect.

Can you get it someone please let me know if it is a common problem with the device, or if my photo is somehow wrong? If Yes, where can I get a picture called to test the printing of skin tone, or how can I solve the problem.

    Thank you!

Update: I tried with another photo on the web and I see the same effect. Given that this printer is a few years old I start thinking that it's just a physical limitation of the printer.

Found problem - I replaced my cartridge 99 and that fixed it.

I didn't expect this type of behavior because of the low level of ink, but I guess there is a first time for everything ():

  • Get rid of white spots on the old photo

    Hello

Most of them can be fixed with the Checker task tool. The brush can create problems you may need to use the clone tool. If the task is small blur can also be used. Which is kind of how works the filter spot and scratch.

  • Red spots in LR 2.6 watch one imported RAW Photos

I've been a happy user of Lightroom from the beginning, but my allegience it erodes quickly since the upgrade to version 2.6 64 bit.  I noticed immediately that the function of automatic development, which in the past has worked very well and often not required no tweaking from me, just not very good more.  It doesn't seem to do much, it causes the picture to be over-exposed many or I need to change the photo myself.  Another problem is that some photos have huge red spots in some areas, mainly on the white or othe slightly color boxes.  These tasks do not appear on the converted images, but they obviously shouldn't be there when I'm processing in LR and it's very distracting.

Speaking of the conversion to other formats, the only complaint for a long time, I had with LR that I would like to know if there is an option to disable the opening of records to show pictures of converts.  I don't feel as if I have to see every single photo in Windows Explorer every time that I convert it into another format.  I'm perfectly able to open Windows Explorer myself if I want.  What's worse, is that if you ignore it, it opens a new instance of the Explorer for each converted file.

Auto-ton has never worked for me. I would just ignore it. If you know the tools, it's much faster and more reliable for all this by yourself.

Red spots: you probably have the indication burst enabled clipping. In your histogram in the top right, there is a small triangle pointing upward. Click to disable the warning of overexposure. There is a similar indicator for connect the shadows on the upper left of the histogram. Alternatively, you can press 'J' to switch between modes

Your last question is on export, I guess? You never convert anything in Lightroom as you never overwrite the original file. In the export Panel, there is an option on the bottom of the list called "post processing". If you don't want to open Explorer, simply set this 'status quo' and save it as an export of new presets.

Need help screen problem.  Have a black spot, down from the top of the screen a green line.  Have a black spot at the bottom of the screen.  A photo is attached.

Can I fix it?  How can I solve this problem?

    Hi @JBBenson,

Welcome to the HP Forums! I read your post and wanted to help.

I understand that you have a black spot, down from the top of the screen a green line. You can connect an external monitor to your laptop. If the external monitor is displayed well, it may be the laptop screen broken. You can contact the store local repair, or HP support by phone for repair.

If you need to contact the HP support by phone, please the following link http://www.hp.com/contacthp allows you to create a folder for your problem and contact HP. If you do not live in the United States / Canada, please click on the link http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-phone-assist.html to get contact information for your region.

  • Battery will not charge. Display shows the extreme right red bars on the battery symbol and a white symbol for wire candle underneath.

Two places of charger and different threads. The phone appears with a black screen, only this time with a RED bar to the left, showing the horizontal (usually green inside status bar) symbol which indicates a REALLY low battery and a NEW symbol for what looks like a power outlet under. See photo. Phone was unusable, while it is plugged. I pressed the two buttons necessary to reset and nothing happened for several minutes. While I put the phone down for a while, then only made the Apple logo appeared in a reboot. Surprised it took at least a minute or two to turn it back on. Clues as to what it all means? Or was - this all simply SO sink for battery charging that it adds this symbol of the additional card on the screen?

You hear the sound of loading when you connect the phone to the computer or adapter?

Leave it connected to the adapter for at least 30 minutes, then check again if the battery charge during this time. Before you connect, make sure that the docking port is free of any debris or lint build-up, which may prevent it from loading.

The phone is recognized by iTunes if you connect it to the computer. You use the original adapter and USB cable provided with the phone?
