  My laptop came with a reader of fingerprints and of Authentec TrueSuite who has installed a plugin in firefox. I use the software for the windows basic authentication for a practical purpose but did not feel good to for use with my browser, and it seems a few questions that lead me to believe the best thing to do would be to remove the firefox plugin if possible. Only, I don't know how to do that because it doesn't seem to be an option to TrueSuite.

  The problem is in combination with an add-on that I regularly use called InstantFox. On the use of a defined shortcut in my address bar key, such as typing 'g' for google search, I'll see a strange box with information from the client browser (http://prntscr.com/4ghkhw). This problem has been resolved temporarily in an older version of firefox by disabling the plugin.

  However in the new versions of firefox, there is a known issue (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1005795) where this causes the address bar now has annoyingly indented text. But if it was the worst, I would be fine. In combination with the InstantFox module when I search 'g' also turns the address bar black (http://prntscr.com/4ghltw) which is almost as bad as see the consent mentioned the text behind the address in the address. In fact I don't know which is more discouraging, but it is really hard to do what is in the address bar.

  In each of these cases, the problem is persistent, they do not go away after I have navigate to another page or even another tab. They only disappear when the browser is closed. My OCD went badly enough to discourage me from using the utility, which has improved my workflow so much...

  Is there a way to firefox to manually remove a plug-in installed? Is there any other suggestions/ideas of how I could solve the problem? Maybe a freeware alternative to manage windows through fingerprint authentication?
