Connect USB hard drive to the SD2010KY DVD player

Hi there Aussieland...

* More about SD2010KY DVD player + * bought on a month back...

Any kind dbo know the answer to:

Could it be caused damage to run a USB connection external 3 1/2 "HD (160 g) - say a .avi movie - into the USB port on the front of the unit?

That is to say, power supply of the unit will be responsible for the extra bit Ok?

Or is this the wrong forum to ask this detail? :)

Thank you - everything you need to know about would of course be appreciated...

See you soon

To be honest, it is Toshiba forum created for calculation problems.
In any case, check the drive specification to see if the USB port has enough power for external HARD disk. I had old DVD player and I could only use USB keys.

You can try to connect USB HDD to see if the drive will be recognized correctly. You won't damage anything.

    Hello

    Owner of a newly acquired Satellite Z930-15 X, I have a few questions/problems:

    (3) the portable computer is wobbly on reception. I put a bit of thin paper at the corner of a bottom (bottom left) so that it can be stabilized. Apparently, the problem is also mentioned in another thread. Is there a suggestion to fhix this problem?

  • IdeaPad V570 - I need my external USB hard drive to the new drive D

I have all my work files on a hard disk of laptop HD that allows me to share my work between my desktop and my laptop. My portable HD player was named D: drive because of the huge amount of custom templates special and the formulas that I use in my daily work. Unfortunately, the software I'm using is old fashioned so I can not change the drive letter.

Because my old laptop crashed I now have the new IdeaPad V570 so I had to change the drive letters when it dawned on me that the Lenovo D: drive is full of drivers, fingerprints and One - Key recovery software that probably, I can not change the letter of the drive on. What can I do?

As seems to be important, mission critical, in your case I would suggest the following:

After that the creation of a set of records of recovery and backup of your files, if you have not already, go ahead and change the drive letter. I confess that I do not know the V570, but honestly, I can't imagine Lenovo put anything on the D drive which, once removed would affect the functionality of the system.

  • When I plug my portable hard drive to the usb port it does not read and display the contents...

When I plug my portable hard drive to the usb port it does not read and display the contents...

    Hi deaza,.

Ø Have you connected the USB hard drive to the computer directly or you have used an external USB hub to connect?

O trying to connect to another USB port to check if it works?

O the hardrive shows in windows of the computer when you connect it?

    Method 1:
If you have installed security software, I suggest you to temporarily disable the security software and connect the USB and check to see if the same problem happens. Make sure that you enable the security software after checking.

Alternatively, you can try to plug the USB key into a different USB port and check if it helps.

    Method 2:
I suggest trying to launch hardware and troubleshooting of devices and check to see if it helps, here is the link:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/What-to-do-when-a-device-isn ' t-installed-correctly

    Method 3:
If this does not help, then follow these steps:

    (a) remove all your USB devices. Use the safely remove the feature to turn them off.

    (b) open Device Manager and navigate to the section for USB. Uninstall all USB drives. There should be one for each USB port, and then restart.

To open Device Manager, go to the link below and follow the steps:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-Device-Manager

    (c) Windows should re - find all of the devices. If it is not the case, note the error message and let us know.

You can also navigate to the link below and follow the steps to install the USB device.

  • AC2400 (E8350) router cannot map USB hard drive in Windows network.

    Hi all

I recently bought the Linksys AC2400 wireless router and a USB 3 Western Digital Elements 2 TB hard drive.

The network works perfectly, except for the USB hard drive. The firmware on the router recognizes it okay, but in the windows network, I can't access your hard drive. I simply get a path not found error.

    I tried:

Y access inside or outside Windows Homegroup.

-Re - formatting in the linksys configuration (Fat32... There is room for improvement)

-Test the USB drive directly into the PC, works perfectly and formatted in NTFS.

    -Turn off all firewalls.

-Tried the port USB2/Esata instead of the USB3

Also, from another computer on the network, I get the same error.

Pre-installed on the hard drive was a mediaserver program called Twonky. He wants autoconnet to my router using port 9000, but the web interface I get then does nothing. Also when I enable the mediaserver configuration linksys website, he created a mediaserver in windows network, wth pilots twonk. But I can't change that.

When I test the ftp server, I had access to the hard drive without any problem. This suggests that it is not a compatibility problem.

I could also map the Windows ftp server, but that does not work on my mediaplayer, I need for this network interface.

Does anyone have an idea of what I'm doing wrong and why windows is unable to connect to your hard drive?

I didn't install the new version of firmware, because the changelog mentions nothing about the functions of the USB or storage.

I've added a few photos with the settings, it could be useful.

THX in advance for any response.

    Map of old-school reader:

    1. Open the file Explorer or (right click computer and 'Map network drive')
    2. Click "Map network drive" in the top menu
    3. Choose the drive letter
    4. Enter "\\192.168.1.1\" or "\\192.168.1.1\your-share-name".
    5. Add identifying information if access to the secure folder is enabled "Admin" and password
  • Windows 7 and bios sees not the hard drive, but when I connect the hard drive to the USB with an adapter, I see directories and files

    Please, I need pc

Original title: windows 7 and bios does not see the hard drive. but when I connect the hard drive to the USB with an adapter, I see directories and files... Ive a hp Pavilion, what to do?

Check the BIOS for hard drive setting.

Make sure that you do not connect the drive to a SATA/RAID port.

Old IDE drives - check the jumper on the drive (use "Cable Select" as a starting point), the BIOS must also be set in legacy/compatibility/IDE mode. Note: If you currently use the AHCI mode, then switch to IDE mode may cause Windows to boot.

  • Connect to airport extreme USB hard drive

I have a drive external hard Iomega LDHD-UP that I want to connect to my Airport Extreme (running the 7.6.4)... version but I can't seem to do.)

Currently, the airport is set up as a bridge to my Verizon Fios router.  It all works very well.

  • Office Pavilion - 400-540hk: unable to retrieve files from the old desktop USB HARD drive

My old desktop (model: CQ4128HK) can be power on. So I bought a new desktop computer (model: Pavilion Office 400 540HK). I have a lot of important files in my old office, so I bought a SATA-USB enclosure and connect my old hard drive to the new office. However, after connecting the old HARD drive, I can't find my files or windows folders; Instead, I see that a single drive with folders named "Backup-xXXx" or "WindowImageBackup".  Please suggest how to recover my files on the old HARD drive. They are very important. Thank you.

    Hello

Please try this first: bring the box (old HDD) and connect it to a machine not HP to see how it goes. I remember I have one similar problem in another day; reason: the old HDD still has a "signature" as a boot device.

  • External USB hard drives lose its connection and work stoppages. __

External USB hard drives lose its connection and work stoppages.      History

    Windows 7 Ultimate - 64-bit
I installed it on a HP Pavilion, OS, 64-bit, and I have this problem.
People report that it does not occur with Windows 7 32 bit OS.

    Problem:
Any brand of external hard drive USB (and other USB devices sometimes) lose its connection and stops working only when copying large files internal drive to external USB drives.
The USB device may appear to work properly when Windows first starts, but later stops working (crashes computer) after the start of large files to copy. You must restart Windows for the USB is working again.
This only occurs when you copy files large files to THE USB port, not on the internal drive. It happened when I synicing my IPhone with Itunes when it started the synchronization of music files.

According to the suggestions I have:
    1) updated the BIOS from the websites of the manufacturers.
    (2) power management disabled on the USB hub for disks
    (3) ensure that the BIOS for Legacy USB is set to.  I don't have this option in the BIOS settings.
    (4) this is not a motherboard problem, it is located on three different MB that we use.
Also tried three different USB drives and different cables.

Because I tested with two different computers updated and USB drives, our opinion is that this problem indicates that the Windows 7 64-bit operating system.

    Someone knows a solution?

    Thanks for the reply.

Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the USB controller drivers?

If so, have you installed latest drivers from the motherboard chipset?

Follow the steps below and check if it works:

1 download the drivers for external hard drive from the following link and check.

    http://www.Samsung.com/us/support/downloads

    2. click on the link to the HP Web site below to download the latest drivers. Search for drivers related to USB / external peripheral.

    3. If you have a third party security/firewall software installed, you need to change settings or disable it temporarily.

NOTE: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software / update, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the
Internet or network so that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • Cannot see the USB hard drive?

    Hello

I created a new XP Pro VM environment and everything seems great so far, however, one of my devices is an external USB hard drive (this is where lies the VMX file).

Yet I do not see it as a connected device, it is not in the list of devices to be tied down to the machine virtual host?

Why am I unable to see this device USB of the XP Guest VM and how to make it visible?

    Thank you

    1DMF

    1. NOT to assign a USB device to the virtual computer - at least, do NOT attempt to use the disk USB us talk

2 instead of this, make sure that you configure network between the host and guest

    3. create Windows shares on USB drive

    4. access to this sharing of the Interior of the guest

This will result in the host beeing the only system that accesses the USB directly - which is the only safe way to do
