Region of the column in a report
Request Express 3.1.0I have a region of report that is displayed on a page with 3 columns. The middle column will be the longest and I want to go to this column. I've read other posts on the forum about it, though, it doesn't seem to work.
Also is it possible to truncate the display of the output to the user? The column is a varchar2 (4000) and if all the information is filled, the display on the screen would not look professional.
Hello
Access from this column should be ok, if you were to build the link here as well - replace the second #comments # with:
<a href="f?p=&APP_ID.:1:&SESSION.::::P1_ITEMNAME:#LINKFIELD#">#comments#</a>
1 = page number creates a branch to
P1_ITEMNAME = the item on this page to pass a value in
#LINKFIELD # = column in this report that contains the value to pass

Calling a process from a link to the column in a report
Apex 4.2
I have a classic report which has links to the column. I can't call a process when you click on these links. I want to insert a record into the table when you click on this link. So I have a process for updating the database
{code}
DECLARE
l
_vc_arr2 APEX_COLLECTION_GLOBAL. VC_ARR2;
BEGIN
-apex_application.g_print_success_message: = ' sector selection: ' | : P122_SECTOR_SELECTION;
l_vc_arr2: = APEX_UTIL. STRING_TO_TABLE(:P122_SECTOR_SELECTION);
FOR z IN 1.l_vc_arr2.count LOOP
-apex_application.g_print_success_message: = 'TEST2 ';
-htp.p (l_vc_arr2 (z);
insert into ISECTOR_PHASE1_ACTIVATION
(PHASE_1_ACTIVATION_DATE, INSPECTION_SECTOR_ID, HIGH_WATER_EVENT_ID)
values (: P122_ACTIVATION_DATE.l_vc_arr2 (z),: P0_HIGH_WATER_EVENT_ID);
END LOOP;
END;
{code}
The report query is:
{code}
Select...
......
.......
-case when current_activation_status = 'Not active' then
"< a href =" f? p = & APP_ID.:122: & SESSION. Phase 1: "> click here < /a > '"
Another null
go to link,
....
{code}
Phase 1 is the name of the process. I think there may be an error in how I build the link. I build the query link, because there will be other cases that determine what process will run. That is when current_activation_status = 'active' and then '< a different link and process > '.
So I figure that if I can do it in a "if - then" clause of an instruction box, so I can change it to accommodate several "if-then" clauses in the case statement.
Also, should ASK = phase 1 in the status of the process?
Thanks in advance. Let me know if you need more information.
Just to clarify, by using a link + a request and do not put the page is a perfectly legitimate solution to this problem.
If the above code is in the region of report source query you need not use the notation #COLUMN #. You can concatenate the string together. also, I made sure to escape from your simple tics. the clause is only to create a dummy sample put to test against
with TEST_DATA as( select 'NOT ACTIVATED' CURRENT_ACTIVATION_STATUS , 1 INSPECTION_SECTOR_ID from DUAL union all select 'ACTIVATED', 2 from DUAL union all select 'ACTIVATED', 3 from DUAL union all select 'NOT ACTIVATED', 4 from DUAL ) select case when current_activation_status = 'NOT ACTIVATED' then 'Activate' else NULL end as link from test_data
Good luck

View the columns in your report based on the command prompt
Hello gurus,
I have a report (pivot View) with the following dimensions and facts
1 country (Dimension)
2. the dealer group (Dimension)
3. name (Dimension) of the region from the sale of parts
4. parts name (Dimension) sales representative
5 dealer account (Dimension)
6 heart FY purchases (Fact)
7. purchases of fiscal Prv (Fact)
8% change (Fact)
I have all the dimensions of filters (as guest)
The requirement is now
When I select the country from the prompt and click on go. the report is expected to show only dealer group and measures 3.
When I choose the dealer group from the prompt and press go. the report should appears with the name of parts sales region and the corresponsing measures
So I intend to use the command prompt to display the columns according to me
from now my report shows the entire column irrespective of what I select in the command prompt. (such as the report displays all my dimensions and facts). I should be able to restrict the column in the reprot based on what the user, select the prompt for
Is this possible?
Appreciate your thoughts.

How to specify the width of the column for classic report in 5 Apex?
5 apex, I click on the name of the report in tabular form and then go to the tab report attributes. When you look at the attributes column, there is a list of the database columns that are included in the report. One of the attributes is the column width. Regardless of the value, as I type, the column widths do not change when you view the results of the report.
For a particular column of data in the report, which is editable, this is show only about 20 characters and I want to show him perhaps 50 characters. It would be great if it would also wrap up the value of a new line when the size of the data is too large to fit in the allotted space.
I guess that it is a simple setting and I looking in the wrong place.
Help, please.
Thank you
Kim
Hi Kim
Bakhtiyar post is the correct answer. However, there are occasions where does not display the width option in the attributes Panel. that was the position that I assumed you are in. It depends on how the form of tables was created. If it was created using the wizard, no problem. If the form has been created manually (IE without using the Wizard), and then depending on the model used, the width option does not appear. The only way we found it is to recreate the form (using the Wizard). Or use the css above.
I hope that your form displays the width option.

Change in color of the column headings in reports
Hi friends,
We have a page with a lot of reports.
We would like to change all color of column headers in report in red as follows,
page css inline (cloudy Thema)
table.uReport > thead > tr > th { color: Red; make-weight: bold; do-family: 'Times New Roman'; do-size: 14pt! important ;}}
but it does not work for color, (font family and size works correctly!)

This is because you need to replace every CSS property separately.
Add this to your Page Inline CSS:
table.uReport>thead>tr>th { color :red !important; font-weight:bold !important; font-family:'Times New Roman' !important; font-size: 14pt !important; }
I hope this helps!

color of the column for multiple reports
Hello
I created a page with several classic reports. Each report has a pass called "Total". I would just pass Total in all the reports of colors.
I added the html header
< style type = "text/css" >
#one td [header = "Total"]
{color: blue ;}}
< / style >
I have different static IDs for all reports. for this I must repeat as below
< style type = "text/css" >
#one td [header = "Total"]
{color: blue ;}}
#two td [header = "Total"]
{color: blue ;}}
....
< / style >
Is there another way to achieve this goal of 20 reports at the same time?
Thank you
KJ

Hi, AEC,.
I use Apex 4.2.5 in Oracle 11 g.
I tried without the static ID, now the color does not appear in the data in the column. It's "TOTAL". Sorry I typed below.
The only reason why I can think of for that do not work, it is that the color of the column is defined by a pre-existing rule of theme with a specificity that is higher than the attribute selector. Try
td[header="TOTAL"] { color: blue !important; }

Limit the width of the columns in a report
Hi all
How we limit the column width in a classic report. I tried to give values for "Width of the element", which does not take effect.
Thanks in advance
Thank you and best regards,
Vikas KrishnaVikas,
There are two ways to do this, a here. Details of the column and add the following line to the Style CSS attribute:
display:block;width:300px;

is this possible?
or how is this possible?

MarkusHi Markus,.
I made a request for the PRICE of the APEX ORACLE in Germany this year with exactly this feature in it.
Here is the link http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=25500:1
Connection with a connection name: comments and password: apexuser
On the first page, you can see IR go on the Details button and you get routed to another page. You will find what you need in action. You can also download this sample application: http://www.oracle-apex-award.de/TIA-Technische-Infrastruktur.70.0.htmlUnfortunately, the application is in German. I hope you understand.
HOWTO:
Go to report attributes > column attributes and change the values for:
Link text: < img src = "" #WORKSPACE_IMAGES #tmp_user_delete.png "alt ="delete contact"> / / for the photo"
Target: URL
URL: JAVASCRIPT:CONFIRMDELETEGET(HTMLDB_DELETE_MESSAGE,'F?) P = & APP_ID.: 8: & SESSION.: P8_ACTION_DELETE: #ID #');Go to the Page change, and change the HTML header:
< script language = "JavaScript" type = "text/javascript" >
htmldb_delete_message = "'DELETE_CONFIRM_MSG" ";
function confirmDeleteGET (msg, url) {}
var confDel = msg;
confDel = confirm ("do this action you want to delete?");
If (confDel == true) {redirect (url) ;}}< /script >
Now add a process before header
Under source:
Start
delete the files where id =: P8_ACTION_DELETE;
commit;
: P8_ACTION_DELETE: = ";
end;Under conditional processing
Type: PL/SQL Expression
Expression1: P8_ACTION_DELETE IS NOT NULLGreetings,

Please help me with Sql Report.
Either use the same CSS approach by adding a static region ID in the report area and adding the style sheet in the header HTML page:
