Reinstalling windows 7 proffesional (uk student offer)

I bought and installed the version of teacher of windows 7 which was offered tho UK students last year and I was really happy with it, unfortunately, I had to wipe to wipe the drive two weeks because of a virus.  The virus is gone and everything works except that I can't validate windows error after that validation simply tells me that the code is not valid.  I have improved the installation of windows xp, this means that I have to reinstall xp then 7 or I have to buy another copy of windows?

Any help would be most appreciated.

Well im just next to the phone with technicians and the only thing they can think is that I format my pc again and install xp and then upgrade to 7.  Not going to be fun because it's the best part of a day's work.  Not a great solution, but one nevertheless.

In the future, what I suggest you do is back up your activated copy of Windows 7 on a hard drive external. So when you need to reinstall Windows 7, just restore the active picture. It exempts the need to activate the product.

  • HP Pavilion 17-e119wm: reinstall Windows 10 operating system after replacing the hard drive

Hello, I bought a laptop HP Pavilion year last for work or school. He perfectly managed until yesterday when it was freezing to close unexpectedly. Waited about half an hour to see if it would work himself, I had several programs running at the same time. With no results, I did a hard shut down and left for about two hours. Trying to turn it back on, I was stuck on the HP Home screen for almost an hour. I turned off the and tried again. Sometimes I would be stuck on the startup screen, and sometimes he would show that he was about to auto repair, then the screen turns off. In addition, the recovery menu of the system through the F11 key did not work, so I did a Quick Test of system and received a short Drive DST hard failure.

I plan to buy a replacement HGST 5 K 1000 1 TB hard Drive from the manufacturer; However, my warranty expired last month, and I'm not sure how to reinstall the OS (installed with Windows 8.1 then upgraded to Windows 10 factory), once the new hard drive in place.

I've never done a HP system recovery Image, and I'm low on funds, so I'm not able to contact HP directly. Help, please. I am a student and I work from home, so I am at a loss without my system.

If you want to reinstall Windows 10, then this is the part the more easy and free.  I understand, completed after the upgrade to Windows 10, then you can clean install Windows 10 site M$.

On a work computer, go to the WINDOWS 10 DOWNLOAD, scroll down to the purple 'Download tool now 64 Bit' click that to let do its thing.  On the next screen, choose 'Create the installation media for another PC', then what kind of media you want to use DVD or USB flash.  Once created, install Windows 10 on the PC in question - when everything that fact it is activated.

  • Reinstalling Windows XP without CD

    Hello

I have Windows XP Home edition on my laptop. I think it came to the time where I want to reinstall windows to return some performances! However, as with many computers nowadays, my laptop not came with an installation CD, or any instructions on how to create a CD master.

Is it in any case, other than purchases of new CD or borrow from someone else I don't know anyone else who has it, I can use the files on my laptop (I read somewhere about using the winnt32.exe file in the I386 folder on my drive C :) to completely reinstall windows?

This is a legitimate copy of Windows, I was simply not provided with an installation CD, and I have my serial number for my copy of windows.

I'm not a beginner when it comes to computers, but I'm an expert any! I have already backed up all my personal files, and I'm sure I'll be able to find the drivers I need on the web, so I'm not particularly worried about that (as long as I can connect to the web later!).

    Someone at - it ideas?

    Thanking you in advance.

    Hello

As far as I know Toshiba has offered two laptops of various Satellite Pro L10. One with Intel Celeron M (Dothan) and other with Pentium M (Centrino) processor. The two laptops are delivered with Toshiba CD recovery facilities.

Two of them are delivered with Windows XP Professional (always installed on the Satellite Pro). So after reading your ad, I assume that you do not have the pre-installed operating system factory settings. I'm really confused how you can have the home of Windows XP Home edition. Maybe you bought this laptop that used a.

You are right about the drivers. All the drivers, tools and utilities, you can find and download from Toshiba support page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > download & support.

To be honest, the best solution for you will be buying the CD of original WXP facilities. You shouldn't buy a new. On eBay you will find already used CD cheap enough facilities.
Anyway, you can try to use winnt32.exe. The I386 folder must be placed on the second partition. the laptop must be started in MS-DOS mode using some boot floppy disks, or you must create bootable CDs.

All this can be complicated for you, but you can try it. The key to Windows XP Home edition in the lower corner belongs to the original recovery image and I don't think that you can do if you have Windows XP Home home. Sorry, but it may not be the image of origin for this laptop.

  • Damaged HARD disk, need to reinstall windows... but I had installed the Vista upgrade 7!

    Hello

A few months ago, my computer (HP Pavilion a6700f) decided that he no longer wanted to live. The hard drive is corrupted and I could never get anything from him. I tried many ways, sent him, put it in another computer... it is as if there is never nothing about it initially. (Sad because I stupidly did not save my content). I have come to terms with her being gone, and I'm now looking to reinstall and start over.

I tried to run the install disc and it won't go to the point where she wants to give me drivers... my question is, because I had updated the computer to its original operating system Vista to Windows 7 when they offered the free update, I have to reinstall windows Vista, and then upgrade again? Or it will allow me to install drivers windows 7? Also, is there somewhere where I can download the installation for my specific computer disks? I used the upgrade disk to reinstall, but he wants than signed drivers.

I know that sounds a little crazy, but I want to fix it than to buy a new HARD drive. I have my windows for Vista key... Although I don't know if there was another key for the upgrade to Windows 7, as on the package or something... like I did that more.

I hope this makes sense to someone! Thanks in advance!

As you have no recovery disk, you will have to order them from service to HP customers in your country if they are still available for a nominal charge:

    http://welcome.HP.com/country/W1/en/support.html

If you decide to replace the hard drive, to have one that is not less than 500 GB SATA 7200 RPM like the one you have now.

  • Reinstall Windows 8.1 on the W3-810 Iconia

    Hello

I have some problems with my Acer Iconia W3 running Windows 8.1 retail. A malfunction of many functions of Windows. The Download Center Office gives weird and Windows errors tells me that my Microsoft account must be verified. I want to reinstall Windows 8.1 without the recovery partition, because I think that the Acer crap cause malfunction of the connection and the problems of SkyDrive. I am experienced in computer SCIENCE and I know what I'll do. I've already updated my UEFI version 1.07 (latest).

I intend to install Windows Enterprise 8.1 with a USB key. But I have never done this on a tablet before. Are there things I should know about? I mean the differences between installation 8.1 of Windows on an ordinary pc and Acer Iconia W3-810?

Another option is to reinstall Windows 8.1 kernel by using the function "All delete and reinstall Windows" in combination with the original DVD of Windows 8.1 retail x 86. I need the DVD because the function uses the files on the DVD to reinstall Windows 8.1.

I prefer the Windows Enterprise 8.1 option. Or do I have to use the recovery partition to revert to Windows 8 and upgrade to Windows 8.1?

Whatever you think I should do? My current installation does not work for me either.

    Managed relocation!

It was not very difficult. Also, you need a USB mouse but the touchscreen does not work when installing.

    Here are the steps:

    1. create a bootable USB drive that is compatible with the UEFI GPT partition table. You can do this by using the tool Rufus.

2 turn on the Tablet and when the Acer logo appears, press .

    3. use the mouse to access the start menu tab and adjust the boot sequence by moving the USB drive to the first entry.

    4. save the changes and the Tablet starts from the USB key.

    5. wait a few minutes to complete the USB boot.

    6. install Windows as you do on an ordinary pc. CAUTION: DO NOT DELETE THE PARTITION ON THE SSD! Only, you must format the Windows partition and select this partition to install Windows. DO NOT REMOVE OR EDIT OTHER PARTITIONS! They are necessary for recovery and UEFI support.

7 activate Windows with your license.

8 install the drivers to download them from the support site. For the current drivers, click here (February 11, 2014): click on! Unzip the file that is stored in the zip file. Install all the drivers at the same time by running the installation file. Restart the tablet to make the changes take effect. Give the tablet a few minutes to restart.

9 install updates you that Windows Update offers.

    Fact!

My tablet now works like a charm! I won 6 GB of free space. I have 16 GB of free space now instead of 10 GB(32 GB version). The Tablet is also much faster and it reacts much more quickly! Bedbugs have also disappeared.

    My problem is solved!

  • Can I reinstall Windows 7 without a disc?

I had problems with my computer and I had to reinstall Windows.  The computer works fine now, but the problem is that I had a Windows Vista disk (the computer was shipped with Vista).  However, shortly after I bought my laptop, I've upgraded to Windows 7 (student edition or something like that) but I did via the internet; I never had a disc.  So when I reinstalled Windows, I reinstalled Vista.  I want to know is there a way for me to reinstall or "reupgrade" from my computer to Windows 7 without disc.

  • Reinstall WIndows 7 Windows Vista original

I have a laptop Dell Inspiron 1545 that I replaced a failing hard drive. I came originally with Windows Vista, but the owner did a upgrade of Windows 7.

I reinstalled Windows Vista original, up to Service Pack 2.  I need to upgrade to Windows 7 and I don't have the disk to upgrade to Windows 7, OR activation key code. What are my options?

Because Windows 7 is in limited stock because Microsoft ended sales in October 2013, this created demand due to its rarity. This means the retail boxed copies request a bonus, while the OEM System Builder copies remain affordable.

You can find software OEM System Builder of dozens of online merchants. The current price for OEM Windows 7 Professional Newegg, for example, is $ 140. When I checked a few minutes ago, Amazon offered packages OEM Windows 7 Professional from several vendors at prices ranging from $ 101 to $ 150. When I checked earlier, a package specifically designed for reconditioned PCs cost only $ 50 for a 64-bit copy.

There is no technical limitation to prevent you from using OEM software on your computer, although this software only works for a clean install, not an upgrade. In the past, Microsoft has been remarkably inconsistent in his advice to clients on the question of whether this practice is allowed. (See "is allowed to use Windows OEM on your own PC? Don't ask Microsoft. »)
