  I check online, but there is a lot of confusion between the system requirements for adobe cc.  Here at school we have mid 2010 2.4 ghz processor intel core 2 duo, macbook pro, running system 10.7 8 GB of ram and 250 GB hd I tried to launch the trial of cc and had no luck. Nobody knows what the system requirements are for more current CC of the software. I see on the Adode site, muilt core intel and 10.7 and then on another page muilt cord intel 10.9.  Of course I can't at Adobe phone number to ask such simple questions.

  CS3 is a good version of Photoshop before Adobe added support for GPU.  I don't remember the conditions required for CS3, they would be not much different then CS6, with the exception of the GPU. What processor is has your old mac?  CS3 may require a processor intel nor and IBM power PC. I'm a windows user. I thing here period CS3 Mac were all OSX and Intel processors.
