  • I use CS6 and when I use the pen tool, it removes the Interior isn't the external image of the image

I've been using photoshop cs5 and cs6 for some time, but I've never encountered this problem. Whenever I use the pen tool to draw an object and I close the outline object, it deletes the object I have traced him and not the bottom. It's really annoying and I can't change it. I have spentt a good amount of time to try to change but I don't know how. Can someone please help I also watched online, but there is nothing to help.

    Hello

This is probably the path setting operations.

The default setting in photoshop cs6 is to exclude the shapes that overlap, and you can also use forms combine.

It is a huge problem, because I want to do logos and I can't.

If I'm doing something wrong, or using the wrong tool please tell me the correct way.

I should also add the alternative way (which seems a bit lengthy compared to above, but who can help with a different design)

    Start up and going counterclockwise

Click on the highest point of the page

    Click the second (straight line)

Click on the third (straight line)

Click and drag in the fourth (to create the curve)

ALT click on the fourth point, which you have just created (which removes the handle facing forward)

Click and drag to the fifth (to create the curve)

ALT click on the fifth (to remove the handle facing forward)

Click on items 6 and 7 (straight)

Click and drag the 8 (curve)

ALT click on the 8th (removes the handle facing forward)

Click and drag the 9 (curve)

ALT click 9 (to remove the handle facing forward)

Click on the 10th (straight line)

Click on the starting point (straight line to close the loop)

  • Pen tool CS6 and confusion of path

    Hi again all,

It's driving me crazy! Everyone has noticed this with the pen tool?

If I have 2 anchor points with a curve, I always used to be able to grasp the (elastic) path between the 2 points and then drag to change the shape and size of the curve, keeping the angle of the axis the same tip.

It was great, and I've developed a style that I find very fast and very accurate using this method.

However now in CS6, when I take the path and drag, it changes the angle of the axis points completely change the shape of my way. Also when I take the path, sometimes to the point also will start moving! as it is not actually embedded... I used to be able "roll" the path in a curve... now he dragged it away.

Illustrator CS6 works as I want what he... Try it for yourselves. Create a square with the stylus, then add a point in the middle of 2 of the edges and remove the origin point in between (you will need create axis points yourself in illustrator). Now you should have 4 points and a curve... Drag the path and see the difference between illustrator and Psalm.

I can't stop this behavior? its causing me so much grief!... I know that there will be lots of people saying simply click and drag to create the curve but after 10 years of doing it this way, it will be a little difficult to do!

    Cheers in advance

    Tom

  • Different way "Pen Tool" way instead

    Hello

Instead of using a pen tool, is there an easier and the easiest way to remove the "background" of the following type of Images in order to reduce the time and Stress?

Just to add to the good advice above, selecting some things in images so that they can be isolated and put to use by other means, for example, product announcements, is perhaps one of the most sought-after commercial functions of Photoshop.  There are a number of great tools, and there are a multitude of 3rd party plugins that help certain types of selections.  In short, the world is rich in options.

With regard to the use of what you have, with the latest versions of Photoshop at least, as mentioned above the Quick Selection tool makes extremely short work of the first picture above, because it has a fairly consistent background and a lot of contrast.  The other images you have posted are more difficult with the same tool, because the edges are all simply not so well defined and the background is more varied.

Note that the multiple uses of the Quick Selection Tool add up, and you can subtract as well by changing the tool with the ALT key.  Select background, and then invert the selection to select only the object is a handy trick that is very helpful with the image of the clip.

Experiment with the selection tools in the tool palette.  Maybe you also find the tool Polygonal lasso to your taste for rapid manufacturing.

In addition, get acquainted with this smooth and feathering selections can do for you.

  • Pen tool: how to trace node

For example, if I wan to draw

    -------->

I would click to create a starting node. Move to the right, then create another node to form a line.

Then I'd go diagonal to the left, but then I can't go back sharp part of the arrow to draw a diagonal line to the bottom left.

Is there a way? I want to create an animation of an arrow is designed to help connect the tracks.

Using the pen tool is slightly different than in Illustrator or Photoshop. My technique is to select the tool pen (g) then use Alt/Option and Ctrl/Cmnd to change the pointer. If you have trouble positioning of a Summit so you can place it anywhere with the default pen then select the point using the Ctrl/Cmnd key as a modifier and move it to a new location, then continue drawing.

The only problem with alignment or placing a vertex directly on top of the other, is that it is very difficult to make diaper changes.

My technique would be to shoot an arrow on paper first and decide how I naturally attracts it. Then, I'd probably use two shots, one for the line and a dash v under the arrow head shaped. I start to draw the arrow from the point, then back up and add the V.

The other option would be to draw the line to change direction and move the pen to the back, then down, then to the point of creating a kind of arrow head closed. If you use two paths you can put them in the same shape layer and then add the trim paths to complete the animation with just two keyframes and the paths will be deleted in the order.

The other option would be to draw the arrow in a full form not with a stroke, if you have a nice looking arrow. Then I would add suddenly to the model which was broad enough to cover the entire arrow, then apply trim paths to this feature and use it as a track matte to reveal the arrow. Everything depends on the design.

  • Masking with the pen tool creates unwanted cropping

Adobe Premiere Pro CC - 2015.4 version 10.4.0 (30) build

I'm adding a chart and try to hide a file HAVE with the pen tool. As soon as I click on the tool pen under the control of opacity effect, a small portion of the image is cropped on the right side. Even when I finished the mask, he trims still on the right side.

Here is what the chart looks like no mask at all. http://i.imgur.com/CtKbvOD.PNG

  • Pen tool, some paths, basic shapes, etc.

Hi, first sorry for my bad English.

I bought the ipad pro and pencil to apple, when it came out last year, trying to replace my macbook and imac in illustration and design work. I hope that Adobe, as one of the major design software developer, would a pro for us software "artists" in a few months. Not need to be too pro version full of mac os, but at least something that works for all kinds of artists:

1 - drawings of hands free

    or

    2 precise geometric designs

The first option in this version of works "Illustrator draws" regular, not great and not bad. We can make several good designs, the quality is good. But whenever I need a more specific move, small details. Frustration begins: no path, no selector to move a part of the drawing (just move the entire layer), etc.

In the second option "illustrator draw" is simply not do work with this kind of artists (my case). I hate to be repetitive, but all I can say is that I tried to work with adobe apps with my ipad pro and apple pencil. And it is impossible (for my kind and style of work).

I downloaded graphic Autodesk and Protosketch. Two of them, it is much MUCH better that Illustrator draws, I can get the end result in both entities. There's the pen, Bezier work tool just fine, select traced, paint, paint, move, align, insert the position and scale, remove and what I want is possible with these applications.

So my question is, why adobe do not develop an app that make already what these apps do for years?

Where is the pen tool (Bézier, etc.)? where selection points? where is the base of any vector software?

    Hi Lucas,.

I'm sorry to have taken so long to answer. Thanks for posting.

When the draw was created, it has been designed as, well, adjuvant to Illustrator CC. something that would allow people to start a project away from the desktop computer, and then complete it on the desktop.

People have started using it to learn more. That has intensified since the introduction of the iPad from Apple Pro and a pencil and we receive many requests and suggestions to make the application more "useful". And we take them seriously with regard to the evolution of the draw. That said, despite the fact that they are requested with a certain regularity, I am not sure that the plan is to incorporate an Illustrator - Bézier or the selection tools in the app. I would like to have more information for you...

I pass all comments along to the team produced and I'll share yours, in its entirety, with them also.

Thanks again for taking the time to post.

    Sue.

  • Pen tool initiates overview

So allow me to add a point where I need on the path.

I was also able to hover over a point and the cursor turns into:

How can I get this feature on Illustrator CC?

    Thanks in advance

    1. as previously, your form must be selected or you will call a new form.

    2. in the preferences > General > confirm that "disable add/remove Auto" is * not * checked.

Or the other of them solve the problem?

  • 'Less' last point pen tool does not

Photoshop CC 2015 (apparently more recent update) using the tool pen a sign less appears when you move the last point created but clicking on this point does nothing. In addition, the sign less hover always appeared just to the last point? I thought that in previous versions that you can hover over any point to get the sign less and subtract. I realize that I could use the tool remove an anchor point, but I am concerned with the pen tool and create the path.

  • Pen tools

Hello, I am using illustrator for years and I have never encountered this problem in the past. Is there a way to permanently disable my folders to automatically connect to another without using shortcuts every time I want to create a new path?  Everything was working fine until yesterday. It's very frustrating when I just want to create simple lines and do not disconnect the points. I fear I have tape on a key without knowing.

    Thanks in advance!

If disconnect you after each point placed you could not draw very well.

Nobody talks about the pen from a new path with each click.

a quick tap P is not a big deal. Otherwise, how is it meant to know when you want the line to continue or stop?

The question is not to put an end to the path currently being developed, which can be made by pressing Enter. (You must type P, which is just the shortcut of selecting the pen tool, which, in the situation described, is already selected.)

The question under discussion is the behavior of the auto-join infernal to Illustrator pen tool, by which he insists on endpoints of paths joining pre-existing not selected that resident within picking distance when you try to start a new path. It has been complained for decades. A few versions back, a parameter preferably finally offered to disable the behavior to remove auto anchorPoint just as boring. But from CS6, there is still no option to disable the auto-join behavior. (I can't speak for later versions, because I refuse to rent the software.)

And Yes, the author of thread is quite correct in observing that Illustrator of convoluted override for the behavior of keyboard (mouse down somewhere you do not want to start the path, hold down the space bar, drag to where you want to start the way, mouse-around the top, release the SPACEBAR) is simply ridiculous.

And the behavior of the auto-join is not necessary. Best interfaces drawing of path of other Bézier drawing programs do not. It is at the heart of the UI object oriented program design: the stylus is not a selection tool. There not affecting the paths not selected .

Like many things in the interface selection heavy and confused by Illustrator, it is backwards. With the pen tool by hand, a single hot key should be used to momentarily appeal existing end point so a selection to Select a tool. Then by clicking on the pen in the same place joins in and continues the path selected now . It is more effective and more intuitive. It's just one of several places where the inconsistent interface Illustrator does not respect the fundamental meaning and purpose of 'selection '.

    Hi guys,.

need help.  You can open illustrator and his attempt, I'm talking about.

All of a sudden when I draw a pth with the pen, the origin of this tool, is not visibule, when I click to place a point or you want to adjust the handles, they are simply not there, it's as if I paint bling.

Normally, when you draw with the pen tool, it will be a guide in the middle of the track, the same color as what you have set your layer, but mine does not work, it's just a continuous black line and even when I chose it, it's not

display the box, so I have no idea how Bezier handles are defined, or when I chose?

If I open a new document, it is fine and back to normal, so that's something, I must have pressed?
