replace the family of fonts in bootstrap

Hi, what is the best way to replace the default font of bootstrap?

If I load fonts in a bootstrap of custom style sheet overrides them.

Also how can I lock (read only) my bootstrap.css so I won't change it inadvertently.

Thank you

Luke

If I load fonts in a bootstrap of custom style sheet overrides them.

Make sure that the custom map is loaded after the original stylesheet. If this does not help, you can always use ! important to ensure that the value cannot change.

Also how can I lock (read only) my bootstrap.css so I won't change it inadvertently.

This can be done outside of Dreamweaver. In Windows, use File Explorer to set the ReadOnly property.

    Oh sorry, you will need to obtain from another computer Windows Vista or your install disc (if you have one, these instructions are here).  I have just the zip and give you a complete file of fonts, but it's against the license (and technically to the United States law) for them to be distributed.

  • Add the character from of a family of fonts

    Hello

    There are a few examples available on the evolution of the existing styles etc. quites, but is possible to add extend script if they are not yet added?

    Example:

    I feel a certain framework of documents by using for example [symbol] as police. Talked normally all channels in my file that use the symbol should have character symtag label, however, for some, it is absent and which is causing issues when structuring my documents. symtag is just a fictional name for a charactertag in my catalog.

    So what I want to do is the following:

    (1) open document

    (2) review the document and for each character using symbol such as a police, check if it is to have the label of character symtag, otherwise add it.

    (3) save and close

    (1 and 3) are quite easy (well, kind of... off), but I can't find anything on how to do 2) work, I'm not even sure it's possible with extendscript start with.

    If she can keep things simple, it's always a unique character that uses the fonts in question.

    Thanks in advance for anything that can help me get started!

    A small point, but you don't need this:

    doc.TextSelection = textRange;

    This has been used so that you could see each portion of text highlighted while you were testing on a single paragraph, but it is not necessary in the completed script.

    Also an old man scolding you for your approach. I had my original code set up to work on the paragraph containing the insertion point. This is a useful approach because you can test and troubleshoot issues on a single paragraph. Then, once everything works on this paragraph, you can expand the script to work on several paragraphs, documents, etc.. But you went ahead and expanded the script until you got it working on the single paragraph. Therefore, it is difficult to know exactly where the problem is. So, at the risk of being tedious, back on the original code and a paragraph that contains the insertion point. I have slightly modified the code and put it in a function.

    #target framemaker

    var doc = app.ActiveDoc;
    var pgf = doc.TextSelection.beg.obj;
    cleanPgf (pgf, doc);

    function cleanPgf (pgf, doc) {

        var textList = pgf.GetText (Constants.FTI_CharPropsChange);
        var fontName;
        var begOffset = 0, endOffset = 0, textRange;

        for (var i = 0; i < textList.length; i += 1) {
            endOffset = textList[i].offset;
            if (endOffset  > begOffset) {
                textRange = new TextRange(new TextLoc (pgf, begOffset), new TextLoc (pgf, endOffset));
                fontName = (doc.GetTextPropVal(textRange.beg, Constants.FP_FontPlatformName).propVal.sval);
                if (/symbol/i.test (fontName) === true) {
                    alert (fontName);
                }
                begOffset = endOffset;
            }
        }
        textRange = new TextRange(new TextLoc (pgf, begOffset), new TextLoc (pgf, Constants.FV_OBJ_END_OFFSET));
        fontName = (doc.GetTextPropVal(textRange.beg, Constants.FP_FontPlatformName).propVal.sval);
        if (/symbol/i.test (fontName) === true) {
            alert (fontName);
        }
    }

    When you run this in a paragraph containing the symbol, you should see the alert displays the name of the police. You can replace the alert lines with calls to another function:

    function applyCharFmt (textRange, charFmtName, doc) {

        var charFmt = doc.GetNamedCharFmt (charFmtName);
        if (charFmt.ObjectValid()) {
            doc.SetTextProps (textRange, charFmt.GetProps());
        }

    }

    The problem in your code has this line:

    props = doc.GetProps(CharFmtId);

    that should have been:

    props = CharFmtId.GetProps();

    I use a slightly different syntax with the same result. Once get you it working on a single paragraph, you can extend it safely to work on all paragraphs in the document.

  • Change of family of fonts at once everywhere

    Let me say what I know, and then you can tell me if there is another way.

    1. Go to the Menu of themes > Style object manager > police of change for each style in each view.
    2. Change the font in the person of the three points of view and the Properties tab and choose 'save changes to existing style. Then repeat it for other views.

    What is missing is very simple. I want the entire family of fonts in all points of view and all the elements of a style. For example, I want that they all be verdana. Is there a way to do this?

    Thought, I said, but apparently he's lost.

    I'm sighing, because once again (probably due to training/books who fail good coaching practices), you have a problem because you did not configure properly the styles before creating the project but want to do it later? Same problem, I have seen in my career as an educator for design of word processing, DTP... In Dutch we say "think before you start much easier to clean up later.

    Each object in the object Style Manager has 3 different styles, one for each display breakpoint (and forms, even if they are not defined in the OSM as buttons have 3 States so). This is the biggest change since many versions of the OSM and nobody is talking about as far as I KNOW (I'm starting with that when she shows the new features). Containers of possible text styles (legends, forms) include the police, the font color, the font size. You can clone the styles as you probably know. If you change the default styles for the OSM and then create the project, there is no problem. Now, you can modify the default styles to the OSM, and they will be automatically applied to all the objects that use these default styles. I just hope that you did not replace the style by default, another bad practice that I see regularly when debugging projects. Sorry for my ranting, but tons of hours getting lost by bad practice impossible even to estimate.

  • Should I use iCloud drive to share documents with a member of the family?

    My wife has retired and is buying an iPad Pro to replace his work computer.  It is not an advanced user.

    If she wants to keep a document, can send it to my iCloud for storing drive?  Works the family shares in iCloud drive, as in iCloud?

    I am less interested in sharing music etc to save some documents.

    Thank you.

    Well, it depends on how the device is connected. It has its own ID-Apple/iCloud? I would recommend that it should have its own, as sharing an iCloud or Apple ID may cause Messages, FaceTime, Notes, virtually everything to share between the two phones. Most people find it quite annoying.

    If it is signed with the ID Apple/iCloud then she would need to set up and use his own iCloud drive - it is not a part of the family sharing.

    If it is signed with your identifying Apple/iCloud, she can use your iCloud drive.

    You can also send your request of family sharing support iCloud drive from Apple here, if you wish: Apple - Feedback

    Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

    I see you have Apple music and want to set up sharing of family and are concerned about the other person seemed to have their library adversely affected. • Change the e-mail address of the parent safety for the family

    I have two accounts of Microsft in use.  The first is a Microsoft e-mail address no I have soon will no longer access to the but is used as my connect to a PC of Windows 8 and is related to my security for the family of the children report.  Then I have a Windows Live ID.  I want to change PC to use this log on and change the e-mail address to which the security reports for the family go to Windows 8.  How to do this and in what order?

    Hello Ellen,.

    Thanks for writing to us, we are happy to help Microsoft Community.

    I understand that you want to replace the primary parent in family safety. I apologize, but we do not have this option of parental control. What you can do is to reconfigure your parental control by using the new account that you have. First of all, you must disable the parental controls from your main account.

    For more information about disabling/removing Family Safety, please visit the link below.

    How can I remove parental control?

    Once you clear the previous parent ID, you can configure Family Safety using the new user as the ID of the Parent account.

    Here is the link using which you can create a new Microsoft Account.

    https://signup.live.com/

    See the link provided below which will help you to set up parental controls by using the new user account.

  • Why OpenType fonts appears as the Type 1 fonts in the Acrobat font list?

    Update old files from InDesign to the customer. Part of the Task Type 1 (all OfficinaSans) doing a search/replace, replace all the old fonts with OpenType fonts. InDesign does this without problem. BUT! When I export these new files in PDF format and view the list fonts, it always shows OfficinaSans as a Type 1 font. I do something wrong, or I simply cannot understand something fundamental? Either way, I tried not only file > export to a PDF Print... I also printed in a PS file and distilled it. Same result... PDF looks like all Type 1 fonts.

    Using Windows 10... latest updates InDesign and Acrobat.

    Thanks to anyone who can "splain to me!

    What a creation of PDF files, with a few limited exceptions, when they are confronted with the OpenType fonts, these fonts OpenType CFF with contours of curve Bezier path of Type 1 and referring or OpenType TrueType fonts TrueType outlines quadratic curves and allusion, Adobe applications will extract the equivalent TrueType or Type 1 fonts and integrate them as Type 1 or Type 42 (TrueType) fonts in PDF files.

    The general exception only when creating forms, in this case if the font used for the form is in any OpenType format, the complete OpenType fonts will be incorporated. The reasons for this are (a) all the glyphs of the police could potentially be required and (2) fonts full OpenType has measures that are useful or necessary for the correct layout of the input data.

    On the other hand, fully integrating a font OpenType bloats the PDF with more data than necessary to fully and properly render text in the PDF file.

    Note that in OfficinaSans, if the original Type 1 both the police following OpenType CFF have been drawn from Adobe, you will see a difference in the PDF file. The police OpenType version would be named OfficinaSans Std well incorporated as a Type 1 font.

    I hope that you give insight into what's really going on.

    For a report, I have to use a specific font which is a bit old and isn't the EURO symbol. I get the missing symbol 'rose' and it's too much time to change one by one to 40 pages. How can I replace just the specific symbol with a different font. I tried searching for text, but in fact there is no missing font is just a character 'in' this font.

    Any help or ideas?

    Thank you!

    You want to use the glyph of edition tab > find/replace dialog box.

    The following illustration shows what I've done. I took a text block in PostScript Type 1 old Melior font containing a glyph in the position of the Euro character. (I had copied the text of a font OpenType that contains the Euro character and applied the Melior police.)

    Now, the character appears in pink did yours. Select the character of rose and the copy.

    Enter the name of your font at the top and stick the pink character, as shown. Select the GID/CID since your police is not Unicode.

    Choose a Unicode (like Adobe Minion Pro) font as font substitution. In the change glyph open the glyphs Panel menu, select Show: money to find the Euro glyph. He appears as shown.

    Use the command find/replace to replace the character.

  • How to export a layout Epub fixed without encrypting the files of fonts?

    When I export to a fixed provision ePub and you later want to convert it to a Kindle format fonts in the /META-INF/encryption.xml file are not retrieved correctly. How can I tell InDesign do not encrypt the font files and incorporate instead?

    The CSS has nothing to do with encryption. If your font (ttf or otf) is applied in InDesign, the fontface markup will be automatically generated by InDesign and this markup does not matter whether or not the police is encrypted/hidden.

    If you have used fonts under SIL Open Font License (OFL) license (Linotype, FontFont,... are not lic. under SIL!), you can extract the contents of your ePub, replace the font files included here, with the original font files and delete the encryption.xml file. Then you can convert it to Kindle. Of workaround does not work with typekit, skyfonts or services because you don't have access to the original font files. Over 99% of commercial fonts you cannot replace fonts epub with versions not encrypted, so be careful here. Please take a look first at the following discussion to see what might be allowed to do or not because you often have restrictions on moving or commercial license font embedding: A Solution to fonts...

  • Amendment of the text of the scanned image. I want the same text font and size.

    Hello, I was wondering if it was possible to edit an image scanned with the text on the subject. I want to replace/remove/change the text on my scanned image but I want it to be the exact same font and size and color. Color should be easy enough. But how can I do other things? Also, is there a way to simply copy the bottom of my scanned image and get rid of all the other stuff on it? Thanks to all who help.

    If the site does not recognize fonts, you may be able to illuminate the background.  You can use Image - adjust - curves both illuminate the background and obscure the text, end up with something like this:

    But you don't really have to go to WhatTheFont.com for this one...  It's pretty clear the font Arial Windows (I recognized immediately)...  Looks to be about 20 points in size.  You can either use the variant "BOLD" to the police, or the fake fat Photoshop character Panel feature which seems to be a closer match:

  • Definition of family of fonts on mx:Text .css

    Hello

    I have difficulties with implementation of a family of fonts on a control mx:Text from a .css file. Here is my code:

    CSS file:

    @namespace s "library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark";
    @namespace mx "library://ns.adobe.com/flex/mx";
    @namespace taskdetails "com.adobe.livecycle.ria.taskdetails.view. *";

    @font-face
    {
    ("SRC: url("assets/fonts/AdobeCleanUI-Regular.otf ");
    fontFamily: "AdobeCleanUI";
    embedAsCFF: true;
    }

    MX | {Text}
    do-family: Arial;
    }

    What will happen, is that no text won't appear, as if the control is not visible or empty. I tried different things to try to identify the issue, but I can set the other fonts such as Arial for the .css and it works fine. Spark containers worked well with the implementation of the policies of the .css files, but it seems that control of mx:Text has a problem with it (is - it possible to all mx controls would show this behavior?

    To work around the problem, is there a spark control that can be used in the same way to a mx:Text control?

    Thanks for your help,

    Patrick

    By default, mx:Text wants to embedAsCFF = false.  Unless you use FTE in MX

    controls.
