  • Can't print emails Yahoo. Is this a Firefox problem?

Can't print emails Yahoo. Is this a Firefox problem? I can click on print and e-mail opens in a new window, but when I click on print in the upper part of this new window it sounds right. The only other option on this window is "close this window".

To test how Firefox works no 'custom' on your system, could you experience in two minutes?

    Create a new Firefox profile

A new profile will be your plugins installed by system (for example, Flash) and extensions (e.g., security suite toolbars), but no themes, other extensions or other customizations. It should also have databases of completely fresh settings and cool a cache folder.

Out of Firefox and start in the profile using Start Manager > Search box (or run):

    firefox.exe -P

Any time want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog box.

You will click on the button create a profile. I recommend using the suggested default location (do not click the button to choose a different folder). Then launch Firefox in the new profile that you have created.

You can get the print in the new profile dialog box?

If so, it is probably a problem with one of your files, settings or extensions. If not, your installation of Firefox is maybe damaged. Rather than insert pages of instructions at this point, could report you on the results of the test first?

When you return to the Profile Manager to return to your normal settings, you might be tempted to use the button to delete the profile. It's a little too easy to accidentally delete your 'real' profile, so I recommend you to resist the temptation. If you don't want to clean up later, I suggest to make a backup of all your profiles first in case something go wrong.

  • Firefox problem with Captivate 2?

    Hi all
I went through these forums and on the Web for a solution to my problem, but none will be presented. I use Adobe captivate 2 to create a simulation. I publish the simulation as a SWF with HTML. I test on my local machine in Firefox 1.5.0.9 and with Internet Explorer 6.0.29. Everything works fine on the spot. If I put it on the Web, everythign works as expected in Internet Explorer, however with Firefox, the shortcut key 'Enter', that I have assigned to a text entry box does not work. Nothing happens. Does not proceed to the next screen, does not display the legend of failure. For the sake of curiosity, I tested this problem with an old sim card I created with Captivate 1. The problem is not with captivate evidient 1. The problem seems to be attached to Firefox, Captivate 2 and access to the simulation on the Web. (Unfortunately, I can't provide a link to the problem, as it is a secure site, and which would involve giving you a password in order to release the material to the company. They would not like this so ;))

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated, because this problem has left me speechless.

    Thank you
    Keith

    Hi all

Thank you for your response. I found the solution. I assumed the standard.js file published by captivate was to suppress the warning flash IE. However, no calling not this file in my custom HTML page, load the SWF file has caused the key of the entry in Firefox problem.

  • Alignment in Firefox problem

I have a business Web site www.rove-n-ramble.com , it works fine in ie and chrome. But not in firefox (38.0.5). The main problem is in the part of cursor. The cursor almost out of the page instead of in the middle and so ugly. PL. help me in this regard.

This happens usually if there is not a clear CSS rule for this element (container).
This causes Firefox to begin to make the cursor immediately after the menu and not at the beginning on the next line.

  • Firefox problems after refresh problems

I did the "Refresh" asked Firefox, but now have multiple problems.

    (1) under Google to Yahoo search engine. It is a royal pain that Firefox provides no easy solution. Should be the basic option.
    (2) lost my homepage - fixed
    (3) when I reduce Firefox, he died. Must he reboot every time.
    (4) pins tabs are not remembered in the sessions
    (5) does not appear as active in the Windows taskbar

EXTREMELY frustrated by this "update of the performance.

Hi SDJ1, to change your default search engine, click on the magnifying glass to the left of the search bar, then "Edit Search Settings" at the bottom of the Panel that goes down. More information: use of the search bar in Firefox.

These symptoms are intriguing for me:

    (3) when I reduce Firefox, he died. Must he reboot every time.

    (4) pins tabs are not remembered in the sessions

    (5) does not appear as active in the Windows taskbar

On #3: Remember to always disable Firefox to use hardware acceleration? After the update, it is reactivated by default.

You can check the updates of your Intel graphics drivers by following the steps in this article: update your drivers graphics to use hardware acceleration and WebGL.

However, if this does not help, I would try to disable hardware acceleration here:

"3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > advanced

In the mini ' General' tab, uncheck the box for "use hardware acceleration when available.

This takes effect the next time you exit Firefox and start it again. Any difference?

On #4: We remind the tabs pinned as part of your tabs and windows open. Is anything get restored? I assume you are using history > restore previous Session if you not automatically restore your previous session. (Restore previous session - configure when Firefox shows your most recent tabs, windows and)

If you have pinned back before tabs without having to restore your session, which could have been manipulated by an add-on.

On #5: I can't think what would cause that, unless the problem is that, after the closure of the last window, Firefox hangs and continues to run instead of closing completely. In this case, you get a message from Firefox that it cannot start because it is still ongoing, but there is no tiling/button/tab on the taskbar.

    • topic: config page: layers.offmainthreadcomposition.enabled = false

You can open the topic: config page via the address bar.
You can accept the warning and click on "I'll be careful" to continue.

Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problem.

    See "create a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile already used in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting more problems.

  • display in XP with Firefox problems

I just installed Firefox browser to an old XP machine. I have display problems: lines on the side and 'double vision' even on the homepage. I know that I have an old video card. That because of the lines on the side in videos before. It is a computer my husband use and love! I know it's a dinosaur. More videos in programs for children, I never had no problem display just browse the web. And I can watch YouTube videos just fine in my other browsers.

In fact, it was as simple as the Java Update.

  • When I the reopen firefox, it shows the weeks, not the new tabs

Using FF 30.0 with Windows 7. This problem started a few weeks ago. It is not always the case, but I can't determine if it follows the total sleep power off or what.

You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the profile folder of Firefox that store session data.

    • Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)

Delete sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and groups of tabs open and closed tabs (back) to get lost and you will have to re-create them (take note or bookmarks if possible).

  • Why are my firefox tabs not there any moreafter reopen firefox?

When I close the browser and then re-open it all my previous tabs have disappeared and it goes to my home page. I set it so the tabs must be open. I am running version 30, but it had this problem with version 29. I haven't added yet additional modules since reboot and I always feel the question is not an add-on. I rebooted and uninstalled and reinstalled firefox and I still have this problem.

I see SQLite temporary files (sqlite.wal), so it seems that Firefox is running while making this screenshot?

Is the sessionstore.js always there when you close Firefox and when you start Firefox?

You can make a backup copy of the files sessionstore.bak and sessionstore.js.

Start Firefox and Firefox, then renames the sessionstore.js sessionstore.bak file to make it possible to restore the last session at any time during the current session (history > restore previous Session) and creates a new file sessionstore.js for the current session.

  • Two extensions that I place on the navigation bar are moved to the bottom of the status bar when I left and reopen firefox

The self-destruction of cookies and spoofer random agent have all two icons for the addons. I move the icons until the navigation bar where they sit and function while I use firefox. I then quit firefox normally and when I open it up, icons are back in the status bar. I have active sync I think that maybe that's the problem, but I still have to test this.

You can also check the problems caused by a corrupt localstore.rdf file.
