  Because Media Center uses the same library as WMP, I suggest that you try to reset the media library of WMP. Note firstly reset the library will make you lose all play counts and ratings too. Then, follow these steps:

  -Restart the PC.
  -Click Start, type services.msc in the search field and press ENTER. In Services, locate the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service. If its status is started, double-click on the service and click on stop.
  -Click Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft in the search field and press ENTER. This folder opens in Windows Explorer.
  -In this folder, delete the folder Media Player. If you do not see the folder, then it is probably hidden. Set Explorer to view the hidden files and folders and show protected system files.
  -Launch WMP, your library will have been reset and will be rebuilt. Check if the duplicates have been fixed.

  RIP my CD to wav files on an external drive that I can use to make compilations of disc or mp3, but if I put this drive to be Windows Media Player rip folder, it includes it in the library of almost anything.   Ripped files are automatically added to the Windows Media Player library. On the computer, the files are in the folder specified on the tab extract music from the Options dialog box. You can change the folder at any time, but it can not be removed from monitored by Windows Media Player.

  Make sure that the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service network service or Windows Media Connect does not work as follows:

  1. click on start and then click on run
  2. in the run box, type services.msc
  3. in Services, locate the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service or Windows Media Connect (WMC) and then verify that the status column is started
  4. double-click on the service and click on the Stop button, change the type to disabled startup
  5 restart the computer.

  To reactivate the function repeat the above process, by clicking on the Start button instead of the stop and change the type of startup to automatic.

  Now try to delete libraries.
