  We create a worm 11.1.1.3 Hyperion Planning application classic than doesn´t need the Dimension of time periods (Jan, Feb, Mar... etc). It is a requirement of 100% business, because is not financial planning, more like a long term by years of project planning.
  
  Periods of time is a dimension of basis in planning h., so I can´t the delete, but I can try to use it again. Does anyone has concerns abour reuse? What are your recommendations?

  Yes you are right, you cannot delete it, but you can use its members BegBalance and use it as POV in all of your forms, and you can also hide so that it does not appear on the form.

  It seems that I can't connect to the planning your application, however, I checked host, port, user and password and it seems that they are correct.

  You certainly need to use port 11333, and you should make sure that the 'Hyperion RMI Registry' service is running.

  I have problem with the import of metadata in my planning application (11.1.3), I tried the sample file of ads.
  The import is successful, but it fails to deploy
  The error message says formulas is not valid, I tried to change the formulas and it says invalid formulas. (but the same formulas that I copied in Essbase outline with no errors)
  
  I've removed all the formulae contained in the formula column in the metadata file example, it worked fine
  
  It will be O K if I copy the formulas manually in the Essbase outline?
  
  Guys, share your ideas means if someone have similar questions.

  Hello

  It is possible to enter formulas directly in essbase, but you must use a HSP_UDF UDA because this preserves the formula when you refresh the intention of essbase.
  Although this route should not really need to be taken, it should be possible to conclude the EPMA formula and validate.

  It is a great topic and probably cannot be treated in a single post. You talk not only planning app performance, but also the performance of Essbase database.

  Order of evaluation is not really a performance setting. It determines how the data is displayed in a form. For example, if you have an account that is set as a percentage and a scenario which defines itself as a currency, which one wins? The cell is displayed as a percentage or a currency? This is determined by order of evaluation.

  Performance parameters (order of the sketch) can have a big impact on the performance of calculation and recovery. It's the hourglass to which you refer.

• Integrity problem: metadata in the planning your Application disappeared

  We run EMP planning c. 11.1.1.0.112 on a Linux x 86 using Oracle Server version 9.2.0.7 operating system in a development environment. Thursday of last week, we noticed that while we might draw the outline of metadata of the application corresponding to our planning application Essbase it came with no data even if several sets of sample data were loaded in the planning application. It was also noted that the accounts in the two test applications matched even if they have been attached to two data sources different and two different applications. This is also true for web forms created in both applications. It would have had major differences. On Monday of this week, we encountered an error when editing metadata (accounts) the error encountered is 'you try to change the data that has been changed by a user on another server. Wait a few seconds and try again. If you continue to see this error message, please contact your administrator. "There is no other users on the application at this time. The Oracle DBA and I determined that it may have been a 'Hung' process and decided to 'bounce' planning. After that, we lost all the metadata in two test applications. We were able to see the metadata on EAS, but does not intend and could find tables associated with applications and forms in Oracle data space with metadata. What we are asking is how can I re - connect with the planning application metadata and why metadata from three different applications are shared when it is not configured to be shared?

  Hello

  Databases will not be created until you have created until you refresh to essbase of in planning, you are not at this stage. Only an essbase application will be created.

  What I suggest do you, is remove the essbase application. Then run planning in the start menu and not as a service, this means that you will get the error messages displayed in the window.
  Then try and make creating application again and see what errors are produced.

• How to load data into the planning your application through FDMEE of Multicurrecny?

  I am new to FDMEE, I got hit with the loading of data, here's my problem,

  My application is the application of multicurrency with USD as the currency of presentation and a few more currencies like GBP, etc. INR currency basis to individual entities. The requirement is to load real historical data in application of planning in local currencies and in USD.

  I have a data file for USD. However, I have several files for local currencies, all data files will be in the same format. When I tried to load with the configuration under configuration of integration in location of given functional currency as USD and the data value as USD , but still only "Local" data loading, when I checked the recovery of data in Smart mode by keeping the dimension currency in Page and selecting USD, it shows no data , but if I choose Local it retrieves data!  Is it possible to load data from both local USD currency?

  Any help on this is much appreciated, thanks in advance.

  Y at - it a problem if I create an application of planning with 3 types of plan, but I'm only using 1 type of plan at the present time? I'll only be load data in plan of maintenance of the 1.purpose 2 and 3 for future use, it has no negative impact on the application?

  Yes, that wont impact the addition of all dimensions.

  And it will start an impact once the data is loaded, and just to clarify the three plan types are different databases, so we're not interdependent else that does no impact on performance.

• Is there a way to quickly check that your application uses the latest software?

  Basically what the subject says:

  Is there a way to quickly check that the last api/software uses your application without having to go through all of your classes and check manually.

  For example if I had an app that used just a 'Interface Transport' (from API 4.0) and a 'border' (from the API 4.6), he said that the latest version of the software that I use is 4.6.

  Probably not as fast as you want, but you could just wrap it up against different JREs and see where it gives you an error.

  We talked about this several times. Unfortunately at this stage we have no concrete plans in place. If you want to run an application without head or service, your best bet is native.

• Removal of the blocks #Missing in Hyperion, planning an Application

  We have implemented a Hyperion Planning budgeting application. It has 3 types of plan.

  for one of the 3 types of plans, the aggregation rules takes a long time, even if we have not given, again, we just enter some data for the test.

  What we found that, in Essbase there around 31,000,000 blocks have been created! most of them are missing blocks. some of the trade rules have the command createnonmissingblk on... This could be the reason for the blocks 31,000,000!

  My question is: How can I get rid of these blocks, taking into account the fact that I don't like if I lost data? And should I take a backup before performing a setting?

  After you run the VACUUM CLEARBLOCK, you do a restructuring on the database to get physically back space, in your case it should be very fast, because there are few data in the cube.
