• HP Envy 700 215Xt: request info for BIOS described below

  I hope I'm posting in the appropriate section, basically a beginner in this room. I have a desktop HP Envy 215XT 700 with Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit OS. My interest is in the BIOS, and basically, I want to understand better. What I would like is to have a manual or guide for this BIOS, if there is such a thing. For example, if you have more than one drive installed, or even the DVD drive and HDD, other places to start from, if bring you up the BIOS screen, then select F10, you can select a boot device. You can also do this in F9. I have to do one, two or what? And in what order. I'm starting to think that this computer does NOT like the 2 discs hard bootable installed, period. A bootable, one works better,

  2AF7 system board / Cfg, ID 1.00 product / Bios Rev MEM v80.16 / CPU Intel core 17-4771 3.50 GHz cpu.

  1 can or I would be able to run (2) 1 terabyte drives in the computer, and can both be bootable or just one?

  2. does anyone know if there is a BIOS update or a newer firmware to do this, my opinion is not.

  3. I have here available, a person, a sort of User Guide with details of Setup when using this BIOS to go n informed approach?

  Let me welcome you on the HP forums!
  
  I read your post on the BIOS info and wanted to help.
  
  You can have any number of disks bootable on a PC, but the BIOS has a defined order in which he sees these readers, and it will attempt to boot an OS in that order.  So, with more than one bootable disc to begin the second drive, you must do one of the following:

  (1) change the order of the drives in the list of the BIOS to move the other drive to the top of the list

  2) press the function key that allows you to select a drive to boot from

  The difference in the use of these two is that the first change is permanent, the second for a boot.

  Regarding versions of BIOS, the link is on the Page of the product HP to Win7 for your PC: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-ENVY-700-Desktop-PC-series/5399651/model/6667346

  Under the BIOS section, you will see two updates to the BIOS.  You can check yours to see what version of BIOS uses at present.  There is no other update BIOS.

• Request info tracker by AF

  I have a video clip hand I follow movement. In addition, I have an animation (image sequence). In the motion tracker dialog box, I chose the position and rotation. Then I applied it to my x animation and post there. When I do that, my animation layer gets moved in the my computer window. How can I re - focus this and still keep my tracking information?

  When I go at the beginning of the animation and change the position numbers to locate where I want him, it only contains this position since an image. Miss me something very basic, I suspect.

  Also as a side... is it possible to get out the tracking information and apply it to a layer of PPCS5?

  Apply tracking to a null object, then parent your layer for the null value.

  Nope.  That is what After Effects is for.

  Do not under: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall. Normally XP machines have request info here.

  Use Distiller to create PDFs from Illustrator EPS files. I managed to prevent the "author:" and "request:" info to be seen in the properties of the PDF Document by changing the Job Options in distilling. Now, I want to warn "location:" view my hard drive directory (C:\Documents and Documents\...\ owner...------blah blah blah). Suggestions?

  The location information is not part of the PDF document. Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader displays the location of the open PDF document.

• AppleScript to automatically copy a video in one of the two folders

  Hi, on my drive hard, I have 2 partitions, one for my 10.10.2 OS and the other for my files. On my player I have 2 folders which I want to copy the video on: 'Movies' and 'Kids Movies. I put a "folder Action" on mounting my USB key to run this applescript I below. It automatically copies the video in my "Movies" folder, then after completing the copy, ask if I want to "Eject" usb drive via a dialog Yes or no.

  My question is, what is the script to add an another dialog box before the copy request is a film 'children '. A "Yes" response, the film would copy into folder 'Film Kids', if you press 'No' it might copy the video in the folder 'movies '. Help with this script would be greatly appreciated.

• Partition lost after diskpart own

  Hello

  In attempting to bootcamp 10 Windows on a MBP 2010 6.2 via the USB port, I was running in issues with the hybrid MBR/GPT tables this created Boot Camp Assistant. I came across some terrible advice that a clean "diskpart" would facilitate the question and it ruined my OSX partition map. Now I have a partition bootable system and could not access my OSX partition somehow. I currently have the corrupt system firewired to other Macbook and target disc mode. I'd love to be able to rewrite the partition table, or retrieve the data. I'm pretty sure that all the data are still there.

  I searched overnight through the support forums, trying to figure out how to solve this problem, but can't seem to find an appropriate response and don't really know how to proceed. I have the usually requested info screen grabs.

  

  

  The highlighted partition is almost certainly that I lost, but by pressing 'p' back "For this file system was did not implement." I am running a deep scan while I wait just to make sure.

  Any advice on how I should proceed?

  TestDisk can not recover any HFS + or inspect them. You can use Fdisk TPG to recreate the entries of TPG, but the content may not be what you expect. Use the utility diskpart from M$ on a Mac is risky.

• What updates average 84B 30002 error?

  Running windows update for SP1 of SQL Server 2008 and am getting error 84B 30002.  Google code and no hiits, bing has tried, without success.  No idea what means this error message!

• The same updates Windows 7 repeatedly attempt to install

  So, my sound keeps cutting. Whenever he does I know that Microsoft has decided to install the same update. I'm going to the start menu, and, of course, there are the little exclamation point on the shield. I'll click it... and it will disconnect me, start closing down and the installation. Its always install a part 8. And I'm almost certain it's the same "update" 'installed' and more and more; even if it's Windows, I could be wrong... more strange things happened. How can I prevent this, or at least to get a more useful update that I did not install several times / day and stops at my mute. It is quite frustrating. Thanks :)

  OK so when I get on my computer it says I have 14 updates from microsoft and I click on it and then click download it downloads all the way until the 9th update and says error and stop the download and ive summer try over and over again but it never downloads completely, and when I go to download it again I have to start all over again I used the help and support but didn't and he still says its an unknown error

  I suggest to first go in Windows Update and just try to install some updates at the same time.  Select 3 or 4 at a time and install and then restart your system and move on to the next bit.  If you still have a problem then try these steps of troubleshooting and after returned with the requested info and arises from the troubleshooting.

  Also, check that your firewall program is not blocking Windows Update traffic.
