• Need help to remove an entry from the "orphan" ESXi4/vSphere inventory

  I would apprecate a help because I seem to have managed to myself in a bit of a tie knot.

  Having recently installed ESXi 4, we are moving some old servers VMWare 1.09 virtual machines to new ESXi box. I copied one of the virtual machines in the store and then added to the inventory database. When the machine refused to start then I tried to run the hardware upgrade process.

  When this is not so, I have to admit that I do not and I then spent to the data store and delete the folder that contains this virtual machine instead of using the option "remove disc" in the context menu of the inventory.

  So I find myself with an entry of the inventory that doesn't really exist anymore. I tried to copy the VM for exactly the same folder in the data store in the hope that this would then allow me to remove the inventory screen. However, when I right click on the object of the inventory, the options "remove disc" and "Remove from inventory" are both greyed out.

  Is there another way to delete this orphan entry?

  In ESXi, your inventory is maintained in the file /etc/vmware/hostd/vmInventory.xml

  Edit the file and see if the virtual computer is listed.  If this is the case, remove it.  For example:

  The file backup, first of all, then delete < configEntry > to < / ConfigEntry >, save the file, and then restart the management agents. Once you sign in again with the VIC, we should have the virtual machine.

  Help, locate the item you email:

  To select the fields for a notification by e-mail

  1. Open the display form that contains the fields you want to include in the email notification.
  2. On the view menu, choose elements of Notification Email. uDesigner opens a window of data items in the Notification Email.
  3. Use the information in the following table to complete this window.

  If you have a retail version of Windows 7, I believe you get two free calls.  If you have an OEM version, you are supposed to get help from your manufacturer.  MS provides a tax service.

  Unfortunately you can't remove individual events right now. The fastest way to remove events is the 'Month' tab, then tap and hold events in the list and select 'Delete' from the side menu.

  With Autoruns, you can deselect an item which disables startup, or you can click with the right button on an item, then remove it. If you clear the check box that you can check back for re - activate the element. It is an approach much safer than editing the registry and better than using msconfig.

  Another useful feature of the program is that you can click with the right button on an item and select search online to get information about the selected item.

  2. open Backup/Restore > advanced.

  3. in Advanced Options, you will see a split pane screen. The left pane of your device and the right is a list of the existing databases.

  I disagree with Simon here.  I think that the deletion of fields of a screen is a valid thing to do.  I can see the case when you are using the same screen, but have two different sets of data that require slightly different fields on the screen.  This is what seems to be the case here.

  I just realized what is the problem.

  your code:

  Delete (object_to_supprot.getField (k));

  must be:

  object_to_supprot. Delete (object_to_supprot.getField (k));

  Your current code is actually:

  This.Delete (object_to_supprot.getField (k));

  and 'this' is probably your second screen.  You want to remove fields from your first screen.

  Can I ask you to review my first post and Simon post, once again.  If please review how to use the battery in the display and make sure that you use it properly.

  (1) if we return to the real Server SMTP, all failure events will trigger again (I mean goes all pending emails sent again).

  You'll find programs and feature has a ghost entry and removing 24 will delete the current version. You need one of the many programs Fixer registry that remove these entries from ghosts. Windows does a poor job of managing installed programs, so that this kind of situation is not uncommon.

  Welcome to the forums.

  Don't forget that managers can be and are used recursively, to remove all, you must remove the field directors and managers of their managers.

  You should be able to determine the field that threw the IllegalStateException, and of that number on that delete, you did not.

  You can also use . getManager() to find out if a field is related, and then remove it from the Manager identified if you want to reuse the field.
