  I can't install additional programs (unfortunately), so I was hoping the "ren" command in cmd propmt would work, but it just points _TA.dwg at the end of my file instead of replace it. Help!

  You might want to try the freeware "Bulk Rename Utility" (DAUGHTER-IN-LAW).  I know will say you that you can not install additional programs, but BRU has a version that does not install (just decompress anywhere and run) more a few versions that run from the command prompt.  Click on the following link and go to the section "other files":

I tried all the suggestions in this forum and several others. I tried sfc/scannow and it simply replaces the corrupted file by another. I understand how works this file and a simple copy will do the trick if I knew that the file to use. I know that I don't want to go back to the first version of 2006.  BTW... my symptoms are all my printers have disappeared, and when I try to 'add a new printer' I get an error message saying that my spooler service does not work.   Make a bunch of audio files, placed in a folder on my desktop. Files initially sent to RealPlayer to burn, but when finished burning CD and went to read a CD, folder got seized by Media Player, 'Indexed' and disappeared from the office. I'm a relatively new computer user, and I need to learn more about file paths, how to view the path FULL of a file on my computer and how to type (create) full path when I need to. The "Indexing" feature seems to erase this lesson for me, and after having spent four hours trying to find Vista instructions on "How to move the file from one place to another", I gave up! Windows 'Help and Support' on my computer gives wrong directions. It states that if I right click on a folder > properties, a dialog box opens with a tab by which I can move my account. There is no tab location here. I found locations tab when right click on the "Mobile" folder, but still no option to "move file". No idea what is the folder "Roaming" or why it's on my computer. I want my audio files in the My Music folder, but this place is "access denied." Don't know how to get the audio file it in any case, but if anyone has any advice, I would be very happy! Thank you. PS - I had no problem moving folders in XP. I don't like the idea that a computer is to decide where to put my files. I want to control where I put my files. I don't like the way search works under Vista. I liked the XP search companion better because, for a computer fool like me, it was really easy to organize and find files and folders and had an option specific to find audio and video file TYPES.

  I did experiments with the connectable Oracle12c to database functionality and have noticed that when I "drop database connectable to pdb1 including datafiles', I get the message that the database snap-in has been dropped."  I also see that all files in the tablespace for the PDB except the SYSTEM data file have been deleted.

  Thanks for the Bug information.  There is no error in the alert.log file, but I found a trace file with:

  ORA-01265: cannot remove the D:\ETC\ETC\SYSTEM01 DATA. DBF

  ORA-27056: could not delete file

  OSD-04024: cannot delete the file.

  S/O-error: (32 OS) the process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

  This seems to be the same problem as described in bug 17659954, so I can follow in investigating the recommendations of bug

  Right. So I downloaded and I logged into Adobe Creative cloud and I tried to download Photoshop CC (several times). But when it gets to 90%, I get the error in the title ("the Installation failed, cannot move the file. Rename the file, and then try again")

  I tried using error messages in the logs for troubleshooting, but I found nothing. Here are the 2 error messages I receive.

  You are on a network in a school? If there might be one video files with the same name already exists in this folder.

  Try to get the video files using add media videos from camcorders or cameras and by accessing the camera or the card reader by using the video importer. In the video importer, you can set the custom file name and rename your files so that they will not have the same names as existing files.

  Hi, I shot a few photos December 31 night mode RAW Nikon D800 and extreme as well as Sandisk card SDHC 32 GB. Looks like the card got some errors of memory so not able to transfer the files from the card to the computer. However, I am able to view the photos through Lightroom ver 4.4 library, but when I tried to import them, it gives me an error message indicating this file cannot be read.

  Is it possible to save the photos to the "library window" in lightroom overcoming the card read errors?

  If you see the photos in the library module, the photos are already imported. If I there are thumbnails in the import dialog box, that means the jpg display embedded in the Raws are ok, although the raw data itself is corrupted.
