Remove the prefix search on KeywordFilterField

Hi all

I have a KeywordFilterField and when the field is in focus and the user types on the keyboard, the field automatically search through the list using the keyboard input. I would just turn off.

I tried invoking setSearchable (false), does not work.

I tried the substitution of keyChar, my method of substitution are not even invoked.

Can someone help me?

Found a hack solution to this problem. If you create a custom TextField (Field.READ_ONLY) and set as its keyword filter field, now the prefix, the search stops and it triggers keyChar new event.

    Yes you can remove, but you must use SQL Query to do this.

    Yes, it's sure that it's just a value decode and IOM uses the value encodes for the operation. Even if it's in the Code value then also you can delete this key code as well.

    If you use a Dataset, then you can simply create function in SQL that will cut (substring) this ADITResource ~ and shows the value of Decode table LKV / HGLN. For your query search display field will be LKV_DECODED and save the field will be LKV_ENCODED. At the time of the selection, it will display the values ENCODED and DECODED but when you click on submit, then it will display only LKV_DECODED

    You need not repeat dozens of times or use profanity to get help.

    (1) disable all non-essential or unrecognized extensions on this tab. Don't know what it does? When in doubt, turn off:

    Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Extensions category

    Use the links above a disabled extension to restart Firefox if some seem to.

    (2) restore your Google search engine:

    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/SearchReset/

    (3) check a user.js file (before the release of Firefox, otherwise the parameters in this file can cancel your cleaning) as described in this article: How to fix preferences that will not save.

    (4) If AVG search took over your page to the new tab (Ctrl + t), which changes as follows:

    (A) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (B) in the filter box, type or paste newtab and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (C) double-click the preference browser.newtab.url and enter the desired value for your favorite page:

    thumbnails (i) (default) Page = > subject: newtab

    (ii) blank tab = > subject: empty

    Firefox homepage integrated (iii) = > topic: welcome

    (iv) any other page = > full URL of the page

    IMPORTANT: If you have AVG software in your Windows Control Panel, you need to remove it.

    I already removed the new changes of the research with the rocking of the browser.search.showOneOffButtons, but I don't want to search there settings button to be misclicked on. Is there a way to fix this?

    With this, you can skip the search quite bar.

    Context search {web link}
    Develops the context menu item 'Search' in a list of
    installed search engines, allowing you to choose the engine
    you want to use for each search.

  • Remove the Google search bar of about: newtab page

    It's maddening, and why users don't upgrade their software. The 3 latest updates of Firefox have caused many to not open in Firefox https sites, but they work fine in Internet Explorer. Lowering the TLS settings in topic: config from 3 to 2 fixed prior to version 31.0

    When defective to fix today after the upgrade again, I became suspicious of Kaspersky and disabled who solved the problem of https. I'm still confused on why the Firefox upgrade resulted in Kaspersky blocks the application of any suspicious activity however. I think it's connected to the strange/unexpected uses of DNS server settings or a proxy.

    To add insult to injury, I now have a highly UNDESIRABLE Google search bar in the top of my topic: newtab 31.0 version page. Why? Who thought it was a good idea to Mozilla?

    If I wanted that Google (or any other search engine) to see each search query, that I come home, I set this as my home page search engine, or to drop Mozilla completely and use Chrome. When the Mozilla developers add this unwanted code in their browser, they are essentially removing the attractiveness of using it in the first place. Today, it is a loss that I spent all day playing with it.

    Again, this is why people don't IMPROVE not - this 'upgrade' has messed up my browser just as much as any virus has never.

    Thanks for the suggestions. I use the version of Kaspersky called Endpoint Security company and after much digging, I found a solution here:
    Kaspersky and Firefox SSL Bug

    The fix requires submitting a support request to patch pt133 in KES 8.1.0.1042 - the previous version of KES 8 (v.8.1.0.831) must be upgraded before you install the patch.

    In regards to the search bar, which gives a box to check or uncheck the box for this unwanted feature would be more diplomatic, but thanks for the workaround.

    @vladD

    This is the way to access the 'hidden' settings or the prefs in Firefox.

    Type of topic: config in the URL bar and press ENTER.

    If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access this page.

    You can use the filter at the top line to reach specific parameters as this keyword. URL

    But I think that the answer of silkphoenix should directly address this issue with AVG Pref.

    First of all, update Firefox. Update Firefox to the latest version.

    After doing this, reset Firefox. Refresh Firefox – reset settings and Add-ons. This should solve the problems you have while retaining your personal information.

  • Remove the prefix of file name when exporting to PDF

    Hello

    Here I found a script that exports the current document in PDF format on the desktop.

    I would like for it to change the file name as the first two characters are deleted.

    Example:

    The existing file name is: X_pagelayout.indd

    I want this script to create a PDF file called: pagelayout.pdf

    Thoughts?

    Your help is very appreciated.

    var = myFolder ' ~ \Desktop ";

    myDoc var = app.activeDocument;

    var myDocname = myDoc.name.split (".indd");

    myDoc.exportFile (ExportFormat.PDF_TYPE, file (new file (MyFolder + "\" + myDocname.join (".pdf")));)

    I just tried this and it works fine now...

    app.scriptPreferences.userInteractionLevel = UserInteractionLevels.NEVER_INTERACT;

    var = myFolder ' ~ \Desktop ";

    myDoc var = app.activeDocument;

    var myDocname = myDoc.name.split ("_") [1];

    var myNewName = myDocname.replace(/.indd/gi);

    myDoc.exportFile (ExportFormat.PDF_TYPE, file (new (MyFolder + "\" + myNewName + ".pdf")));

    app.scriptPreferences.userInteractionLevel = UserInteractionLevels.interactWithAll;

  • Set the default search for 6.0 engine.

    He continues to show upward with the Firefox search engine. I did search engines to manage and he refuses to stay the same. I don't want Firefox as my default search engine. I even remove the Firefox search engine and it is just when I restart.

    I have searched and tried several things including this suggestion of config and nothing works.

    To be clear, it is for the search engine in the bar, NOT the search home page.

    I found this thread while searching for the solution to the same problem. It seems to be part of the test pilot program that runs automatically to people who are on the beta version of Firefox. I fixed the problem by going into my Add-ons and looking at the extensions. There should be one called with something on a study of usefulness of search results. If you disable or remove this extension, the option to "Search the Web" firefox will disappear for good.

  • How can I remove the search engine on my page in new tabs?

    Hello

    a year or two ago I spent hours trying to find an answer to this question and I managed to do it, but unfortunately a few weeks back I had an unexpected data loss, and I'm unable to find a solution to my problem more.

    By 'on my new tabs page search engine', I mean the dialog box with the choice search engine that did not exist in the previous version of FireFox. I want to not go. Not changed Yahoo, Bing or anything else - just.

    If I remember, the solution was to go to about: config and change the settings for those who would make the thing not appear at all (rather that remove entirely), but if you know how to do so that he went not only visually, but also officially, I'm obviously very well with this solution too.

    Hi, you are using an older version of Firefox, which can compromise your security. Update to 41.0.1, open the 3-bar menu > help (question mark below on the right) > on Firefox.

    After that, here's some additional information for reference: you can change the number of tiles on the page new tab in zoom in or back (Ctrl and + key, or Ctrl and - key).

    You can also keep the same zoom setting when a new tab is clicked: Type Subject: config in the address bar, press ENTER, accept the warning, scroll to browser.newtab.preload and double-click on it to change the 'value' of true to False.

    It is also possible about: config to change the maximum number of tiles, scrolling to the browser.newtabpage.columns (or Rows), then right-click > modify to set a new number of 'value '. - Editor of Configuration of Firefox.

    However, given that you want to remove the search box in the new page tab, I suggest you try the add-on New tab tools.

    If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.
