  Thanks for posting in the communities of Apple Support. I see that your recommended phone temporarily remove 4 apps to make room for the upgrade and they are now stuck "on hold". I understand how it is important to get these apps working again. I'll be happy to help you.

  In general, tapping the app will start to download. If it doesn't work we can remove them manually. Here are the instructions.

  1. open settings and tap general.

  2. tap on the storage and use of iCloud

  3. tap on "Manage storage" in the first section of storage.

  4. find the three applications waiting, tap them and press 'delete the application '.

  5 re - download the app on the App Store

  As there is no way to disable the applications on an iPhone, I'm not quite clear what is your problem.

  Unless the applications are made for both systems and sold specifically for them, you can't use an application iOS on an iMac or vice versa.

  When you press and hold an icon, possibly the icons will all squirm.  This is when the "X" appears next to the icon - but it will appear next to the icon that you have permission to delete.  You cannot remove, for example, the applications that are included with iOS 9, such as stocks or weather conditions.
