Reset the password of the homegroup?

I just did a few upgrades (no change to HDs), C: formatted, installed Win 7 Home Premium, but ignored (or so I thought) homegroup Setup during the installation of Win 7.  I have 4 HD, no RAID currently.  I went to setup Homegroup and I "Tell me more about..., change the advanced sharing... and start the HomeGroup trouble..., as wel as join or cancel."  No option to create a new group of residential or change the password.  I have a laptop and a desktop on this residential group and I tried to use passwords of these on my main desktop and it doesn't work.  I want to reset the password or create a new homegroup?

Thank you!

Rosh76,

There are a lot of good information on this link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Why-cant-I-create-a-homegroup

I would like to point out the first step of troubleshooting on this page which is 'a homegroup already exists on the network. If a homegroup already exists, you will be asked to join. "I think that's what you see. If all your computers on the network have not left the old homegroup, you will not be able to create a new.

The following link teaches how to leave a homegroup: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Leave-a-homegroup

Hope this helps!
