Reduce the size of the video

How can I reduce a video KB 3.54, to send it as an attachment in an e-mail?  When I tried the message says it is great!

I don't really know what size it should be.

Wow - a video of 272 MB and you want to make small enough to send via e-mail...

You will have to deal with your e-mail server/service and the maximum file size attachment that they will allow.  You will have to deal with servers/services of intermediate messaging as well as their limits as your file made its way to the intended recipients.  You will have to deal with the final or the recipients mail servers/services and their limits as your file arrives.

A better discussion about this can be found here:
http://www.Outlook-apps.com/maximum-email-size/

... and although the limits are no longer necessarily accurate, gives you a sense of reality.

Given all that, probably you should reduce this file of two hundred and sixty - two megabytes (272 MB) to about ten to twenty-five megabytes (10 to 25 MB) - a reduction of at least 91%.  The quality that would be lost to this reduction is ridiculous.  ;-)

Better you use something like OneDrive or Google or Google Reader + or an array of other freebies web sharing...  Of course, what you use will depend on greatly which explains that you have online and/or which accounts you want to create.  ;-)

What I'm saying is: it is better NOT to reduce these things in most cases, share them * being *.  Of course - there are dozens of ways likely to reduce the size of this video-based video codecs today, resolution, etc. - but without this information too - is somewhat a shot in the water and there would be a loss of quality to the level that you need to reduce these things in order to guarantee delivery by e-mail directly.  ;-)

  • How to reduce the video to fit on a DVD?

I have a video that is about 3 hours long and will not fit on a single DVD.  I tried to reduce the size of the file (7.3 GB above) by reducing the time line, but this does not seem to have any effect.  I went up to reduce the time line for nothing and the systemstill told me that I had 7.3 GB, which exceeds the size of the DVD.  What should I do?

    Welcome to the forum.

If the reduction of the duration of the timeline does not have an effect, and it should definitely, you have certainly a "orphan" on beynond where you think that is the end of the timeline. See this ARTICLE to track down the orphan.

For your options to burn a chronology of long duration (once orphans are gone) on DVD, you can manage only two ways:

    You can set a duration which fits on a DVD-9 (~ 8GB)

You can use the WAB (work area bar) for the export/share 1/2 of your Timeline to DV - AVI. Next, create two DV SD projects and import one of these two files into it. Author with Menus, etc., to the need and burn, then repeat as DV - AVI output of process with the other file.

    Hello

What the name of your laptop - Satellite L20 - xxx?
And what graphics card did you use? Intel or ATI?

But I do not understand why you want to decrease the memory.
If the graphics card memory so it will take the main memory.
But if the graphics card does not need additional memory so it will not share.
It all depends on the applications that are running on the operating system.

  • How can I reduce the size of the video file?

I have a WMV (4.6 MB) file that has a bad soundtrack. I started a new project in creation and placed the MP4 file, split the audio track and to solve problems with his hearing.

Then I opened the file in Media encode (2014) and I tried many arrangements to export the file to MP4, AVI or WMV. My exported WMV is 40 MB. MP4 is 108 MB. AVI has been beyond 1 GB.

I tried to reduce the rate of 10 frames per second. I used different presets of 720 p HD. No matter what I do, the smaller file, I was able to create is 10 times the size of the original.

    Clearly, I'm doing something wrong.

I know a fair amount about audio, but very little about the video. After several hours of searching online resources, I just more questions.

Is there a Media Encoder for Dummies section?

    Thank you.

    Sorry, Bitrate.

Set the frame rate to the original and change the target and maximum bitrate to something between 1 and 2 (depending on the desired quality. Also change the Distance of keyframe 3 x to 5 x your cadence.

  • Trim video to reduce the size

I have a great video to go pro in iphoto. I want to set to decrease the size of the video. How to do this?

You haven't, really. Prune in iPhoto is lossless.

Export from iPhoto to the Finder:

-> Export the file, and then set the type to the Original in the export dialog.

Once in the Finder, you can make the changes you want.

  • How to automatically let the video is reduced when the browser changes size

    Hello

    I use a file f4v with size 1200 x 720 and I could download a version of 1920 x 1080.

You can see it in action on www.etmotionpictures.com

I want movie scaling (bottom) automatically in the browser.

So when I resize the browserwindow and refresh the page, I thought that the film could be resized to the new size of the browser window, but it didn't do it.

Maybe I misunderstood what scalemode = mailbox done.

Either way, I used to generate the code and then paste it into an html file.

    Here is the code:

I realized that he might have something to do with the fact that the width and height are added in the setting and in the beginning when the object is declared. What I need to change this so that the video to scale automatically.

    Thanks for any help.

    I really appreciate it!

    Kind regards

    GOSA

PS: Sorry for my English, but I'm not a native English speaker. Thank you for your understanding.

    Hi Gosa,

If you want your reader to resize when resizing window of browser you must write javascript for this code. BTW, you better use swfobject lib to seal the drive, instead of the simple html code that you pasted here. Otherwise, it will be difficult to correctly handle the width of the DOM object.

Strobe Media Playback will be the mailbox of the video to the size that you specify in the embed code.

  • How to reduce the size of the records Quicktime file?

A big thank you to you all, good people.

I don't see that you can export out of other than QT. MOV

but you can use an external converter

While it is mainly used to convert video files to DVD it will also convert video files.

I have XP.  If I need to reduce the size of clips in mpg for electronic mail, Movie Maker is the way to go, or is there a better way?

    =============================================
Movie Maker has problems of compatibility with MPG files.
The files must be converted to the. WMV
    format before importing.

The problem is... when Movie Maker compresses a
video file for email... the video resolution (quality)
    may suffer severely.

I suggest an alternative to conversion and
compression would be to download the. MPG as it should
a site like SendSpace. Then send the download link
to your recipients and they can copy the file to their
Office and visualize it in the best quality.

    "SendSpace.
    http://www.sendspace.com/

It's very simple on SendSpace site the following...
the steps are all you need to do.

On the left, click on the Browse button and it will open a window
allows you to access the files on your hard drive.

Navigate to the folder your videos are in, and select one.

On the left, click on the download button.

Wait for the file to download...

When the download link appears... left click copy
button. (this will copy the link in your Windows Clipboard)

Paste the link in an e-mail message to your recipients.

When the recipient goes on the site.

There are several download buttons but ignore them
and scroll down slightly and left click the "blue": text

    > "Click here to start the download from sendspace.

Save the file to the desktop.

Double left click the video file to view in Windows Media Player.

  • Compression to reduce the size of the file

    Hello world

I'm trying to shrink a video file of 14 GB to 4 GB so I can download directly to a web site.  My current project settings is the reflex digital 1920 x 1080 and I export in general to a .mp4 1920 x 1080 p 30.  (which generates a 14 GB file)   So my theory was to try to downsizing at 720 p which hopefully reduce the file size enough, but still maintain a HD setting. So here's what I'm curious to hear from the experts on this forum.  Is this a good strategy?  In the section sharing 720 p setting should I choose?  (none of these options for shpws 720 p 30 fps so I'm guesing I'll have to change that to 60 images per second?) And finally, what degree of quality woud expect I would lose the downsizing of 1080 p 720 p?

Thanks for your time and your input!

    adobenewbie123

I have not found anything to support

Is it possible that 720 p mp4 aren't supposed to be read to 29.97 FPS?

On the contrary, for example, if you look

    Publish + share

    Computer

    AVCHD

    with Presets = Vimeo HD

Note the default value with the width of the frame = 1280, Frame Height = 720, Frame Rate = 29.97 progressive frames per second

And this export with AVCHD video compression has a .mp4 file extension.

  • How to reduce the size of the virtual disks on Fusion 3.1.2 my W7 64 bit

A few months ago, I created a DVD install a virtual machine in Windows 7 64-bit 120 GB. I never checked the disk space until a couple of weeks and now I have two hard files over 160GB with a .vmwarevm. I have never created all the files component snap so I am confused how it happened and how to fix this?  After all, a MacBook Pro's as much disk space

OK it looks like the Virtual Machine on which you have is "/ users/dbaps/Virtual Machines.localized/Springer31.vmwarevm" and it is only using the Springer31.vmdk virtual hard disk that is in the Document Virtual Machine Package, so I can't tell you where both .vhd files of ~ 165GB come so you'll have to deal with this on your own.  You have Parallels installed at a certain time or do you have them created with Windows 7?

If you have VMware Tools installed and no snapshots you can use VMware Tools in the OS invited to shrink the virtual hard drive and it should reduce the size of that Windows Explorer shows how much is used.

Also, you have assigned 4 CPU cores of the Virtual Machine and over the commitment of the processor cores will slow things down so I would attribute no more then two and that you set for 1/2 of RAM to the Virtual Machine host and this of course uses more then what you have assigned, some for the purpose of merger of VMware and some video RAM so you use really ~4.4GB of RAM just for VMware Fusion and the Virtual Machine.

  • How can I reduce the size of my folio still more?

I'm working on a pretty heavy dps - his 21 pages long has a sequence of images on the cover page and 15 videos.  I have reduced all videos less than 20 MB, but the entire publication is always a huge 1288 MB.

    The questions are:

How can I reduce the sizes of folio still more? Should I lose some videos? Link to some via Youtube?

    and

Middle East Mo 1288 of big is accepted as a document size?

    Really too big, IMO.

Stream videos or disseminate at least some of them to get this thing

    less than 500 MB.

  • Reduce the size of a .mp4 file

I have a 5-7 minute training video series I provided on YouTube and to download. The videos include footage in any audio live and image overlay. I did not put in place video effects or major transitions, other than "chained."

I export to mp4/H.264 codec, bitrate size reducers and the framework (although I understand that this shouldn't matter as well), but I always end up with 250-300 MB files. While I am able to download on YouTube, I'm not able to provide these files to download because they are seen as too big.

My question is if there are additional actions, that I can take to provide a reduced file size. I can't find a consistent answer as to what the size of my file should be for these short videos.

I go back to school to learn more about the video soon, but this is obviously not a sufficient response to a client.

No indication on this matter is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you, in advance!

250 MB seems very reasonable for 5-7 minutes of full HD 1080 p.

With a variable bitrate H264, an important part of the size of the file depends on the dynamics of the video. So if the video has a lot of movement of the camera, move items from background (ie. stir the leaves in a tree), scene changes, quick cuts, shaky camera and grainy footage it will increase the size of the file. For example, shooting a scene on a tripod vs Pocket could give you a much smaller file. This happens because H264 (like most mpeg encoders) using information from the frames/pixels neighbors during the process of encoding... and the more information changes, the more bits is needed.

in any case, try a really low bitrate as 2 5 average 5 average 8 max for 1080 p and 720 p max. Then check to see if she still looks good visually (without obvious compression artifacts).

Personally, I use a x 264 based encoder H264 as hand brake (which is free) value constant quality 23.
