Remove a photo from a collection - then automatically catalog.

Nobody knows: deleting a photo from a collection does not delete the photo from the catalogue.  My goal is to remove a collection and at the same time to get the photos to delete in the catalog of all the photographs.  Is this possible?  Is someone enlighten us on how this is possible? Thank you very much!

Hi HillaryQ,

Yes, you can remove photos from the collection, which is also removed from the catalog as well at the same time.

Select the Images from the Collection

Press Alt + Backspace (Windows)

Press Alt + Del (Mac)

It will be useful.

    Use the 'remove splat' Shift-Ctrl-Alt-Delete

You will be asked no confirmation. The files will be deleted immediately.

Simple way? I'm not aware of anything.

Complexes of convoluted way? Perhaps, but I've never tried, so I would be guessing.

  • I am able to remove a photo from my iPhone, but keep it in iCloud?

I recently started using iCloud to save photos and videos of my iPhone to help in freeing up space.  I then went to remove pictures/videos from my iPhone and I get a pop up message saying that the photos/videos all so deleted my iCloud storage.  Maybe I'm wrong understand using iCloud, but this seems pretty stupid to me.

Is it possible that I can remove a photo from my iPhone, but there were always stored in my iCloud account?

    Thank you

Free space on your iPhone, you must choose Optimize iPhone storage.  Unfortunately, iCloud was not designed in the way you thought and that means, and not as a backup storage.  To do this, you must choose an option of third parties such as Dropbox, Flickr and my personal Photos of Google favorite.  If you use one of these options, you can completely remove the pictures from your phone and free up your storage space.

How can I remove my photos from my iPhone while keeping in iCloud? because I'm running out of space on my iPhone.

I want to keep all my photos in iCloud. I want to remove some of them from my iPhone 4 (IOS 8) in order to free up space on my iPhone. How can I do this? Thanks for help.

With iCloud library enabled, you cannot delete a photo on a device (or iCloud.com) without deleting each device which uses iCloud photo library (iCloud.com). In order to save space on your mobile devices (and indeed your Mac if you want to) turn on the optimization of the pictures on these devices (settings > photos & camera > optimize storage on your mobile device and Photo preferences > optimize storage on your Mac)

Dynamic optimization, it reduces the resolution of your photos, if necessary, so that you don't notice it occurring initially. However, when necessary, it is very effective, and users have reported libraries being optimized for much less than 10% of their original size in some cases. My own library is about 9% of its original on my phone size.

How can I remove a photo from the album Selfies in iOS 9 Photos on the iPhone 6 s?

  • Cannot remove the Photos from the iPhone 6

    Hello!

Because of work commitments, I've been taking pictures to work with my phone over two or three years, but I no longer have that weight on my shoulders and I would like to get rid of 250-300 photos still on the phone but I seem to not be able to. None of these pictures, and their albums are still on my laptop; my main digital hub, so I can't do anything to this end (or can I?)

Whenever I find a professional album full of unwanted pictures, I select all but then it gives me the option of shipping them OR copy, duplicate, slide show or hide them. I want to do any of these actions. I want to just remove. Sometimes there is just a trash can at the bottom of the screen, but I can't select it. Apple just likes to taunt me, I guess.

    Any ideas? Thank you.

You synchronize these photos from a computer to your phone, or have they taken on the phone itself? If they have been synchronized, try a new sync from the computer to the phone with no selected photos.

  • How to remove synced photos from computer to phone?

I used to sync my photos to the folder 'Images' from my computer to my phone.  I now want it to stop because there are thousands of photos and they occupy too much space.  I unchecked the box for synchronize photos from my computer to my iPhone, told to remove the images and then sync my iPhone again.  The photos are still there and I don't have the option to delete them on my phone.  How can I get them out of my phone?

Create an empty folder on your computer and delete the Photos. It doesn't really matter what you name, but this will make it easy to find. Connect the phone to the computer, start iTunes, select your phone under the devices icon, then click the photos tab. In the Photos of the copy from drop-down menu, select the empty picture called delete Photos. Click on apply in the lower right of iTunes and let the phone synchronization.

See if that removes the photos.

Removing your phone will remove also iCloud, now that you have moved your photos here. Move photos from iCloud, then delete them.

  • remove my photos from the ipod

I have an old Ipod Nano that I give to someone.  How can I delete all the photos of this unit?  Thank you!

    Hey dafhfdhgfgh,

I understand that you want to remove photos from your iPod nano before giving it away. It's something I can help you with that.

The first thing to do is to connect your iPod to your computer and open iTunes. The next thing to do is to create a folder on your computer and then in iTunes, you will want to select this folder. Then it comes to synchronization and the photos will be deleted. Take a look at the first article below for more details.

Ideally, you want to restore your iPod before you give it away. This will also delete photos from your iPod but also a part of your content on it. The steps to do this are in the next section below.

  • How to remove the photos from the event?

My IMac says that the tax Turbo I download only readable and said that not enough volume, what should I do?

is the pictures I imported my camera take too much space? These photos to receive in the event and the Photos, so I need to delete the event, please tell me how to remove these pictures, thank you.

    You use iPhoto for Mac?

'Photos' and 'Events' are to show you the same pictures, but differently.  They are no duplicates, but only different ways to access the same pictures.

If you remove a photo of 'Events', it will be completely removed from your iPhoto library and the photo will be lost. The facts prove the pictures grouped by the import session, and 'Photos' show you the same photos as a continuous stream.

If you need to liberate storage, consider moving the iPhoto library on an external drive, to have more storage for your photos.

  • How to remove a photo from an album shared iCloud without remove it from the camera

    Hello

I use an iPhone with iOS 9.2.1 6s

I'm trying to remove some photos in an album of iCloud shared with my sister, but every time I clear a photo she it removes also of my camera.

I want to keep the image on my phone that I don't want the image in the shared folder over.

How can I remove the album image, but still keep it on my phone?

All I can think is that you're doing (or do not do, if any) something different from what you think you are. Photos in the camera are not the same as those in a shared album photos, they are 2 separate elements, a delete will not delete both.

Make sure the photo you want to delete is actually in a shared album and not the album photo streams, make sure of one) have a camera and b) is where you want the other image.

Some, while the rear I hung some pictures from one Collection to another Collection.

Later, I noticed that I had lost the ability to edit images moved.

Please explain how can I move photos between Collections without causing problems?

    Cliff

However, I can't figure out how to move photos from a private Collection to another more appropriate called Collection. I had thought that drag would do the trick. But I was wrong.

Well, I think it's the right way to do it. Why do you think it's wrong? What is going on? Describe in detail or show a screenshot. State of the edited, complete error messages, Word for Word.
