Request a profile of lens Nikon for ACR 6.1?

I apologize if this should be posted elsewhere. I didn't have the qualified feature request.

I use a Nikon D80 with a lens "AF-S DX Zoom - NIKKOR 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6G IF - ED", and it is not in the current list of profiled in ACR 6.1 RC-1 lenses.

Is it possible to request the inclusion of this lens in the database, or is it simply too old or not professional enough?

If not possible to register, can I assume that I need to build my own profile?

I own a copy of the PT Lens, which has the profile, so not a huge deal - but; I'd like to stay in the cab and then proceed directly to Psalm

Running current PS CS5 Mac Pro (early 2008) and OS X (10.6.3).

Vanilla installs any software other than ACR 6.1 RC (only third-party plug-ins PS are current versions of the PT Lens and Photomatix Pro).

Thanks for any info, or a kick in the right direction for display.

Thanks for putting in the query. We try to add support for new lenses, but to be honest, it will take some time. We do not target only 'pro' or new lenses, however, because there is a lot of value that profiles for old and not pro lenses, especially those with older or simple designs that residual larger aberrations (i.e. more distortion).

  • Using a profile correction lens for micro four thirds?

I have a Panasonic 5 GM (micro four-thirds) using an Olympus 9 mm f8.0 fisheye.  The lens is silent (has no electrical contacts) so the camera knows what the lens is fixed and Lightroom cannot apply an AutoCorrect entry to the lens distortion and CA. I downloaded Adobe Lens profile creator and created a successful * *.lcp file to my goal.  It is installed in the subdirectory of files standard (I think):

Users/[username]/appdata/roaming/Adobe/CameraRaw/LensProfiles/1.0 (using a PC).  I use RAW files, but lightroom does not show the profile of correction as being available for my goal.  I downloaded a custom * *.lcp from Adobe and it went into a subdirectory under 1.0 "downloaded" heading, so I put a copy of my profile in there also.  I can see the downloaded profile. Still no luck with mine of Adobe Lens profile creator.  I know that most of the profiles of micro 4/3 lenses are applied automatically. Does this mean that Lightroom will not recognize my custom profiles?  I can apply a standard profile Canon or Nikon to my photos, so it does not resemble lens profiles are disabled for micro 4/3 images in itself.  Thanks in advance for any help.  R. Have you created the profile for RAW and not for jpg - they are different?

  • New camera profile is not "appearance" in ACR, but it does in Lightroom

I recently created a profile of the camera to a Nikon D200, using a graphic picture of X-Rite Colorchecker and the chart feature in the DNG Editor.  I exported the camera profile.  When I go into the Calibration tab in ACR 5.5, the new profile does not appear in the drop-down menu with the other profiles of the camera.  However, when I go in the development of Lightroom 2.5 module, the new profile appears in the menu dropdown there.

I am running Windows 7.  Browse my root drive I find that if I look in the directory Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles (referenced in the book of Fraser and Schewe CS4 Camera Raw as a location for profiles Vista) I can't find camera profiles, and when I place the new profile here it does not always appear in ACR.  When I look in the directory ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles\Camera\Nikon D200 I see the regular profile set of camera for the camera, as well as that I created, but as I said earlier, the newly created profile does not appear in the list of ACR.

A side note: I did a few tests with the camera profile names.  I added "XX" at the end of the name of profile Nikon Vivid (not post), and then this profile no longer appears in the list of profiles ACR.  I removed the extra letters and then the profile reappears in the list of profiles ACR.  Seemed strange behavior for me.  I also noticed that the profile that I created with the DNG Editor is significantly smaller that the others are provided by Adobe (28K against 110 k).

Hope someone has a suggestion for me.

Not sure why the profile does not appear in the two ACR and Lightroom when correctly in user-level file... should be. Also note that the reason the folder user level and not the ProgramData folder is only the admin level users can write to the ProgramData folder. Level user folder is the folder proposed because most any level the user can write to the user folder.

Regarding the relative size, DNG Profile Editor and created Adobe DNG - EP written profiles simplified while vender Adobe profiles are highly tuned and adjusted. I suspect that this makes them more...

Just a note, you exit and then restart the two _and_ Photoshop bridge after writing the DNG profiles for your level user, correct folder? I ask because some people have the bridge works without realizing it is running. Sure that the connection of ACR requires both apps either quits and restarted (you should not restart the computer if).

  • Possible to specify no lens correction for some lenses

Hello.  It is possible to specify no lens correction for some lenses (such as fisheye) while using 'default' or 'auto' for the correction of the goal?  If there is no built-in feature to support this, it would be possible to change manually the profiles included for the specific lens to achieve the same effect?  In addition, the profiles included location?  Thank you.

You can set the "default settings" for each objective separately.

    Lightroom 4

1 Select an image taken with the lens, 2) go to "correction lenses and sele ctthe tab ' profile»(, 3) set"Distotion"both vignetting" to "0" and 4) click on the arrows next to "Setup" and select "Save new lens profile by default."

    Lightroom 3

Same as above, but also the value "Aberration C." '0' If you want.

For most of my lenses I 0 ' distortion' and 'Vignetting' 50 and change it only on images that seem to need it. That's just my preference, yours may differ. For my Canon 8-15mm I sometimes use distortion "control if I'm changing the 'fisheye look'. I generally use PS Adaptive Filter of wide angle and Fisheye-Hemi plugin for this purpose.

  • multiple choice for user profile & preferences system Code for GSM?

    Hello

I'm LauraJ and I have a question about users being able to see GSM codes GTIN for the specifications formulated by the users of other business units.

When this user makes a generic GSM research for the common specifications shared by several installations on the search page it sees as its installation system code; the codes entered by sister facilities to the same specifications users are visible only if it opens up to the spec.

I tried to change that in user profile & preferences system Code for GSM, but I can only choose one option. How can I select several choices for the system code?

    Thanks in advance!

GSM and SHIG, you can select a preferred system Code. But you can create a query of development intended for the many.

  • The CS6, how can I update the ACR to 8.4? I was directed to the download page, but there is no download for ACR.

I bought a disc for CS6 and it came with ACR 7. CS6 works well in my machine and I'd like to update to ACR 8.4, I read is the last update for CS6. Different people of Help Desk have directed me to the Adobe download page, but there is no download for ACR. Download the full program CS6 all over again and several other programs auxiliary (is there any other choice) seems excessive. I tried it in all cases, but there was a download failure. The last time I tried, the download progress box indicated a scheduled download time combined for more than 16 hours. I have a pretty fast DSL connection. Sixteen hours?

    I'm using a MacPro OSX 10.7.5 running.

  • Drawing a custom profile does not work for me. It works for you?

Drawing a custom profile does not work for me. It works for you?

I can only apply on an existing line, but cannot make a new one with the selected profile. In fact if I change the profile other than the default uniform I also can't draw a new stroke with any other width than the default 1 point. This does not seem normal.

Use the SC5 on a PC.

You have "Art has basic appearance nine" checked in the appearance Panel Menu? If Yes... Clear the check box, and then try again.

  • Impossible to find profiles of lens for Canon 35-80mm and 80-200mm (3.6 Lightroom)

    Hello

This may seem like a piece of cake to most of you, but I am fairly new to photography, especially things like the optical correction, etc.

I use Lightroom 3.6 and there is no profile target for these 2 objectives:

    Canon 35-80mm

    Canon 80-200mm

Anyone know what to do in this case? Do I need to create them somehow (if so - how?) or can I download them (if so - where)?

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Kind regards

    A.

Profiles for these lenses have been added in later versions. But I don't know because I don't keep track of all the profiles that are added. If you Google Adobe Lens profile Downloader, you will find link to a program provided by Adobe. It will connect you to a Web site where other people have created profiles and are sharing them with others. The Downloader will download and install all of the profiles that you choose.

I need to find the profile of lenses for the Sony 28 mm f2. When I look at lenses profiles in Lightroom there seems to be only one for Sony (18-200). I'm sure that there is a profile for this goal, as I saw that it made reference in line several times. Any help is appreciated...

Profiles should work perfectly with the DNG files as DNG format is a raw file. Technically speaking, I do not think there is any downside to working with DNG files.
