Resizing a browser window

I'm a reasonably new user of Dreamweaver CS3. I discovered how to use "_blank" to open a new browser window, but can someone help me please find how to resize the new window and remove etc. navigation bars. I know there is the "Behaviors" section where it allows you to do this, but using this function removes the little hand when the mouse over the image in my Web site. I'm pretty new, so any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

  • Please help: content still is not fixed with background image when I resize the browser window

    I am designing a Web site and want my content appear in the same location relative to the background image, regardless of whether or not the browser window is resized. How can I do this? (the content always moves when I preview the page)

    You can pin the object on the page so that it remains in the same position with any size of the screen.

  • Screen is blurry when resizing the browser window (IE)

    Hello

    I encounter this curious problem: the exported content seems hazy when the window of the browser (IE 8) is maximized, but looks thin and crispy when the window is resizesed to a smaller size. I got to the html code. This issue could be related to that described in this post: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3605847#3605847

    I use captivate 5. Any suggestion is appreciated.

    Best regards

    Jan

    I don't think there is a bug in Captivate.  I think it's a bug in the navigation software.  He claims ONLY resize this area exposed OUTSIDE of the content, but it is actually change the dimensions of the Captivate movie ever so slightly at the same time.

    Try to go in the HTM code published with a text editor and changing the dimensions width and height specified it for the Captivate SWF to play.  Generally, these are attached to exactly the values of right pixels for the height and width of the scene of Captivate.  Modify them by one pixel in each dimension only.  Try going upward a first pixel. Then worms down in size a pixel. Then maybe upwards or downwards to 2 pixels. Every time that you change these settings, save the HTM file and try to run the module in your browser maximized and see if you can find a dimension in which the text is strong.

  • Black artifacts when resizing browser window

    The latest update of Firefox (39) Watch black artifacts on the toolbar and when window resizing the browser window. They disappear when I resize the window or scroll.

    The uploader of the image on this page doesn't seem to work, gets stuck on uploading... so here's the link to the image https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9GV3PS3m5ioQjhjZGRuX0w4czQ

    • Hardware Acceleration (disabled)
    • I did a clean install and restored my previous profile (number still present)

    Since the zoom, which forces a repaint, corrects the display at least temporarily, you can try to disable OMTC, a feature introduced in Firefox 33. Here's how:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste the layers and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference layers.offmainthreadcomposition.enabled to true to false

    Any difference?

    Note: I read in a bug report at the time that this change causes problems with the YouTube HTML5 player, if hardware acceleration is disabled, then you may also force the Flash on YouTube if you keep this setting. You can use an add-on for this: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/youtube-flash-video-player/

  • Resizing of the buttons on the toolbar disappear after the browser window

    When I run my browser all the buttons on the toolbar are in place.

    http://C2N.me/3cwiz9M.jpg

    When I resize my browser window to make it smaller, these buttons to collapse to a "arrow":

    http://C2N.me/3cwiLnZ.jpg

    But when I resize my browser window to make it larger or maximize the browser window, these buttons won't reappear soon whatever I do next.

    http://C2N.me/3cwiWnn.jpg

    The only thing that helps is to close the browser and run it again.

    Possible causes are extensions that required, information or other content of text in the Navigation toolbar.
    You can try to move some of the buttons that are provided by an extension temporarily to a different toolbar to test this.

  • Only "startscreen" should be able to fill the browser window

    Hi guys. Do you know where I could find a tutorial etc. to build a 'startscreen' like http://hungr.ee/ ? I could resize my browser window, and the background image fills the entire window. The writing remains also in the environment. If I scroll a bit more, image and text scrolls upwards well. Thanks for your help!

    Hello

    You can use browser width content and then apply the scroll effect that would create similar effect that you referred.

    There are many resources available which you can learn, bit I list below:

  • Web pages change position slightly when their height exceeds the browser window.

    Hi, I use Dreamweaver CS5.5 to build a Web site. I'm at halfway through the project, and I discovered an annoying problem with my pages finished, when they are displayed in a browser.

    The thing is that the pages are not all the same height, and if you move from a page which is inside the browser window, to one that does not fit into the window, but extends beyond it, the entire page, background and everything, the movement obviously 20px to the left. And when you return to a page that fits in the window, it moves to the right. When you resize the browser window so that its young, all pages in the same position.

    This happens in all browsers I have try.

    Please is - that someone out there can explain why this is happening, and if there is a cure?

    All pages are centered, with a fixed background, if it helps.

    That sounds as if it was because of the scroll bar.

    When the page is contained in the browser there is no scroll bar and when the page has a greater height the scroll bar appears and the page seems to jump.

    I think that the solution for this is:

    {body

    overflow: scroll;

    }

  • Is there a possible solution to this age-old problem which graphics disappear when the browser window is resized?

    example: www.satlinker.de
    If the browser window is smaller than the content, the header image seems well.
    My css stylesheet looks like this:

    #banner {
     padding-left:10px;
     text-align: left;
     font-weight: bold;
     border: 1px solid #000;
     background: transparent url(/media/header.svg) top left no-repeat;
     height: 70px; /*workaround to adjust width*/
     -webkit-background-size:100% 100%;
     -moz-background-size:100% 100%;
     -o-background-size:100% 100%;
     background-size:100% 100%;
    }

    It has nothing to do with svg, similar problems with png images.
    In earlier versions, height adjustment worked as a workaround, but no more in vesion 17.
    There are various problems like the one described in the net:
    for example Bug 282558 - sized image vanishes on browser resize.
    But I can't find any solution - and this bug is described in 2005!

    I was wrong, it was a problem with the svg format. I tried several other formats, each doing its own problems. I tried cleaning the svg with conversion tools code and finally manually with a Publisher - nothing works. GIF and jpg of other problems, so finally I have found a converter of images to http://www.files-conversion.com/, which produces an acceptable png format.

    I think that the rendering of images needs to be improved.

  • Get div to auto may not resize with the browser window

    I'm trying to get a div with a paragraph of text will resize automatically when the browser window is resized.

    I've seen what happens automatically, when I had no style applied to the < div > tag, but because I have my content centered using a < div > Interior inside a container fixed-width < div >, the inner div is now fixed so despite not having a fixed width.

    Here is the page I'm trying to settle (the box with the text is the < div > inner circle in question):

    http://beta.deltsig.com/about.html

    Here's a test page showing what I want the text to do when the window is resized:

    http://beta.deltsig.com/test.html

    And here's the CSS of the inner divs and container:

    {#div-container}

    Width: 768px;

    text-align: center;

    left margin: auto;

    margin-right: auto;

    }

    .div-redtint-flexsize {}

    padding: 1px 20px 20px 20px;

    text-align: left;

    background-color: #f3e4e4;

    -moz-box-shadow: 0 0 7px rgba (0, 0, 0,. 7);

    -webkit-box-shadow: 0 0 7px rgba (0, 0, 0,. 7);

    box-shadow: 0 0 7px rgba (0, 0, 0,. 7);

    }

    I tried to add different styles of width to the CSS, but nothing had no effect.

    It's a style that I have to change in the container div?

    You cannot have two meanings.  Your page is fixed (px or em based) or liquid (% based).

    A container fixed width parent does everything inside it fixed.

    If you want to try to work with liquid layouts, go to file > New > blank page > HTML > layouts and select one of the liquid patterns from the 3rd Panel.  Creating success.

  • Full screen swf don't auto-size until the browser window is resized

    Hi all
    I posted my test here at http://www.urbanlinx.com/Test.swf.
    I have 4 MCs in the film. A header, content box (Center), footer and background image.
    When the browser is set to scale the background will scale proportionally to the widow and maintains its proportions.
    My problem: when the clip is loaded first, the background is not resized until the browser to resize manually by the user.
    Is there a code I can add that will check the size of the window prior to the loading of the movie?

    My code is attached.
    Stop();

    Stage.scaleMode = "noscale";
    Stage.Align = "tl";
    Stage.addListener({onResize:reposition});)

    function reposition() {}
    var header = _root.myHeader_mc;
    var bg = _root.image_mc;
    var content = _root.myContent_mc;
    var _root.myFooter_mc = footer;

    var NPOS;

    NPOS = getNewPosition (header);
    Header._x = nPos.x;
    Header._y = 0;

    NPOS = getNewPosition (content);
    Content._x = nPos.x;
    Content._y = nPos.y;

    NPOS = getNewPosition (bg);
    BG._x = nPos.x;
    BG._y = nPos.y;

    NPOS = getNewPosition (footer);
    footer._x = nPos.x;
    footer._y = Stage.height - footer._height;
    };

    function getNewPosition (mc) {}
    var agree = Math.floor ((Stage.width-mc._width) / 2);
    var = Math.floor ((Stage.height-mc._height) y / 2);
    return to {x: agree, y: Y};
    };

    reposition();

    Stage.scaleMode = "noScale";
    Automatic resizing
    stageListener = new Object();
    stageListener.onResize = function() {}
    backgroundResize (_root.image_mc);
    };
    Stage.addListener (stageListener);
    Background resizing
    function backgroundResize (image) {}
    var imageHeight = 400;
    var imageWidth = 700;
    var wRatio = Stage.width/imageWidth;
    var hRatio = Stage.height/imageHeight;
    Report higher
    If (wRatio > hRatio) {}
    var ratio = wRatio;
    } else {}
    var ratio = hRatio;
    }
    Resize
    If (Stage.width < = imageWidth & & Stage.height < = imageHeight) {}
    image._width = imageWidth;

    } else {}
    image._width = imageWidth * ratio;
    image._height = imageHeight * ratio;
    }
    }
    backgroundResize (_root.image_mc);

    Special thanks in advance.

    PS: If you know a way to do this with a cleaner code, help would be greatly appreciated... If it is already the correct code... Thanks to all the people in the community who taught me :)

    Well right after that a whole bunch of tracks and errors as much as I found the resize code is not like code reposition. Tried another code to reposition and its working great. It is also much smoother during resizing.

    Here is the code I use. Basically the bottom scales proportionally to the browser window, keeps its ratio and scales of the Center. If anyone has any advice on how to do it more easily if you please drop me a line.

  • TOuchpad down, allow me to resize the text in the browser window

    I have a HP Envy laptop 17.3 with a touchscreen tablet, which does not allow me to scroll through, or to be used with the CTRL key to change the factor zoon inside windows (for example, a browser window).

    I went for the touchpad settings and there is really not much there. Surely, HP includes some advanced features as Synaptics and is used on laptops cheaper?

    Am I not looking in the right place? I went the the touchpad settings. Is thewre somewhere else to make changes to the settings?

    Thank you!!!

    Donald

    After a few HP updates I found the place to make a few changes which are accessible from the control panel.

  • How to have flex new regulation when the browser window is resized?

    I have a web application that aims to occupy the entire area of a browser window.  It has a minimum usable size of 1024 x 768, but if the browser window is expanded (or click full screen), I would demand to redo the layout.  I used the percentage of investments and the Basic for all layout constraints.  But when I change the size of the outside window, nothing happens!

    Whats a newbie to do?

    Try the parameter width/height=100% and minWidth/minHeight = 1024 x 768

  • Cannot resize the Firefox window under pixel 374

    Using Firefox 26.0, completely new download and installation.

    For various purposes, I'd like to be able to resize the entire window of Firefox on a width smaller than 374 pixel, however it no longer works. It remains simply greater than or equal to 374 pixels. Before I did the update to 26.0 this works beautifully.

    Of course I can do it with web developer, but I'd rather have all the Firefox window to pixel 200 or 300 width in pixels for example.

    Note that with the bookmarklet you will probably run into safety problems that Firefox does not allow a page opens as a pop-up.

    You can hide all toolbars in a new window and use userChrome.css code to set a smaller width min.

    Add code to the file userChrome.css below default @namespace.

    The file userChrome.css (UI) customization and userContent.css (Web sites) are located in the chrome folder in the Firefox profile folder.

    @namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */

    #main-window:not([chromehidden~="toolbar"]) {min-width:200px!important;}

    See line 8:

    • chrome://browser/content/browser.CSS
