Report Oracle BI PUBLISHER (XML) format conversion

Hi, can someone tell me what is the significant advantage of conversion of existing RDF reports in Oracle BI Publisher reports? I appreciate it.

Thanks, Naveen.

    For your case, all you have to do is:

    (1) add the namespace to your XML data:

    ALLBANK 132106 SB UNADORNED ACS 0101
    ....
    -4,860,383.27

    (2) add in the RTF model according to the above link:

  • Conversion of a pair name / value in XML format

    Hello

    I configured the proxy service to listen to the '&' HTTP post delimited string by some. I was able to score the 'and' delimited string by some and get the pair name / value as below:

    ============================================================
    < CUSTOMER >
    < param name = 'amp; Value STATE_NAME"="abc_test"/ >
    < param name = 'amp; Value of Email_Address' = "[email protected]" / >
    < / CUSTOMER >
    =====================================================

    Now, I want to convert this pair name / value in XML format in accordance with the xml schema. Please suggest the way how can be achieved?

    It is difficult to find a bug in the code you have posted. Next time try to use \[code\] tag to wrap your code inside a post.

    Let me take a wild guess. If your code looks like this

    {$payload//param[@name = Model1]/@value}
    {$payload//param[@name = Options1]/@value}
    {$payload//param[@name = Quantity1]/@value}
    {$payload//param[@name = Model2]/@value}

    then you probably failed citations for the name attribute. Try something like this:

    {xs:string($payload/query-params/param[@name = 'Model1']/@value)}
    {xs:string($payload/query-params/param[@name = 'Options1']/@value)}
    {xs:string($payload/query-params/param[@name = 'Quantity1']/@value)}
    {xs:string($payload/query-params/param[@name = 'Model2']/@value)}

    I am using MS word 2010 to create the model (*.rtf file).

    The report displays the details of all the products used by the customer. Report 1 product per page. All products have the same model.

    What I want is to create an Index page, which displays the product name and the page number of the report in which it is generated.

    For example. Client Papa Johns uses 10 products. The generated report will contain details below: 1st Page-> Front Page containing details of the customer base.

    2nd Page-> Index page that contains product names and page numbers

    3rd page: 1 product details

    4th page: Details of the product 2.

    .

    .

    and so on.

    INDEX

    Product name Page No.

    Anchovies 4
    Apple at the top of 5
    Bacon 6
    7 barbecue sauce
    Barbecue Sauce2 8
    9 the chicken filling
    Dough 10

    Please note that the product number will be variable (it can increase or decrease), so there may be a case when the index page takes more than 1 or 2 pages just to print the names of products and their respective numbers.

    Thanks for the help in advance.

  • Design report Oracle in the .rtf file...

    Is MS Word 2010 supports design .rtf fie (for Oracle Apps reports)? If yes how to design it is, creating a field?

    I developed a relationship with tool of reporting of Oracle 10 g. I record in Oracle Apps (R12), output PDF Format.
    It runs properly but in PDF file, the data is translated in some symbols. How to get the appropriate data in the PDF file.

    Hello

    First you must install BI Publisher in your machine so that u get a new add-in in MS Word for the generation of reports using RTFs created by MS Word.

    Once you install the BI Publisher in your machine, its pretty simple.

    Follow these steps:

    1. create data models only for your reports and triggers except the layout of the document.
    2. save the conc prog in Oracle Apps and give the type of output in xml format
    3 Add a new XML Publisher administrator responsibility to your responsibilities and the definition of the data model Create and in the definition of data code place your abbreviated name of conc prog and give the type of output in PDF or require the output type u.
    4. open MS Word and design your page layout using tables of the insert.
    5. save the word in .rtf format document.
    6 Download this document in the section of the template in RTF format in the RESP to the administrator of the XML Publisher
    7 query conc.

    P.S. learn more on this blogs and oracle documentation and be careful with xml tags.

    Oracle RDF (A) - gives xml - Conc Prog (B) tags - xml gives the tags RDF for XML - model Publisher (C)---> gives the output :)

    If A = B
    B = C
    which implies that A = C

    Happy learning! :)

    Thank you

  • Migration problem reports: file not published online

    Hello everyone!

    I'm doing a migration of forms and reports on the Apex, but I can not download these reports 3: I got the error "XML report not published online", as you can see here.

    Anyone know why this problem appears, and why only 3 reports have this problem?
    I checked all the reports, but I couldn't find any big difference between these 3 and other...

    I also have another problem with reports settings: in the XML file, I "& param ' but Apex seems not to accept it. I modified the changing XML file "& param"to": param", but it still does not work.
    How should I write the settings in the XML file?

    Thanks in advance,
    Stone

    Hi Pierre,.

    Thanks again for the redirection on your sample XML report files.

    First, the file upload issue you reported related to the XML file containing a multibyte, but the file was not coded UTF - 8. When I saved the file with UTF-8 encoding value, I then could successfully download the file to my project of Conversion of forms. I noticed that your XML file contains several elements of with the SQL statements for your report. Even if such a file can be downloaded on your forms Conversion project, project pages associated with the reports only expect a element in the file and therefore will not work correctly. As a solution, I suggest that you take a backup of your XML file, and then edit the file to remove additional items . It will only contain a single element of with the SQL statement to be used in the conversion process.

    For reports with parameters, my suggested workaround solution would be to remove the parameter of the SQL statement references, download the report and then try to convert it. If successful, an interactive report Oracle APEX is generated, based on the SQL statement from the report of the Oracle. Once the interactive report has been generated successfully, update the Oracle APEX page to include a new point (e.g. list selection) takes over the possible user parameter values. Change the source of interactive report for the new reference point. The interactive report then only display information based on the setting selected by the user. I hope this work around will allow you to continue your conversion process. Please let me know how you get on and also if you have any other problems with the conversion process.

    Kind regards
    Hilary

  • Sous-modèle RTF not found in Oracle BI Publisher 11.1.1.9.160119

    Hi people,

    We recently applied Patch 22393988 : BI BEAM PATCH 11.1 . 1.9.160119 for Windows and discovered an error that occur in our RTF reports that reference submodels. They were previously working no problem.

    In the RTF, we include a submodel with the following:

    In the log files, we see the following error messages:

    <? import:xdoxsl:CCB/reports/templates/CommonLegal.XSB? >

    <? import: xdoxsl: / / / shared folders/BCC/reports/Templates/CommonLegal? >

    We confirmed submodel existed where planned and deleted and recreated the submodel.

    Any other ideas on what to try?

    We were able to locate the problem, then I wanted to share here. There are a few run Configuration changes made on the BI Publisher server and one of them was to affect the treatment of FO-> property activate multithreading. Change that back false solved the problem with the submodels.

    This is the only reference I could find on the web:neural: Oracle BI 11g - XML-22002 Publisher: (Fatal Error)

  • XML Format statement with grouping

    Allow me to preface this with the notice I'm not familiar with the XML code outside of its hierarchical structure and not'm not familiar with what you can do with him using formatting.

    For example, let's say you have the following table:

    Object_type | Object_name | Descriptor of |
    ------------------------------------------------------------
    Fruit | Apple | Crisp |
    Fruit | Orange | Sour |
    Cookware | Pencil | Wood |

    Now, let's say you want to query this table to return a XML format, which will be used in a web site to view information, and you want to group the view by Object_Type, so you want an XML format, like this:

    < group >
    Result of < object Type > < / object Type >
    < object >
    < object name > Apple < / object name >
    crunchy <>descriptor < / template >
    < / object >
    < object >
    Orange < object name > < / object name >
    Sure < descriptor > < / template >
    < / object >
    < / group of objects >

    < group >
    Utensil of < object Type > < / object Type >
    < object >
    < object name > pencil < / object name >
    <>descriptor wood < / template >
    < / object >
    < / group of objects >

    However, from what I can tell, using the XMLELEMENT function, it seems the closest, I can get is:

    SELECT XMLELEMENT ("group object",
    XMLELEMENT ("Object Type", object_type)
    XMLELEMENT ("subject",
    XMLELEMENT ("object name", object_name)
    XMLELEMENT ("Descriptor", descriptor)
    )
    )
    Of object_tbl;

    < group >
    Result of < object Type > < / object Type >
    < object >
    < object name > Apple < / object name >
    crunchy <>descriptor < / template >
    < / object >
    < / group of objects >

    < group >
    Result of < object Type > < / object Type >
    < object >
    Orange < object name > < / object name >
    Sure < descriptor > < / template >
    < / object >
    < / group of objects >

    < group >
    Utensil of < object Type > < / object Type >
    < object >
    < object name > pencil < / object name >
    <>descriptor wood < / template >
    < / object >
    < / group of objects >

    Is it possible to group them in a way so that Apple and Orange are in the same < Object Group >? Or does that not make sense and this grouping can be done on the website itself by formatting the XML?

    Hello

    This sounds like a job for the XMLAGG function.
    Browse this section of the manual of SQL language and look at all the functions that start with XML. There is no need to memorize all the, but begin to learn what tools are available.

    Whenever you have a question, please post a small example of data (CREATE TABLE and only relevant columns, INSERT statements) for all of the tables involved and also publish outcomes from these data.
    Explain, using specific examples, how you get these results from these data.
    Always tell what version of Oracle you are using. Do not use just a vague and easily missed, label like "11g"; out to the right and give your exact version, for example, 11.2.0.2.0, in the body of the message.

    If this is not something trivial as have broadband active HTML while we'd probably need everything: source report, all report and settings of the region, function source in pipeline, DDL for dependent objects, sample output etc.

    Is a report showing raw XML data on screen one any real use? Another option would be to drop the report completely and expose the result of the function in pipeline for download through an application process on.

  • Integrate Oracle BI Publisher with Oracle Form [authentication]

    Report & Oracle FMW 11g R2 (11.1.2) form

    Oracle BI Publisher 11.1.1.6

    Oracle Database 11 g Release 11.2.0.4.0 - 64 bit Production

    With the help of the link below, I want to integrate Oracle BI Publisher with Oracle form

    http://www.Pitss.EU/fileadmin/Pitss/images/de/White_Papers/White_paper_BIPublisher_WebServices.PDF

    But I need to know one thing, as mention in link, weblogic user/pwd in the java code for authentication with BI Publisher, above

    My Question here, what is the best way to manage authentication with BI Publisher while integrating with Oracle Form?

    I think, in a document, just to mention for example,

    It will not be advisable if keeping the user weblogic/pwd in Java code, at the end of this java code becomes a jar file and deployed to the server and then downloaded to the client computer. ensure that completely and the values are hardcoded, if the password change question once again, this means having user/pwd in jar will never be a good solution.

    For a quick overview, I'd do it keep advice the user/pwd in db in encrypted form and access to oracle form with decrypted and pass the value in the api ReportServiceClient.CallRunReport)

    If you feel, every time you need to access user/pwd of db and decypte it, that I advise you here, get user/pwd when set in the context of db and out of context with decrypted.

    Another may be the best idea.

  • need a script or utility to convert Oracle control files to format bcp files

    Hello

    I am currently in the process of converting an Oracle data warehouse

    on SQL Server. The warehouse is loaded through a bunch of text

    files throughout SQL Loader, using various control files. I need to

    convert the above to use BCP with files in format, which proved to be

    a very tedious task.

    Someone has written, or seen, a utility to convert files of control of Oracle

    for the format of files?

    Thank you

    Someone has written, or seen, a utility to convert files of control of Oracle

    for the format of files?

    You are very lucky, I found a script that I wrote some time ago and which may help you:

    -- ----------------------------------------------------

    -gen_bcp_fmt.sql - generate a non xml bcp format file

    --

    -Settings:

    Name of the schema - 1.

    Table_Name - 2-.

    --

    Schema DEF = & 1

    Tbl_name = & 2

    HEADING OFF PAGES 0 LIN 120 TOPPINGS ein OFF OFF OFF EMBED RECSEP WORM FEED

    TERM SET OFF

    COL NOPRINT sq

    COL c1 FOR A15

    COL c2 to 99999

    COL c3 FOR A06

    COL c4 FOR 999

    COL c5 FOR A34

    COL c6 FOR A34

    COL maximum new_value _Maxid NOPRINT

    SELECT maximum TRIM (MAX (Column_Id))

    FROM Dba_Tab_Columns

    WHERE owner = UPPER('&&schema.')

    AND Table_Name = UPPER('&&tbl_name.');

    SPÖ & schema. ___ & tbl_name... BCP

    SELECT "9.0 ' c1 FROM DUAL;"

    SELECT ' & _maxid' c1 FROM DUAL;

    SELECT TO_CHAR (Column_Id, 'fm000'). LPAD (' SQLCHAR 0', 10) C1

    CASE WHEN Data_Type = 'NUMBER' THEN (Data_Precision + Data_Scale + 2)

    WHEN Data_Type = 'DATE' THEN (14)

    ANOTHER Data_Length end as C2

    , DECODE (Column_Id, & _Maxid, "" \r\n"", '',' ') C3

    C4 Column_Id

    Column_Name C5

    , DECODE (Column_Id, 1, ' ""', 'SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS') C6

    FROM Dba_Tab_Columns

    WHERE owner = UPPER('&&schema.')

    AND Table_Name = UPPER('&&tbl_name.')

    Column_id ORDER;

    SPÖ OFF

    Enjoy!
