redirect a site to another

Hello

My sister asked me to help him with a Web site that she had made a few years ago. It's a site that has been designed in Flash (something I don't have a lot of knowledge) and wants to redirect the existing site to a Wordpress blog, it has put in place.

The original web address is http://www.copywritercarolyn.com

I tried to do with a .htaccess file, but it doesn't seem to be recognized (not sure if I was placing it in the right place on the server), and I also tried to do it using php.

<? php header (' Location: http://copywritercarolyn.wordpress.com');  ?>

and I tried.

< META HTTP-EQUIV = "refresh" CONTENT = "0; URL =http://copywritercarolyn.wordpress.com//' > .

but nothing seems to work properly, so I assume I'm doing something wrong. The last piece of code has worked up to a point, but there was a delay in forwarding users got a quick snippet of the original site before he took them to the new site.

Can anyone offer any help?

If your sister plans to keep the current hosted site where it is, you can create a page to redirect to his server and name it index.html (to replace the current domain name home page).

  • HOSTS file: How can I redirect on 1 site to another

Hi, quick question, I'm trying to see how to redirect a site from its base? in its version secure / encrypted (and if it exists).

There could be a secure version that still exist for a prefix: https://

If not, do / automatic verification of that...

for example, I (would try to show in google or yahoo, but they all seem both go automatically to https:// don't know if it's sites, or a setting on my pc..),

These examples do not seem to work in the hosts file

(are they correct / is there a work around so that they work)

the following does not seem to work, but they exist when typed in manually.

http://en.Wikipedia.org https://en.Wikipedia.org # note addition of "s" in https, thank you.
    http://www.Wikipedia.org/ https://www.Wikipedia.org/

is it possible to automatically check all the sites to an encrypted version?

    for example:

    http:// https://

You can not do with the HOSTS file. Server IP does not change when you switch to https.

You need the HTTPS Everywhere | Electronic Frontier Foundation extension and a browser that supported. Firefox or Chrome. Note that it only works on sites that have an equivalent in https.

  • How to transfer the Dreamweaver site in another computer?

Hello! So I worked on Dreamweaver to design a Web site for the school. I need to transfer it to one of the mobile school (which has no Dreamweaver on it) so that I can present it to the class. Now, my question is how can I do this? I need to have the file on a USB (or Google Drive) is possible to transfer the Dreamweaver project on the laptop if it doesn't have Dreamweaver? Or is there some kind of workaround for it? If it helps, I use a desktop computer Windows at the school and my school Macbooks.

PS I'm a high school student who is new to the Web design and have never used Dreamweaver until last week. Any help is really appreciated.

If your site does not use scripts on the server side, all you need to do is copy the folder that contains the files of the site on another storage such as a USB key.

This is no different than files that are created by using other applications such as Word or Excel.

  • How to link a site to another in Muse

I created two separate sites in Muse. I need a link from one site to the other of Muse. I don't want to redraw my first Web site to include the second Web site.

Every effort I made to link to the website of the second failed. I tried a link to the second Web page index.html file, but it did not work when I saw in the browser. Even when I move the HTML file in the folder of the first site and link to the index of the second site, it does not work. There must be a way to do this. I don't want to redraw my first Web site to include the second Web page. I have something that I am trying to accomplish what does not allow this. I need to be able to put a link from the first site that I created in Muse to the second, and this arrangement is maintained when I saw in the browser, at which point the two sites feature correctly. I start on the first Web site, click on the link and the browser opens on the second site I created, as if I had a link to a page already in the web.

    Thank you.

The only way would be to:

1: publish the two sites and link in both sense between the two (not ideal)

2: copy and paste the required content of a site to another Muse. Not need to redo anything, just open two sites in Muse and add old content to the new site.

This isn't a question of Muse. It's just the way the web works.

  • the display of the recent sites from another device?

How to find the recent site I worked on other device, I can't find it anywhere?

You mean a .muse on another computer file work? Or just viewing site on another device?

If the first case, then you would simply--> Open file... and browse your hard drive for your file .muse for the site. If it's the latter, then just type the URL in the browser on the device what ever you use.

    Hi Michael

Move single accommodation, should not influence seo. Change the site host requires a change in the location of the file, so no impact. However, I found a video that will understand this

  • Can portlet redirect the homepage to another?

For example: a portlet that contains an inputtext field and a button when the user type something, click on, then the portlet redirect the homepage to another.

    Thank you.

It is certainly not a good practice to do something like that because you create a hard coupling between the portal and portlet that you should avoid... But you are still able to do it with a few steps and tricks.
    It is not so easy...

Your portlet needs to expose an event when you click on this button. Your page of your must subscribe to this event and in the event handler, you can write code that will make the navigation.

  • WRT330N, redirection when site blocked at another page

Here's what I do.  I have an access policy to my WRT330N, configured to block access to certain web sites.  Currently, trying to back up one of these sites showed the "forbidden" page Wrds.  I would like to have something a little more explanatory or redirect to a web site hosted on a computer on the local network.  Is this possible and if so, how?

Replacing the WRT is not an option.

    Thank you

    Jason has.

If I'm not wrrong, you want to say is that you have already blocked certain Web site through your router, and when some try to access this site it should then order to your site, which you host it on your computer.

If you think about it, then it is not possible through the Linksys router. If you have blocked some website of the Linksys router, and if someone tried to access to this Web site, it will always display them "forbidden".

  • Before loading the site asked, another site is loaded all the ads have installed malware stuff but do not stop it

When I entered a Web site, in particular of Google, before my shipment of the requested site, another site is loaded - one for the advertising of other websites, etc. In order to get to that I entered, I come back (with the help of the arrow of the Web site), and then really hit enter on my keyboard. I thought it was some sort of Mal-ware, but who have cleaned, but he always does this - it's driving me crazy!

Make a check of malware with some scan of malware programs. You need to scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program. Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database prior to scanning.

  • EU binkiland malware removed, now on my Web site opens another window

New laptop with windows 8.1 when downloading one of the software programs I need, had a few malware. Binkiland was one of them, another I don't remember name of. Got the two removed after several hours. the binkiland went to the register, everywhere in my pc and in: config in firefox.

At random, it seems to happen that, while on a website, a window will open up with advertising stuff on it. I see it happen today to my own Web site, which has zero advertising on it. I pressed my links on this site and a tab open with advertising "Kelly Blue Book".

In general, I find that windows 8.1 seems not as robust for malware / attacks on windows 7. I can't believe how crap got installed on this new PC, which never happened in my 35 years of establishment of personal computers. Well, having needed to vent a bit, Google Chrome got also installed after the installation of FireFox, and for sure I look at these screens and set the options. I think that Avast is probably doing this, don't ever saw this option appear so I could uncheck it.

I looked for the addons of Firefox, the only thing it is Avast.

    Appreciate your help.

    Thank you
    Betsy

You can start with some additional scanners, because everyone tends to find different things. Our technical support article lists the tools that other Firefox users have found useful: Troubleshooting Firefox problems caused by malware. These are free and take a long time to run. If they seem to end quickly, especially if they require the payment you can have a more serious infection. Specialized forums listed in the article would be the next stop in this case.

If the links are being diverted, an extension is the prime suspect. An extension with hiding capabilities, you can visit the Add-ons page once again mode without failure of Firefox. It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
    • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still works

After stops in Firefox, a small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not reset).

All new extensions? Any change in behavior?

Links can also be hijacked by a proxy or if your DNS settings have been hacked. To check the settings of Firefox, you can use:

"3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > advanced > tab mini network > button "settings".

The default value of "Use system proxy settings" piggybacks on your LAN-Windows/IE setting, but you can also try 'no proxy '.

  • I type a Web site and get back the site in another language, how do I turn off

When I type a Web site, it returns on the site, but in another language. For example:

If I type: 'www.google.com', in return he takes me to the "www.google.com/pr", which is in Spanish.

If I don't want to go, I just type.

    Can it be disabled?

Hi, it only happens to google or another site too?

If your life in "Puerto Rico", it takes to google.com.pr, because services based on google always go with location.

    Try google.com/ncr for google.com
