  Hi, I need to add images in the document. Currently I am placing them with the PlaceFileInFrame function. But this function creates links to the images. I could integrate this links later, but I would like to know how to add images (png, bmp,...) in order to document without making links. Also, I would like to know if it is possible to create links to images stored in the web (http, https)? Looks like the answer is 'no', but maybe I'm missing something. Thanks in advance!

  I guess that you are above InDesign CS4.

  After you have placed the image, you should incorporate it.

  You should do: ILinkResource::Embed

  Check ILinkResource::CanEmbed before you embed it.

  There are several ways to find the ILinkResource of pageItem UIDRef.

  Consider the following:

  Get the ILink for your UIDRef page element, and then find ILinkResource of ILink.

  Look at the ILinkManager, ILinkUtils.

  InDesign does not support file-based links. In other words, it doesn't support file:// model.

  However, InDesign offers extensibility to create an image of a document for the web link.

  To do this, you should have your custom link put in work.

• How to enlarge all images in the document using a script?

  I used the script ImageCatalog to place a 1000 + images of different dimensions in the document. In the ImageCatalog dialog box, I unchecked the proportional and the frame option content to place images at 100%. I'm looking for a way to extend all the frames graphics to reveal images that he placed on the document.   The document is 100%, so I think it's another driver to map video to date with a bug.

  Go to the one indicated on the web site GPU (or Microsoft, or system manufacturer) and search for updated drivers.

  Hi, I created an illustrator file and was sent to a pdf file with an image I want to put in the file.

  When I copy and paste that image appears in the document and I positioned in fine but it seems 'washed out' as if it were a watermark or background.

  When I go to print the image does not print or appear?

  I tried to put the image forward etc... any pointers or ideas would be appreciated.

  It looks like somehow the image got stuck in a layer that is designated as a model. In the layers panel try a double click on the layer in question and uncheck the box model. By default, the layers of the model have images grayed out to 50% and are printable.

• How to improve a scanned image of a document

  I received a scanned image (to 600ppp in TIFF format) a will written in 1782.

  Most of the ink has faded over time, where only lower 1/3 is actually readable.

  The scanned image of the will, is the best version I've seen of this will, to this day.

  However, the majority of the ink is still quite faded to not be readable/transcribed.

  Hello! There are a few different methods, you can try, I would recommend save another file to modify/play with, until you reach your result desired. Play with the brightness, contrast and sharpness are some to help you improve the document.

• Cannot view a PDF image on the page - Mac 10.6

  Hello

  Running an iMac with 10.6.8 and Indesign 5.0.4. Who wish to export a PDF as usual via file > export function. However, I get the error message "cannot display a PDF image on the page". "." No idea what it is and have never seen this error before. The only info on the internet reveals error code 0 x 2511 (9489).

  I deleted prefs, closed and reopened Indesign and even restarted the computer. I also re-related images in the document and even created a new document and set up the same thing, but still the same problem. Other documents Indesign studying further, always export correctly.

  The only ones that don't export are 2 documents, both giving the same error message. The two documents are those where a client sent a PDF file, I imported into both of them in a document, Indesign A4 2 pages (each PDF is 48 MB each) and then just added a text layer (using both) that is properly installed on the computer. I essentially have to 'day' dates of courses for the client and add PDF on the site, in all very basic.

  I tried to import a JPEG and PDF files in the file (replacing existing ones) and they export fine.

  All my software is legal and I exported this document before now in exactly the same file > export without any problem (under 10.5 and 10.6).

  Ok... I simply imported PDFs incriminated in Acrobat, optimized and reduced the size of the file that is re-imported to Indesign and export PDF works fine. So it seems that InDesign / PDF Export don't like the big imported PDF? I think that they were initially exported Editor, so perhaps that is the problem or a conflict of files somehow.

  Any ideas on the culprit? I Googled, searched these forums and Apple discussions and haven't found anything. Although I have found a workaround, I get large files to import and export. Thanks for any help

  Try opening in Photoshop and save it again here. If they have the direct type or other vector content re-record as Photoshop PDF, but change the extension to PDP to place IDS (that allows to change original work correctly).

• Remove the link in the document

  This question may seem childish,

  is it possible to remove the links in the document and have all the images that have been placed in the document as static? (no problem if this increases the size of my indd file)

  This problem happen to me because I was using network resource to place the images in the document, once there does not exist a network connection / cannot access network resource, shows its impossible to get images high resolution from the link and it still image of low resolution.

  things that I've tried,

  In the links Panel, there is an option to include the link.

  Another option is to have the package and the connected server your document to a folder on your local computer, which keeps the links without blowing up the size of the file outta proportion.

• all my word and Excel documents all appear in the files my images. If I delete the document of MY photos it is deleted in Word/Excel too, how to undo it?

  Word and Excel files are saved in Word and Excel and in my images.  If I delete the document of my images, it is also deleted in Word / Excel.  I checked and all Word/Excel documents are in my pictures including documents several years ago.

  You have them saved to this location for some reason any. If you don't like that you have to move them to the correct location and stop then save in the wrong location.

  Whenever you save something you must check if you save it in the correct location, of course.

  Do not delete them. You can use UNDO and trash to get back those you've accidentally deleted recently.

Missing images are not on my computer, but when the document opens the images are there. I can copy and paste the INDD images in Illustrator. Y files/images/I am able to copy and paste the images that have been incorporated into the INDD file in AI of the INDD file? If this is not what type of image am I copy and paste? Can I take the images that I stuck in there and place them in a new INDD document and have the images to reproduce without problems?

  The images could be anything - check the links Panel.

  What you see (and copy) is just the screen preview, not the actual image data.

• Why my images are moved around the document on Pages (version 5.6.2)?

  If I have an image (or images) in a document on the Pages and the cursor is at the end of the sentence and I press on enter to leave room for the image, it moves around itself and mess with what I had typed. Or if I add a page break and the cursor is located before the image, it moves down to the new page on its own. Is there a function should I disable? It's really frustrating and annoying to have to keep fixing it.
