  Hello

  I have recently installed windows 8.1 on my Dell Inspiron 7520.

  After the upgrade, the switchable GPU do not work, and many applications have a different (and fuzzy) resolution compared to the rest of the screen. All Dell video drivers (even drivers for windows 8.1) do not resolve the problem.

  I solved the switchable GPU problem, install the latest drivers video, taken directly from sites Web Intel and AMD:

  -for the Intel HD 4000: pilot 10.18.10.3277, 8 - 19.2013

  -for the AMD Radeon 7730: pilot 14.501.1003.0, 20/11/2014.

  This is the only combination of drivers that works (I tried many...) but the fuzzy applications issue is still unresolved. Look at the picture in the link below (the resolution of the screen is correct, while the words in the window are blurred).

  and try the suggestion in paragraph "use Windows 8 DPI scaling (is usually not recommended)" to change the direction of the CIO from the "improved" "Windows 8.1" way, to the "Windows 8" way. " I had to do this on my E5540.

  Basically, you need to manually specify a % (ie: 125%, as you did in win8) rather than use the novelty of the rule of the "Windows 8.1.

  Hi, my laptop Dell Inspiron N5110 is now 3 years old. I recently had a hard drive fail, then replaced by a new. Now the machine does not start. I have a boot disk in the DVD player that swirls, but gets no further. I get also is no longer the screen Dell displays (before the windows one). In fact, everything is empty. I tried to remove the power supply by battery pack and power holding down the button for 1 minute then re - again no difference. Is there anything else I can do or is the death machine?

  Bought Dell Inspiron 3542 Core i3 4th Gen Mobile a few days back. With Windows 8 and when tried to update to 8.1, screen becomes flat and once again I have to reset.   I created a partition of my Dell Inspiron 3537 & when I tried to reboot it is not commissioning. Only a Dell logo is displayed and an error message appears on a blue screen.
