  Hey there,

  has recently obtained an Equium A300 and opening windows, you will need to enter your product key, or else just get limited functions. Found on the bottom of the laptop, but the warning keeps coming up 'the key is incorrect. I checked several times and spruced up in upper/lower case, added the dashes... and now.

  The product was preinstalled by the shop, what do I do, I don t want to lose the features!

  Sorry, but you have misunderstood something. For the pre-installed operating system Windows Vista you don't need registration. You need registration if you want to use Microsoft OFFICE trial version.

  If please connect your laptop to the Internet and start it. Just follow the instructions on the screen and you will be able to use this limited trial version. If you like it, you must purchase a valid license.

  Why you need the product ID? Do you mean the serial key?
  Preinstalled Toshiba image contains the Vista operating system and what operating system is already activated.

  You n t need the serial key for nothing that all updates should work fine also.

  Save changes in BIOS and start again.

  If the plastic hinges are broken, then only a full keyboard replacement could help you.
  The replacement of keyboard is not very difficult
  The keyboard can be ordered from the ASP in your country.

  As I m he's not cheating s fixed by two screws that are hidden under the cover of thin plastic above the F1 - F12 buttons.
  If you remove these screws, you could easily get out the keyboard.

  But note; the keyboard is connected to the motherboard with the cable. So be careful!

  Finally, I must say that if you would do this so only at your own risk!

  My laptop is a TOSHIBA Satellite A300 - 16 c RM-70 and was purchased in September ' 08, he was used regularly until July 2010, when it turned off and won't start.

  If you cannot start your laptop with AC power only (battery removed) that there must be serious hardware problem. When the laptop is placed on the bed of ventilation at the bottom is blocked and portable cannot be cooled properly so I think your laptop was probably overheated and lead was suddenly shut down.

  I have a similar problem. I have laptop Toshiba Satellite A300 - 15 c.

  Until recently, the multimedia keys worked fine. I have assigned an exe file to the second to the left key and been happy to use the power button lights and the dimmer.exe, but a few days ago the drive key stopped turning lights and acts rather as a key to turn off/turn on the sound. I checked the SCT and the key is always associated with the dimmer.exe. I even tried to associate the key with another function, but it remains just mutes / restores the sound the sound. You have an idea as to what could cause this problem and how can I solve this problem?

  And no, apart from updates to Vista randomly I have not installed anything new since before the key drive started acting weird...

  As Garrett says you have to remove the old version first, restart, clean the system and then install the most recent drivers.

  This means that you have used the Toshiba Recovery disk?
  Have you created a Toshiba recovery disc at the beginning?

  I think that if you didn't use the recovery disc, then the question refers to the missing part of the driver or software

  But Satellite A300-08WB is not known to me what model number of the laptop is it?

  Hi, I have a Satellite L450D-11V which is only about 3 months, but left under the touchpad button has just broken. It has lost its spring and sank down in the case, so it is now off. Still, it works but not very well and clearly needs repair.

  My question is is it useful to open the case to see if something has slipped? The manual does not cover this, but it seems that it can be opened by removing the screws from the case under. My only concern is that I don't want to move something then not be able to re - assemble! A House would be obviously preferable to ship from Toshiba and be without it for a week.

  This is typical warranty issue and even thinking laptop open on your own.
  At first you do not have manuals maintenance with an exact description of how to do this and this action may void the warranty.

  Contact service, explain the situation and ask how long they need for repair.

  the left button of the mouse on my laptop has broken pysically.
