    In my planning application, I can't get the report function of the task list to show me the State of each task of the user list, when I set up this user to a Shared Services group. The problem is that supply us groups to the access list of task and not users directly.     You must set "" permission to run on each of the Microsoft Office programs (word.exe, excel.exe, powerpnt.exe, etc.) such that the group 'Administrators' and the SYSTEM is allowed to run.  To do this, you do a right click on the .exe file, select 'Properties', then click on the 'Security' tab and change security as you wish.

    If you do not have a 'Security' tab, then it is because you have XP Home Edition, or if you have XP Pro with active Simple file sharing.  For XP Home, you must boot mode safe (repeatedly tap F8 at startup key) and login as an administrator to access this tab.  For XP Pro, follow the instructions in the following article:

    Click the account icon that was locked and enter the password IF you know and otherwise:

    Try Safe Mode - several times, press F8 that you start. The Admin account there is no default password
    so unless someone has changed, you should have access there. Then Control Panel - accounts - users
    Manage another account - use this down your user account (to the lowest level) APPLY/OK
    then go back and reset it to the Admin APPLY/OK - this clearly allows corruption. Do this several times.
    Then fix the password in your usual account. Do not forget to leave your account administrator if you
    wish.

    If no joy Mode without failure:

    Try this - use the hidden administrator account to lower your user account (to the lowest level) APPLY/OK
    then go back and reset it to the Admin APPLY/OK - this clearly allows corruption. Do this several times.
    Then fix the password in your usual account. Do not forget to leave your account administrator if you
    wish.

    Make another Admin account with your password and use it to fix the others if necessary. (just for
    repair, don't use regular account, not a safety valve) always keep a spare ADMIN account.

    DO NOT LEAVE THE ENABLED LSA OR USE DAILY. If it corrupts you are toast!

    If they stay admin users, nothing you can do other than encryption technically.  And if they go poking around and either don't know what they do (or do and are cruel) while they could spoil encrypted files you have and your ability to access them once again (unless you are wise enough to save the external encryption key).

    All you have to do is enter and change their user accounts to Plains old standard users instead of administrators (account type).  They will no longer be able to go anywhere on the computer, they will not be able to install things - the scale of the system and it is possible that some things might stop working for them depending on how some programs installed.

    If it were me - I create two administrative accounts, password protect and remove all others of the Administrators group.  No one should use the computer every day as an administrator.  (Why two?  In case one becomes corrupt or something else happens).

    Make sure that ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID you can connect locally to instantiate with:

    sqlplus / as sysdba

    Do not enter: "idle instance."

    Once this is done, if you need to change ORACLE_HOME (maybe end remove "/"), restart the listener.
