  This is right. The controls buttons Toshiba Launches the Windows media player or other applications like IE once Windows has finished loading.

  You're right about the Win7 drivers. On the support page of Toshiba Europe, you will not find any driver for Win7. At the moment you can find drivers on Toshiba beta support page under http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_sc_modSel.jsp

  You can try to find the similar model of laptop that your and install the proposed pilots.
  As you know Win7 is not on the market, but when Microsoft release Toshiba will start support Win7 and for all laptops, the drivers will be available.

  I just got a new battery for my laptop. I plugged it in and it turns on ok and works ok on battery power, however... the battery meter in the taskbar is not recognizing the new battery.

  I get the error message "Battery not detected" when battery attached and AC plugged in, and I get "Remaining unknown" when just on battery and removed AC.

  If I understand correctly you don t use an original Toshiba battery more. Well, this could be the reason for your problem.

  What's the battery old Toshiba, original properly recognized by Windows? If so the case is clear: you should buy a Toshiba original battery! ;)

  If you cannot start your laptop with AC power only (battery removed) that there must be serious hardware problem.
