  I have a file In Design to create a printed book (11 "x 11") and decided to use CC 2014 to create a layout fixed ePub 3 for a digital version.  I converted the book on minor issues of having to change the font and it is very beautiful.

  I want to add videos at the end of the book to take advantage of the flexibility of the digital format.  I create a slideshow of my photos year-end and host them on Vimeo.

  I tried the following:

  Using the standard Vimeo include the code in an HTML element

  The use of the old flash Vimeo embed code and conversion to HTML - worked great on iBooks on Mac but not on iPhone/iPad as based on flash

  Accommodation and a link to the videos on my own web server and using the media - link to video mp4 file

  Accommodation and a link to the videos on my old server of smugmug.com photo

  I can integrate real videos, but to their smaller size, they increase the file size of the ePub to 78 MB, 400 MB...

  I thought then that I would use an Overlay Folio - Web Content.

  The idea is to use this blank page on my site that would look for all purposes useful to another white page in the book - 2012 slideshow - Oren photography

  The overlay works in preview but not Folio when exporting as an ePub

  Is this a limitation of the ePub format?

  Any help/advice/suggestions on fixing this are greatly appreciated.

  The format of Vimeo is not supported when you place in InDesign.

  Overlays using Folio is a feature of the DPS, which is not supported in EPUB files.

  With the help of streaming video is not a good idea because it presupposes that the EPUB reader is connected to the Internet. Most people expect an EPUB content will be autonomous.

  I would like to used embedded in MP4 format videos, but use Adobe Media Encoder to Downsample to reduce their file size.

  A slideshow of images should be no problem, and you can create them with the Group of objects. You can create buttons to control the slide show display.

  It's really a follow-up to this question. After inadvertently (and briefly) published an Update to a folio that was already live, with one that had the wrong Viewer version, we have new false Folio.

  As we can't restore the version of the viewer I believe we must create a new folio with the content of the update in it. If it's new, but all its details (sheet name, name of the publication etc.) are the same that publish it that currently alive, and we, the people who have the current version will see this as an update or a new issue? This is not a scenario, I managed to find described in the documentation.

  Sorry, I answered the question in the thread you linked to, not this one.

  When you unpublish and delete a folio, and then re-create a new folio with the same metadata, the app will think it is a different folio, so any user who has downloaded the folio will see a folio double until they remove the older folio. Users who have not downloaded the folio will be just a folio.

  I think that you will need to use specific jsfl for each type of item to search for.  you could test by opening the Panel history and made a historical Panel right-click > view > javascript in Panel.

  I am new to DPS, so I do not know there is a setting somewhere that I haven't checked, but why the blurry text on my iPad when I spotted my article? I have an iPad of the retina, my document is 1024 x 768, and I use the "Preview on iPad XYZ" function at the bottom of the Folio Overlay Panel. What I am doing wrong? It seems as if I saw the folio in the Folio Builder Panel - what is the difference?

  If you use Control Panel overlays folio preview you get only the

  section and is to be rasterized in 1024 x 768. Preview the folio

  generator and you will get the entire folio.

  I guess you have using the PDF and you have defined with text overlays

  Vector.

  I am building an iOS app using folio feature in InDesign. I want an audio clip to play automatically when you open a particular page. I can't import a m4a file into InDesign, from what I can tell, but it's the type of audio file that uses iOS. Am I missing something? There must be a way to stream audio on an InDesign iPad app.

  We want to link in a folio of another application we create.   We can open the application Viewer with the URL scheme that we define in the application (for example, com.name.app).   However, it always opens the application on the home screen.

  I registered the business plan for Creative cloud, when I change the mode of Digital Publishing in InDesign, 2 missing features - Folio overlays & Folio Builder,.

  may I know that my plan include a complete set of DPS? or where to download the DPS for InDesign?

  CC2015 does not support the conventional tools of DPS. If you want to use them, you must use CC2014.

• Are there examples of good code for the display of the preview in the window images?

  I can understand more about the use of folio. xxx, but can not find good examples to use for the preview images.  () Folio.getPreviewImage I tried without success.  Oh, I should mention that it is version 2.  Many examples for version 1.

  If you make any changes to the location of the preview display, you can just replace the class ".folio-inch" to what the class (or id) is the element that you are wanting to render the preview in.

• Typekit fonts do not display in iPad app DPS (created by Indesign) in Web content (leading edge)

  I think I tried every permutation to make this work, but probably miss me something.

  I'm creating a single application iPad DPS with InDesign, and I use a Typekit font throughout.  So far so good.

  I created a project to animate Dashboard using the same Typekit fonts.  In preview mode, this makes it very well.

  However, when I place the project dashboard animate in a frame in InDesign and use the Web Content Overlay Folio (I have use the .oam file or directly link output .html published by Animate), Typekit fonts will not appear in the dashboard part animate DPS app and use instead a rescue police.

  Can anyone suggest a way to make edge Typekit fonts animate the work when they are incorporated into a DPS app?  (For what it's worth, I have the same problem when the incorporation of output html of tumult Hype, it seems unlikely that this is a problem with edge animate at all and probably more to do with something in the way that the DPS application deals with embedded html content has.)

  Hey cp_level,

  Unfortunately Typekit fonts don't lend themselves well to borad distrubition you must define on site that the police is broadcast. For example, I want my fonts for display on www.mysite.com--je must go to Typekit and explicitly define www.mysite.com in the list of allowed sites, otherwise the police appears. It is a requirement on the side of Typekit so people can tear off the embed of someone other site code and use it on their own.

  As your digital publication does not have a site that can be defined, your fonts will not be shown by the use of HTML content incorporated (including Animate) with DPS. Typekit Fonts of office work as expected because they get shipped with the release with another Office font you use.

  Now if you are uncomfortable with using online-only, you could find a suitable replacement using Edge Web fonts that don't require site definition. If you have a police office that you want to use WITH the EULA, suitable for web use, you can use a web font generating service as FontSquirrel and incorporate locally with Animate.

  I was checking the forum for some time and did not find information for my problem, so I post a new question:

  I have layoutet several articles that have overlays, images etc. When I introduce it to people (especially the 50 + membership), they try to grow the pages on my ipad3 of the retina using the guesture 2-finger-magnifying glass (what yor do normally on your iphone to intensify things). BUT the magazine does not, it shows only a zoom-glass that is 'off '. I know about the creation of overlay folios etc. But there is this feature internal magnification ipad, why it does not work on articles? Worse still, I once had an article that had this feature available, but I have no idea what I change and now it doesn't work anymore. I do view and layouts page by page, none of them can ipad-native-enlarge

  I guess it could be a generic parameter?

  If you create articles with image PDF format and enable pinch & zoom while building the app, users can pinch and zoom in as you describe. See article 'PDF items' in the folio effects of DPS tips for examples and details.

• Scenarios for agencies

  We have subscribed to DPS as an agency for the provision of the service to a certain number of customers. So far, all our clients have been happy 0 publish under our name. However, I would like to seek clarification on some possible scenarios that I imagine can happen. Ideally someone from Adobe will be able to answer, but if anyone has any advice I would be grateful:

  Scenario 1

  We are building a unique folio for a client app. They love it, everyone is happy, and they want to now expand it in a multi-folio application.

  Is it possible to update or replace a single folio with a version multi-folio application and have the readers to download?

  Scenario 2

  A client wants us to make an app, but they want to use their own certificates Apple Dist & Dev. It's easy to do, or is DPS somehow linked to our certificates?

  Scenario 3

  We are building a multi-folio for a client application using the details of our own subscritpion. Later, the customer decides to carry the development of internal applications. Is it possible to transfer "ownership" from one application to another part?

  A few answers to the 4 questions in this thread:

  Yes, you can start building an application unique folio and then 'upgrade' it to a multi-folio application. In the generator of the Viewer, you create a new application and select Multi-Folio. To the AdobeID for the title, you will place the identification information, where your folio is stored in the producer of Folio (also called on behalf of the Application). This will tell viewers where to find the corresponding pages. Make sure that the first folio (which has been used for simple editing) is published as a 'Public' and ' free / retail "depending on your scenario.  In the last step where you select the mobile configuration files, you select the same files that you did for your simple edition. In the application list, you will see two applications, one is the old single-Folio application, the other is the multi-Folio. Generator Viewer will automatically determine the correct version of marketing based on the platform (iPad) and the bundleID element. You can install the application on your device and the test. You will see that the first folio is available for download. (there is no way to include the folio directly in the application of multi-Folio). If everything works, submit your app to iTunesConnect. After approval, current users will be asked to update their simple editing application and can then download the first folio againl

  Yes, you can do and it is also the proposed route. DPS is not related to your own certificates. In another post, I wrote: "I think it's a good practice to publish applications that you create for your customers with their corresponding certificates. An "agency" who plans to start with the DPS, I'll give the same advice. Tell the customer to get an Apple Developer account and let the Agency handle all logistics. Another reason for this: If you sign the application with your own developer account, the customer would be stuck when you cancel your business. They cannot update the app on the app store, because they do not have access to the certificates. If you would sign the application with client certificates, they can always continue business. »

  3. is it possible to transfer "ownership" of an application to another party?

  
  

  When you speak of signature and certificates, you must be very careful. (see also the above comment on the termination of business). An application is bound to a signature and which belongs to a company. It is not possible to replace an existing application in iTunes with a new application that is signed with another entity. The only way to do is to have the app from the app store and publish a new application (using a different bundleID element / certificates). This means that all current users do not get a notification to upgrade.

  From a DPS perspective, the content of an application is stored in the account of the Agency and the rights of use of this account are responsible of the Agency only. For migration, the customer must ask his own DPS account and ask the Agency to "migrate content" for his own account. This can be done in two ways:

  • Part of the current account (Agency) to the new account (client) and the use of the producer of Folio's Web Editor to copy the items. Currenlty, it would be a time very consuming and click-heavy process
  • Download the content of the original INDD files in the new (customer) account - see preferred

  Consequences:

  • A new application must be created within the customer account DPS. If it had been originally signed with the signatures of clients and provisioning profiles, it can replace their current (Agency) created about (make sure that the marketing version has higher than the verion of commercialization of the previous application).
  • Because the content has been migrated / recreated, the user must download again its fact sheets on the new application.

  4 would. what type of workflow of group you the facility to avoid the problem of the locations of InDesign files, change for the folio?

  Make sure that your links (overlays) are stored in a folder that is 'under' your INDD file. In this way, you can move a folder containing the links around and INDD files. When you try to update a specific article on another workstation, it will tell that files cannot be found. A solution is to click on the Article and you will see directions (horizontal / vertical). If you "add" the current InDesign Document, it automatically replaces the existing guidance.

• 'Reply to all' now fails to include "Bcc" emails

  Updated to Thunderbird and now when I "reply all" to an e-mail with To, Cc and Bcc, Bcc emails the recipients are excluded from her 'reply to all '.

  Previously, this worked well and allowed me to easily send weekly emails to the same group of people.

  If something has changed in Thurderbird?
  Is there an option I can change?

  New: 31.2.0

  Are you using an old email "Sent", which included the BCC addresses?
  Select the email and click the 'reply to all '. Then delete the old content and replace them with new features?

  I tested it on an old message sent who was bcc e-mail addresses and it always works for me.

  Try this:
  Right click on the email and select "Edit as new message", does include the addresses of mail electronics bcc?

  Another option that you may not have considered:
  Usually, when you send an e-mail to a group, this group was created as a mailing list - under Group of contacts in your address book. If you click on writing, select mailing list and click the button 'Addto Bcc'.
  At least you do not rely on an old message sent.
  The previous content doesn't have to be removed.

• Enable Flash for only some sites

  Flash implementation sucks and will eventually be replaced by HTML 5 features.

  Today, most of the sites without Flash but still working a few forces. Those who did not need to flash will be more often when use even if the Flash is activated. To be able to use all sites, Flash enabled for all sites.

  To speed up Firefox and be able to migrate away from Flash completely, I would like the default have disabled Flash and manually activate it for certain sites only. That the two would accelerate the experience of navigation and the overall migration of Flash to HTML 5.

  I think that Noscript also blocks Flash.
