  When the address IP of one of my scans changed (because of failure), two lists of the scanner now appear as separate devices with the same name in the list of PSE9 WIA - one of them with the old obsolete IP address.  The same device is also listed with the new address and it works.  How do I remove the WIA listing with the old IP address?

  Only one entry per IP address for this HP printer/scanner appears in the list of printers in Windows 7. This list of WIA is therefore a remnant of the past. How can I get rid of him?

  Problem solved!

  I was able to remove the obsolete scanner by removing device drivers in the Manager of imaging devices.

  Additional information: the scanner in question has been installed by using a specific IP address because it was not otherwise discoverable on the network at the time of installation due to a firewall issue.  After a power failure, the router assigned a different IP address to this scanner, making the old IP unreachable.

  HP support was nonexistent, but probably would not have been useful because it is one of these problems of interface between the security software and scanner installation software.  Sigh...

  On the Notifications tab & icons, is there a way to get rid of obsolete icons and programs that collect there? You can access to this through Control Panel or by clicking the link to customize after clicking the arrow display icons hidden in the taskbar. I tried a few CPU temp programs that they are listed still here monitoring. If they cannot be deleted, then any program that is to want a time display in the taskbar will be there forever and list will grow and grow!

  Interesting.  The download at this link is a .reg file that makes the following changes:

  Fair enough, it removes the two values of a key.

  What is interesting, is that these values contain binary data streams, apparently encrypted.  Mine are more than 64 K bytes in size!  Foreign to the notion of normal registry operations...  So bad that same RegEdit is struggling with its small dialog to display all that data!

  Why is it not these data in a file instead?  No one listened when all these millions of people are complaining about bloating and demanding of periodical Vista reinstall?

  If you have a retail version of Windows 7, I believe you get two free calls.  If you have an OEM version, you are supposed to get help from your manufacturer.  MS provides a tax service.

  I think that it is a fairly simple thing to do, but I am a beginner in Illustrator. I am fairly comfortable in Photoshop, so I'll use Photoshop terminology to describe what I'm trying to do in Illustrator:

  Here's what I'm trying to do:

  • I have an object that is a single sheet. It is a vector object and it sits on its own layer.
  • I also have another object which is a perfect circle. This object is filled and it is on a separate layer.
  • I want to create a 'selection' in the shape of this worksheet object
  • I would then like to "expand" the selection of 20 pixels. The idea is to preserve the exact shape of the sheet selection, but make it bigger.
  • I would then like to place this selection of sheet on top of my circle object and remove the part of the circle which is covered by the expanded selection of sheet I created earlier.

  The idea here is to place my sheet on a circle object, but remove the part of the circle covered by the sheet, more than 20 pixels. Basically, I want to create the effect of my sheet through the circle and divide it into two objects of irregular shapes that fit perfectly on the sheet with about 20 pixels of space between the two.

  There may be a better way to create these split two pieces of a circle. Basically, I was working with Photoshop basics here. I discovered the "Knife" tool, but I want to remove the part of the circle exactly in the form of my sheet - only 20 pixel bigger. It seems that the knife tool is free form cutting.

  Select the sheet with the selection tool.

  If you want to keep the original sheet, duplicate sheet and in the transform Panel, enter + 20px after pruning.

  Probably you added this object on a previous slide and configured synchronization to run for the rest of the project. Or do you have a master page.

  I could start with 1 slide and see if it is there. If this is not the case, switch from one to two and forward until you see the slide where it appears.

  I am trying to load an object swfLoader on the scene and vimeo player (which I do with great success) and then delete them when I click on a button. I can remove it each separately, but when I put them in the same function I get an error. I think I need to test to see if they are on the stage with an if statement before I try to remove them, because I am getting an error NULL when I click the button. The problem is that I don't know how to test for them. I got as far to put the name of the variable in the condition. Can someone help me please?

  Do you mean the site drop-down list that shows in the address bar?
  You can select an entry from the list and press SHIFT + DELETE to remove it.

If you encounter problems with e-mail to a specific contact, in this case because updates of their coordinates appear to be fill out correctly, you can try to remove all current individual or you group involving, as messages below:

  If your messages are not sent or you do not receive the messages

  Check your details:

  1. Make sure you use the right phone number or email address of the contact.
  2. Go to settings > Messages > blocked and make sure that the contact is not on your list of blocking.

  When I open Add and remove programs, I noticed that I had scads of updates for windows XP in the list of programs. What will happen if I deleted the old updates and kept more current? Some of them are a few years old.

  Folders that have uninstall as part of the name (for example $NtUninstallKB282010$ who reside in C:\windows (hidden files) are window Hot difficulty updating folders/files) can be removed safely (providing ever, you wish to uninstall the updates).
