  I had a crash on my laptop (macbook) with graphics issues (after a relocation complete, I had to change my video card. "It was the source of the problem).

  I could not just turn off the previous version of Lightroom.

  I also use Lightroom on a PC. Thus, both versions have been enabled.

  Now, after a new reinstall of Mac OS and a new reinstall Lightroom, when it starts, a popup asking me to disable a version.

  How can I deactivate the old version of MAC (I want to continue to use Lightroom on PC)?

  Actually the downloaded file there was no extension at all.  That's why the question open with...? kept coming.  I changed the file name to add the .exe extension, and then the installation took place without further problems.

  This redemption code that you had should have served to purchase a serial number.  The serial number is what you will need in order to get a new facility enabled.    If you do not turn off before you uninstalled then you contact Adobe technical support and ask them to reset your activations.

  Not to worry.   I have just remebered that LR5 is installed on my laptop, where I found the numbers in the preferences folder.  Thanks for the help.

  This seems to be a problem with this catalogue.

  Launch of Lightroom with the command button and choose the option to create a new catalog

  If you are able to create a new catalog, then go to file menu > import from another catalog > choose your main catalog to import data from.

  Or, you can search for a recent catalog backup and verify if you are able to open that.
