Remove the Snipping Tool

January 14, 2009 I got my office restarted by Microsoft, the capture tool was pinned in the Start Menu,.

After the re - start the capture tool had been removed from the Start Menu, so far I have been unable to locate

the tool captures in the programmes and subprogrammes.  I've damaged the optic nerves and I found

the tool captures to be more convenient to view, print (things like bus schedules, entertainment),

to accommodate my eye problems.  How to re - install the tool captures in my programs and start

Menu, please.

I am assuming that you tried the research of the cutting tool by typing snip in the search box on the Start Menu. If not, please try that first. Otherwise, you should be able to locate the Snipping tool in your system32 folder.
Here's how:
1. open Windows Explorer (start > computer)
2. double-click on the "C" drive (the drive where your operating system is installed, or the C drive).
3. double-click on the "Windows" folder The system warns you that the files in this folder are the essential system files and should not be modified or removed. Continue nevertheless.
4. scroll down and find the contents of the folder "System32". Double click on it.
5 organize the files in alphabetical order by name and scroll down to the section "s". Looking for a file named "SnippingTool.exe. Once you have found it, right-click on it and choose "Pin to Start Menu" or "Add to Quick Launch" as you wish. This will create a new shortcut for the tool in your Start menu or on your Quick Launch bar. Or, if you prefer, you can choose "send to" and then "desktop (create shortcut)" in the context menu instead. This will create a shortcut tool cutting on your desktop. Under no circumstances should you delete or move the 'SnippingTool.exe' file in the System32 folder, however.
Please let us know if this solves your problem.
Best wishes

Looks like you may have a virus or other malware. Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode. Then run a complete system scan.

If that suits him fine. If this is not the case, use system restore to go back to an earlier date at the beginning of the problem. To run system restore, click Start-> programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> system restore. Click on the box that says show more restore points.

You can check the corrupted system files. Open an administrator command prompt and run SFC if the above does not help. Click START, and then type CMD in the search box, right-click on CMD. EXE and click run as administrator. Then, from the command prompt type sfc/scannow.

Finally if all else fails, you can look at the rather cryptic system event log. To make, click Start-> Control Panel-> administration-> event viewer tools. Once in Event Viewer system log-click and scroll entries looking for these "error" with indicator see if you can find guidance on where the problem may be.

  • Cannot use the Snipping Tool/Take screenshots

After restarting my computer a few days ago, I found that I was unable to use the cutting tool. Whenever I try to use it, my entire monitor turns to a grey color, and some of the text on the tool itself is blacked out. I tried to take a screenshot instead, but the images do not copy, so I can't paste. I tried to install some program of photo sharing, and none so far has worked. They usually give me a black square instead of a picture. I have not installed anything that might explain this recently, and I'd appreciate some advice. (My computer using Windows 7 at the moment).

    Hi Michelle,

You can capture all of the following types of comments:

    • Free-form snip.  Draw a free-form around an object shape.

    • Rectangular snip.  Drag the cursor around an object to form a rectangle.

    • Capture window.  Select a window such as a dialog box or the browser window you want to capture.

    • Capture full screen.  Capture the entire screen.

After a capture, it is automatically copied to the Clipboard, and the annotation window. The annotation window, you can annotate, save, or share the snip. The following procedures explain how to use the Snipping Tool.

  • remove the development tools

I have tried everything I can find online, but I just can't help the developer tools to interfere when I type in a search, or type text on a web page.

I went to about: config and off each dev listed, still nothing changes.

Please tell me how to remove the tools from the developer of my computer

If Safe Mode works, which usually means that one of your extensions is the origin of the problem.

You can try to disable the more less frequent - Garmin and AVG - on the addons page. Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, you can find the button disable for each of them.

Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

Which improves the behavior of Firefox?

It is also possible that the extension of the problem works great on its own, but interacts badly with a your plugins, so if you want to keep both of these extensions enabled, examine and disable unnecessary plugins.

Page modules, in the left column, click on Plugins. To disable a plugin, change its permission to "activate" to "never activate. You may need to open a new window (Ctrl + n) or exit and restart Firefox to see the effects of the change.

  • How can I remove the Administrative Tools, network connections, printers & Fax and scanners and cameras my desktop icons?

Recently, I installed a trial version of Tune Up Utilities 2009. During one of the scans/tune-ups, he gave me the option to display the Administrative Tools, network connections, printers & Fax and Scanners & cameras icons on my desktop. I checked ok, however, now, I think it's too crowded in my office and you want to remove them... right on the desktop, not everywhere else they are located. I tried everything I know to remove them without success. Anyone knows where is the menu option to display on the desktop so I can uncheck or choose Delete? I don't want to have to change all the .ini files or .bat to because I'm afraid I don't do it correctly and create other problems.

    Hello tellis1230

I don't know what you have tried, but have a look here

    Right-click Desktop-desktop/properties/Office/Customization

    Uncheck what you don't want

  • You can add a printer the Snipping Tool send to option?

I would like to add a printer to the Sendto Snipping Tool. Now what is available is email but there are moments where I would send the capture directly to a printer. It is probably a registry setting, but I was not able to find it. Someone at - he had luck adding a printer to the Sendto Snipping Tool?

    Hi omdahl.

I am afraid to talk, but there is no option to add a printer to the Sendto Snipping Tool. You can get the same through the following steps:

    1. save it as an image.

    2. take an impression of the image.

  • Snipping Tool, Windows 8, PDF file (I can't keep the PDF open window to use the Snipping Tool)

I was wondering how to use the tool captures Windows 8 with an open PDF file.  If I open the PDF, I then need to open the tool such as capture and App or in my toolbar.  The PDF file takes a back seat, and so I find myself with the tool box captures only allowing me to look at my office.  Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Jim

I found that when I had the cutting tool open and I hit Ctrl + print screen, I was able to use the tool cutting on the PDF file.

  • Remove the component tools preferably set when opening the PDF documents

I was unable to locate a permanent function of Hide to hide "Tools Pane" overall upward.  I don't want all the icon tools displayed every time I open a PDF document. I want to just look at a full page of the document on screen and access the tools if and when I need them.

    Hoping someone can help me.

    Thank you

If you are using the latest version of Reader (Acrobat Reader DC), you can do the following:

    1. go in the Edit menu. then Preferences..., select the 'Documents' category on the left (the second from the top) and in the right, uncheck "pane open tools for each document. Press OK to dismiss the preferences pane.

    2. then open any PDF file and hide the pane tools by SHIFT + F4 or by clicking on the thin partition between the page and the tool pane.

    3 close the player.

In the next time on when you use the drive, you do not see the tool pane. You can still get it by clicking on the thin margin to the right of the display of the page (where the Tools pane will remain hidden) and activate it by activating the preference above again permanently.

    Hope that helps!

  • Can Toshiba Software - I remove the unnecessary tools and utilities?

    Hei.

I just got my Toshiba Qosmio X 770 - 10U "17,3 HD + LED and well the phone is awesome pretty much the beast for each task." But I have a little problem with all these toshiba of the software that have been installed on this thing and I'm a little unsure if I can delete everything which, without doing any critical dmg for laptop?

And ofc now these days where all gotto be digital, I have not received my copy of W7HP only the reboot thingy on the hard drive, but if I reinstall the version of the hard drive, all programs will follow... So I wounder if there is anyway to get a copy of toshiba W7HP or who ever has free since I was already a little paid for it? Or what I need to download illigaly and use the code under my computer?

    THX.

I agree with you. There are Toshiba's useless specific things and some of them can be removed.
It would be easier if you can post which of them you want to remove from the system, and I'll try to help you with this.
    > I did not receive my copy of W7HP...
In General, everything is explained in the document s user manuals. Please follow the advice on the creation of recovery disks. Create recovery DVDs using the preinstalled Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator. I recommend you to use DVD-R only disks. Of course, not a product without good name market but high quality TDK or Verbatim discs.
