• Registration my Photoshop CS2 problems

  I have owned different versions of Photoshop over the years, and the latest version I have is CS2.

  I installed it on two computers, one running Windows XP and other Windows Vista.

  Apparently, Adobe has me under two pieces of identification, both using the same email address, but with different physical addresses, my old and my new.   Apparently, all my registration information are stored under that with the old address, but I can't get access to that with the new address when I go to the Adobe Web site.   That it is not my records.

  For these past years, I worked mainly on Linux using gimp, but I just got a new printer, which is not supported under Linux, so I have to use Windows and Photoshop to print.

  Whenever I start Photoshop CS2 on the second computer, it tells me I need to sign up.  If I do - unnecessary I guess - it accepts recording, but then the next time I start the program, it does the same thing again.

  I can live with that, but if there is a simple way to fix, I want to do.  I have spent a lot of time talking on the phone to Adobe or using chat online, but don't have any help about it.

  Also, I hope to make a few changes to my system in the near future.    First of all, I will improve probably both computers to Windows 7.  Second, I can replace one of the computers with a new computer.  Finally, I can upgrade to Photoshop CS5.

  Can someone give me advice on how to go about these things so you end up with two legitimate versions of Photoshop on two computers and to avoid problems...    I'm worried that I might have to spend hours on the phone trying to make.

  Registration is different from activation. Since you already registered

  CS2 with adobe, even if on an another computer, no need to do it again.

  Try right click on the shortcut of cs2 and choose Run as administrator

  and then if you get the registration screen, select the option skip

  or never register option.

  Then quite cs2 and restart your computer and see if that makes a difference.

  I was the cause of the breakdowns and have solved the problem; but have not quite yet fully understood the nature of the underlying cause.  I don't know that it had something to do with a combination of permissions and compatibility modes. In any case, I ran the registration process again in a process of trial and error combinations and was finally able to launch Photoshop without the registration window which pops up again. I am being harassed is more when I start the program and I am now it works normally on Windows 7. I intend to run a little more testing to see if I can resolve the issue a little more. Thanks for the help, much appreciated.

  On further testing, I decided that if I run the program in compatibility mode earlier it then allow me to properly register the program. I can then return the program for Windows 7 compatibility mode for normal use.

  You won't be able to re - install using the discs and the number of series that you used initially, but we have a solution.

  The activation for more server CS2 is no longer in service. For this reason, we did a version of these titles of software available that doesn't require activation.   I have a Satellite M40X-183. I tried to install Photoshop CS2 and it installs everything but the help files and I wait for hours complete the installation, but it is not. Before it took me a long time to set up but once I updated my toshiba software he showed some changes and installed more quickly but still stuck using the part files. It seems to install but it does not actually install anything this either fight the help files and I install Photoshop CS2 on my desktop from the cd, it works very well.

  I have similar problems with some other proggrams running.

  It's really not easy to say what can be the problem. You will be very happy if someone has exactly the same problem and can give you some explanations. I have installed and tested a lot of different software on my Tecra and up to now, everything works fine.

  Problem is that Toshiba is not responsible for the non-Toshiba software and if no one can help you try to contact Adobe support.

  Sorry, but I don't see any other solution.

  the first person is correct. CS2 is not free, but it is slightly more complicated. Until the product Adobe Creative cloud needed activation. Adobe closed the server who has activated the CS2 which means that owners could not reinstall. As a gesture of goodwill the company has created a modified version of CS2 that doesn't require activation, just a generic serial number and this is the version which is downloadable. The web page with it on makes it clear that you must own existing CS2 or earlier to download it, but they do not have checks in place to prevent anyone on the web to download for free. For this reason, various reputable sites gave the URLS, and have probably downloaded it thousands of owners not Photoshop. I've never heard of someone at - he continued, but then its not exactly going to make the first page of the time if they did. From a legal point of view its probably illegal, but Adobe framework would difficult to win a trial. What they have done is in the real world is equivalent to having a candy store and leaves the door wide open during the night and then waiting for anyone to enter and take chocolate.
