Our team works at the request of BB, which is oriented to a wide range of supported devices. It should support devices with OS version 4.2 - 5.0. We decided to use the v4.2 OS APIs. Then our application would be supported by all devices. It was a successful until recent times. Problems arose when we started to use navigationMovement() function to handle events of movement. This function works very well on devices with a trackball and it does not work on touch screens. On touchscreens, we should replace touchEvent() function.

    When we added touchEvent function to our project, then the project could not be started on devices with OS< v4.7="" (error="" starting="" application:="" class="" 'net.rim.device.api.ui.touchevent'="" not="" found).="" so="" i="" think="" we="" should="" split="" our="" project="" in="" two="" branches:="" the="" first="" will="" support ="" touch="" screens="" and="" the="" second="" one="" will="" not.="" there="" will="" be="" two="" shortcomings="" in="" this="">

2 instead of this a binary, we will have two binary. But it is easier to have a binary that works on all desired platforms.

So please give me an advice how should we update our project to make it work on touch and non-touch screen devices.

I would like to ask your help along this vein as well.  I have a Dell Inspiron 17 7000 series that I bought in October 2013.  Windows 8 was preinstalled.  An update in spring 2014 caused my touch screen to stop working.  I haven't used my computer a lot and didn't know that the touch screen did not work until August.  I contacted service in September for several reasons 1.) computer would not awaken from its slumber 2.) 3 touchscreen does not.) Sometimes the system stops not 'stuck' to black screen and turned on the keyboard and I have to do a hard reboot and after updating my bios, nothing has been resolved.  A technician came out twice, once the replacement of the screen as a whole, the frame around my keyboard and bottom unit 'transport' for the drive and the motherboard.  He worked for a day and present other problems including not start after the dell logo screen.  The tech came out and replaced my motherboard, this solved the problem of replacement of chassis post but the touch screen still does not work and I have to have the computer on awake all the time because he didn't wake up again if she goes to sleep although I have since had the question of the judgment.  I did a diagnosis using Dell's online tool and all systems pass but do not test the touch screen.  Please let me know how to message you express number.  Thanks in advance for your help

  • Replace a non touch screen with a touchscreen

I have an acer aspire M3 581 T-6405 ultrabook series, but my screen is broken. Can I replace it with a touch screen for an Acer Aspire M5-583P-6428? If the touch screen works as a touchscreen or not is immaterial, I want to just be able to use my laptop.

    No, the M3 - 581T's 15.6 "and the M5 - 583P 16".

  • design for the touch screen only

Is it possible to design and apply a suitable for touch-screen devices bb 10? I don't want to create my application for non - touch screen devices is possible or would he rejected for the restoration doesn't not for resolution of 720 x 720?

You can certainly, if you're just a question in general.

If you also want to get the certification built for BlackBerry, however, you at some point will have to update the application to add support for screen 720 x 720 and possibly other unique features for phones with keyboard. (At least, if the application is not one that would be useless on the small screen for a reason any.)

Details on when that might be is not yet known. I think that the terms and Conditions of the BFB program talk about how long you will need to submit the update, etc, if that's what you're talking about.

  • (Redirected) Studio 1749 touch screen not working do not after Windows not supported 8.1 upgrade

I have a Dell Studio 1749. It came with Vista which I've upgraded to Windows 7. I have since deleted the hard drive and installed Windows 8 from scratch, but the touch screen no longer works. I tried to install several recommended drivers before but they fail to install. I can send you the serial number if you need it.

    Thank you

    ScoobyDumDum!

Dell has only tested and validated Touch for Vista and 7 on this model. We do not know what or where you can find the applicable chipset and touch drivers for 8/8.1. You should ask users on general portable hardware Board for ideas on this company not supported.

  • (Redirected) Touch screen upgrade e6420

Hi, I'm new to the forum so please, be gentle. I have a Dell e6420 i7 nvidia4200 and an evo pro 1 TB samsung. I bought a whole new screen touch LG HD and installed, the image is much better, but I'm having a real difficult time getting the touch at work! What I did to get the correct driver I sent a message to a seller on eBay who sells a model touch screen and asked them the serial number in the hope that I could get the drivers from dell Web site, but... When I try to install it says that it cannot install because my laptop is not x 86, I managed to get the human interface, through administrative tools/services, but there is no option to boot the usb interface? Do I need a new Ribbon for the screen (the one that supports the touch) or all Ribbons are the same? does anyone know of a work around please? I would be eternally grateful.

PS I am happy to give a 'finders fee' if anyone can find me the right driver or information to make it work

    Thank you in advance.

  • Touch screen on the iPhone issues 5 after SW upgrade 9.3.2

    Hello

I have an iPhone 5 that I bought just two years ago. The phone worked perfectly despite the fully loaded with applications, images and music. About two weeks ago, I upgraded the software to 9.3.2. Just after that, the touch screen started to work intermittently. When I managed to unlock, it will take seconds of use of the phone before that the touch screen no longer works again. I have to press the button several times until the touch screen comes back to life (only for a short period of time). It's totally unbearable. I can't yet answer phone
    calls.

I contacted the technical support and all they got me to trying: restart the phone, restore it via iTunes for a backup, give it a new phone... and the problem is always the same. I've updated then 9.3.3 and same thing. I was informed by the technical support that this could be due to a problem with my hardware only made visible by a heavier operating system. Well, it's just not possible. It is not possible that my phone with applications 0 is unable to deal just with the operating system while running smoothly with the phone completely full before the upgrade.

Someone faced the same question? If so, did you solve it? Thank you

    He Jeinser,

Thanks for checking out the communities Support from Apple! I understand that you are having problems with the response of the touch screen on your iPhone. I can understand who want to ensure that you are able to use your iPhone, the way that you expect.

You have already completed all the steps that I would normally recommend to solve a problem with your touchscreen, including restoring the iPhone and set up as a new device. From the information provided, it seems that your iPhone needs to be repaired. The following link should help you get started with the process and has links with additional information on topics such as the warranty and pricing of the service, replacing the battery and express alternative service.

  • Upgrading Toshiba PX30t to win 10 - HID touch screen problem

    Hi all

im not an avid touch screen user... I rarely use when necessary or when the batteries in the mouse dies in the middle of my work and I have to continue with the screen.

When I bought my PC it was win8 and everything worked fine... until yesterday and after about 2-3 months because I upgraded to win10, I realized that the touchscreen does not work!

I looked at the forum for all tracks on this issues and I have seen that many complain of being unusable after upgrade win10 function keys. However I don't have this problem. that the screen has got the contact rendered useless item.
probably, during the win10 update the system decided to disable this feature, so no accidental contact on the screen could interrupt the upgrade process...

If anyone is aware of this problem and how to fix it... I would be really grateful.

    Thank you

  • Major problem with the touch screen after upgrade Windows 10

I bought a Lenovo Yoga 3 14 "a few weeks ago and upgraded to Windows 10 as soon as I got it.

Since I started using it, the touchscreen will be occaisionally go "crazy". Crazy is the best way I can describe it because it will start input touch by ignoring or doing his own random touch input on the screen. Nothing the laptop will start to switch between windows and opening and closing of the things.

This laptop is not running Windows 8.1 long enough for me to know if she has had this problem before the upgrade.

    Any ideas?

  • Help! -Acer Aspire all-in-one touch screen after upgrade Windows 8 Pro

    Hi all!

This is a rather confusing questions and about * me off no end!  I know that some of you may have encountered this already and could have a potential solution?

I have an Acer Aspire all-in-one, AZ5101 (Aspire Z5101), with 4 GB of RAM, etc..

Since the Developer Preview of Windows 8 came out, I've been running Windows 8 perfectly.  I completely uninstalled (each time itself) and run the following:

    Windows 8 Developer Preview, 64-bit

Windows 8 Preview of consumer, 64-bit

    Windows 8 Preview, 64-bit version

In any case, on this PC worked perfectly - y INCLUSIVE of the TOUCH SCREEN.  I never had a problem.

So far so good.  Then, they finally released updates Windows 8 Pro official licensed by download.  I bought the upgrade and downloaded.  Just like in * ALL * other cases, upgrade, I chose "keep nothing" of the old system (I never really got all the important data on here), and do the upgrade itself.

After the upgrade was complete, and ALL Windows 8 Pro updates have been applied by Windows update, I have a system where the screen is clear and precise, everything works, and all devices in Device Manager, show the Greens well, it works fine - NO ERRORS.  HOWEVER - NO CONTACT!  No touch no screen function at all.  The screen now has this time as a standard monitor.

I tried the driver Idéacom - no luck.  Anyone know (please? LOL) how to get the touch screen to work again?  Thank you very much!  I really appreciate any help you can give.  Microsoft technical support had NO idea and no reply emails from Acer! Laughing out loud

    Thanks again,

    Mike

  • Touch screen not working not not after upgrade from 8.1 to win

I have a PC HP Envy product number X 2 C2K61UA #ABA now Win 8.1 32 bit running. After the upgrade is installed, the screen no longer meets a contact. On the other hand, the touchpad works.

    Masters,

    Welcome to the HP Forum.

I just went through this process on my own want of X 2 and the touch screen is OK after the upgrade.

Something that I've done that maybe makes the difference: I have day all driver sets for Windows 8.1 before the upgrade.  Pilots have been out for awhile; the drivers for the 8.1 are also compatible with Windows 8 update was possible before installing the Windows 8.1 operating system.

I had also stripped most of my personal computer programs: I refresh the system using a customized several months back Image, which included only a relatively bare installation and installation of Microsoft Office standard packages.  I left installed HP SimplePass (I use a device of fingerprinter USB with this computer) and my photo editing software that has been designed for Windows 7 which was SO painful to install that I decided to take the risk of letting up.   Those who survived.

The stripped upgrade Firefox and Chrome (no biggie), Flash, Kindle, various programs and the old OneDrive files the installer for Windows 8 and a couple of obsolete Broadcom drivers.

    • If you not already have, update all your drivers from the website of media from your computer.  You can always reinstall the drivers - if they have already been installed, you can select "Yes to all" and reinstall / reload the packages during the installation.  Restart the computer after installation.
    • You must run also immediately the Windows updates to 8.1 after the upgrade - there is not zillions of updates, but there are several critical fixes that you do not want to get on the system.

    Changes

Content deleted from here about RemovedApps - it was not correct for this context.

    • If you find that the question is one of the 'lost files', structure pilot, lost 'something' - lost-at so you can get in C:\Windows.old offending data / missing.  You have 28 days from the date of the upgrade.  I'm not sure of the type of 'time bomb' built into the data - you might be able to actually prevent lost data by copying to an external drive if you really want to keep.

    I hope this helps.

  • Touch screen problem Dell Inspiron 13 7368

A month back, I bought a dell inspiron 13 7368. The touch screen of the last three days works randomly. Were not able to understand the problem. My friend who bought the same laptop is also faced with a similar problem. I tried the update drivers and also updated the bios but still no help. Diagnosis indicates that the unit is working, but the screen is inadmissible. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi, I had similar, but just put problems to update my firmware from the dell website and his works now... something about a Fw_calibration update... don't know if... you can try to update your firmware and see if it works... good luck... nb just did and it worked for me so not yet tested how it will be for a long time, however...
