  Adding to what James said, this is true for Lightroom and Photoshop. In other words, do not necessarily install previous versions, but all by installing the latest versions, in this case 5 Lightroom and PS CS6, you key in series for previous versions as well with the current criteria.

  Click link listed here if already have the product key of Windows 8. You don't have to buy Windows 8 again. The instructions in the link will allow to install Windows 8.

  I suggest create you a support if you have it if you need to reinstall. Also keep a copy of your product key in a safe place where you can access it again.

  You can install the lr more late 5.7.1 rather than 5.6 and update.
