It is difficult to determine exactly what causes this error without knowing what application is the cause. Since AIR is just a moment of execution, by itself is not the cause of the problem. I think I'll try a few things.

BlackBerry ceased support for Adobe AIR with their last update of the OS and any application that you have on your device that uses Adobe AIR (many of them on BlackBerry World) would stop working as a result. My security settings can be a little more strick than most. I just downloaded the adobe air installation package today. I think that the revoked signature prevents the installation. Can someone confirm the signature? Thank you.

What is the equivalent of Adobe Air to CoreData iOS?

I used CoreData on iOS and love it. Can someone tell me what is the mobile equivalent of CoreData's Adobe Air?
I use EncryptedLocalStore to store the user's preferences, but it uses iOS keychain and causes data to persist on the device iOS via an app removal & install. This is no good, since I'm store preferences that is a little more appropriate for the use of the keyring. AND I want the app data deleted off the unit once the application is deleted/uninstalled.
Any ideas?

Shared local objects if you want to have your prefs in the form of key/value pairs. or by using E4X with readObject and writeObject file API if you want to have your prefs in XML format.

I'm sorry that you run into problems installing with AIR. Microsoft has just released a new utility that can help to resolve installation problems. Would you mind giving it a try and let us know how it works for you? When you run the patch, go through the uninstall process and trying to remove Adobe AIR on your system. Once finished, download the latest version of AIR and install again.
