  I upgraded my Windows PC 8.1 to Windows 10.  Since the upgrade of the touchscreen / screen rotation functions are no longer available or work.

  I noticed that the touchscreen HID device is not installed and I think the same for the rotation of the screen.

  Installation / upgrade didn't / Dopes not recognize that the device is a touch screen and model when checking windows itself declares there is no stylus or touch input available for this view?

  I remember a similar problem with the upgrade of Windows 8 to 8.1.  Can anyone suggest how the features of screen rotation and touch screen can be restored?  He was under the rpevious windows version?

  Loaded the latest drivers from HP today and the problem seems to be resolved.  Operation of toch screen is back.  Screen rotation is back.  Thank you HP.

  I have a gateway ZX6971 all-in-one touchscreen. I recently downloaded the preview release of windows 8 and I can't find anyway to get my touch screen features working again. Is there a way to fix this? I have tried reintalling the card reader driver and try to open some programs touch in functionality mode. Is there any back what can I do to make my touch screen? It worked fine in Windows 7. Any help or advice would be great! Thank you!

  This problem can be a display driver problem. I checked the Web site of the bridge for drivers available for the ZX6971 and there is no drivers Windows 8. Use the webmaster link here to see when or if the drivers will be available to the Windows 8 media on your computer.

  Time to time, especially after you update from windows session, touch screen did not react after the restart of a tablet.

  The title, I always reinstalled drivers, restarted Tablet and problem was absent.

  In Device Manager, all devices have sxwitched off the coast of the energy saving function.

  Blackout in touchscreen means well enough that you have to come back to fix it. The cable is loose or it is broken. :-(

• Using touch screen for Gateway ZX4800 AIO

  I aquried a Gateway of AIO ZX4800 computer model for my granddaughter. She lives with us and was born in acondiplasa (drawfisium). She is now 10 years old and quite at the school, but her hands are tiny. This computer was given to me by a sister and brother-n-law because it had stopped working and Best Buy technicians said the motherboard was fried. This proved not to be true, I diagostied is it just a bad screen, I just received and installed. The computer works fine, but I'm led to believe by info on the internet, that it is a touch screen computer. I have yet to understand how to get the part of the touch screen to work by touch. Does anyone have any info on this subject?

  I have a Dell Studio 1749. It came with Vista which I've upgraded to Windows 7. I have since deleted the hard drive and installed Windows 8 from scratch, but the touch screen no longer works.   Dell has only tested and validated Touch for Vista and 7 on this model. We do not know what or where you can find the applicable chipset and touch drivers for 8/8.1. You should ask users on general portable hardware Board for ideas on this company not supported.

  This solution does not work for me because I don't have the option "Use your finger as input device."

  Go to the sounds and then hardware and Control Panel.

  Select the Pen and Touch and go to the contact tab.

  At the top is "Use your finger as input device."  Uncheck the box.

  Click apply and then click OK.

  Hi, I have a HP TouchSmart 320-1030, so it can work on your TouchSmart:

  1. Press Windows + X logo.
  2. Select Device Manager from the list.
  3. Click on the small arrow next to Interface devices to expand the list.
  4. Click the touchscreen driver (in my case, Voltron NextWindow touch screen).
  5. Right click and select disable from the list.
  6. Click Yes in the dialog box that asks you if you are sure you want to disable the touch screen driver.

  When you want your touchscreen to work again, follow the above procedure, EXCEPT when right-clicking on the touch screen driver, select enable.

• Jet 7 Tablet 5709: HP Jet 7 touch screen does not work in Windows even if it works in the BIOS menu advanced starup

  Less than two months ago, I upgraded my HP Jet Windows 7 to 10. Over time some questions popped up (random apps that could not be opened, etc.) so I decided to do a full reset, deleting the files from the user. Once the 'install' process is complete he brought me to the initial configuration for Windows 10 screen, asking me my keyboard and language preference. He would not accept any contact entry. I rebooted it and he went to the advanced configuration where I could use the touch screen to do a complete reset. That has not changed anything. I found the info on the HP website and did a reset of the BIOS. That has not changed anything. I got an OTG cable, but was not able to get a keyboard work. I did, however, get a mouse works and has managed to create a new user and login. However, the touchscreen does not work in Windows. I was able to get into the settings and looked at the Device Manager settings. There was only a mouse driver listed under Human Interface. I also noticed a number of question marks in the subtopic of the processor drivers.

  I was able to use the OTG cable to try to re - install Windows 10 from a USB key. When a similar initial settings (language, keyboard) screen broke, I couldn't use the touchscreen. Later, I created a USB with Windows 8.1 thinking he might have a better chance. The same problem. He does not touch inputs. And with a key USB installed via the OTG cable, I can't launch a mouse at the same time.

  It is strange that I have not the problem in the BIOS or advanced startup options. It seems that there is a corruption somewhere, but how do I fix?

  Even as Dr. Joe... I also upgraded Windows 10 lost touch screen and camera. I returned to Windows 8.1 and I still haven't get touch screen. I seem to have lost my drivers HID Touch Screen as well.

  Anyone have any ideas on how to restore touch screen drivers? I can't find them in the download section of driver Toshiba after hours of research.
