Removal of Windows Wireless Service
I got my Lenovo ThinkPad for more than two years and I am very satisfied with its integrated wireless connection manager. However, I recently upgraded my computer and suddenly to the Wireless Service Windows has been installed. I no longer have access to my network profiles. Disable the automatic configuration of WLAN in my list of Services turns off completely from my computer wireless radio.
No doubt, you will get a more targeted response from someone who is more fajiliar with software Lenovo ThinkPads and set-up.
A partial answer would be to put the computer back to how it was just before the update you mention.
Navigate to:
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\System
The system protection (see the Panel on the left)
(The press bar) system restore
Next
Choose a date just before the "update."
Note the check box to show more restore points.
--------------------
After the restore, make sure that the automatic update feature is configured to download updates, but allow you to check out them before installing.
==================================
That being said, I remember seeing a setting somewhere for you to choose to use management facility Lenovo wireless or Windows Setup. Could be confused with - it was a while that I've finally seen a Thinkpad.

I tried several fixes of different forums and nothing has worked. I ran the antivirus scans that have not found anything. Y at - it a fix for this problem?
Hello
1 have you checked the State of the wireless autoconfiguration WLAN service in the services window?
2. do you have any security software installed on the computer?
3. have you made changes on the computer recently?
We will first try to manually start the wireless service, i.e. the WLAN AutoConfig service. To do this, connect to the computer as an administrator.
1. Click Start, type services.msc and press to enter.
2. Locate the autoconfiguration WLAN service, double-click to open its properties window.
3. on the general tab, change the startup type to automatic and click on the Start button.
4. click on apply, then ok.
Try to connect to the wireless connection and check the result.
If the service still does not start, run the System File Checker tool to scan the computer for the corrupt system files and automatically correct. To run a sfc scan, try the steps mentioned in this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833
For more information on the wireless settings, see this link: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb878035.aspx

Wireless connection error - error 193:Oxc1 - Windows wireless service does not work
I have a Dell Studio XPS until yesterday worked fine. I plug in a memory (USB) card and that's when the problem occurred.
Today when I started, it connect to internet via WiFi. The map shows in Device Manager and are passed through controls to enable the automatic. Wired connection is not a problem that's just a very long Ethernet run and WiFi was better. I have other computers on the network, there is a problem with what I think is that the registry is corrupted. It seems that the Wireless LAN and audio are butting heads as the audio is displayed as an X when I try to fix the connection.
On the bottom bar on Windows 7, it shows a signal with an X on it. Help, please!

Hello
Please perform a clean boot mode, press Windows key + R on your keyboard and type services.msc. Access to services that are defined as disabled and edit them in the manual.
Restart your computer (stay in a clean boot) and return to services.msc. Do not open any other application or browser. Any device that is set to automatic, but it is not started, change its startup type to manual. Any application that is manual, but is started, the change automatically.
I also recommend that run you check disk, to check for any errors/bad hard disk sectors.

Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

You can download several at once however restart after the installation of each of them.
After watching the system manufacturer, you can check the manufacturer of the device an even newer version. (The
