resizing of the images smaller

I am trying to resize an image to a smaller size, but I keep losing the image quality. I understand losing quality if I was the bigger picture, but is there a way to make the smallest mage without loss of quality. Or at least a workaround solution? I have a logo as well as a screenshot, I'm trying to insert a marketing document that I am putting together. Does anyone have advice for me? Thank you.

Whenever you resize a raster image quality will be lost. It is more obvious when you enlarge it, but when you reduce the size you also lose the quality. This is due to the fact that the pixels that make up the image are resampled, and it isn't a "perfect" way to recalculate the. When you reduce the size of the image generally the image will look a little blurry and losing some details. When you are in the Image/image size window, you can change the size of your file now "resample" option on and try the algorithm diverse offering of Photoshop, you can find them in the drop-down list, preview, if the final effect. The "Automatic" option will choose for you, but you can also decide to use an alternative, with bicubic more net Photoshop will add more contrast. If you are not always satisfied with the details, once you resize your image I suggest you add sharpness filters to get some details back.

BTW, logos must be in vector graphics, in this way, you have no problem resizing and design will be clear and constant in all sizes.

I have a lot of images I want to resize. The images are all rectangles and same size. I want the images to be smaller and square. Is there a quick way to do it with all the images at the same time?

If your native images are rectangles and square, you must use the crop tool to get the defined areas. Otherwise, your images will appear distorted.  Unfortunately, batch cropping rarely works well less that all the images are perfectly framed and centered.  From my experience, cropping requires human judgment.

That said, you can create a crop tool Preset (size & resolution) that can help further your workflow.

  • Resizing of the Image window in Photoshop using Javascript

I write a lot of scripts using the ScriptListener as my basis for obtaining my scripts. Is one of the steps that I need to resize the Image window, so I can properly place a logo on an image. When I resize the image using the file > automate > Fit Image. The Image window shrinks down and I have to use control 0 or command 0 to resize the image window to be able to view a larger image on the screen to place the logo.

It is the size of the Image window after file > automate > Fit Image

    Size After Fit Image.jpg

I need to do ot more window Image using Ctrl or command 0

    Size After Fit Image2.jpg

ScriptListener does not this step control or command 0 record.

That slide quality do you use? Push it to optimized and check again. Using a model of slides? Check if you choose to have slides on top model objects, and if there are objects that cover the image.

  • Resizing of the Image of CS3 is no longer works

I open a JPG file in Photoshop CS3 to resize a photo.

Much to my surprise, the pixel dimensions in the Image-> Image size no longer works. The pixel Dimensions box displays information, but is not highlighted and does not allow access.

I tried a bunch of different pictures, including JPGs, naves and several PSD files, I worked on the last few days. Same result.

I closed the PS, rebooted, reloaded, same problem.

I am running Windows 7 and PS3 10.0.0.1. I have never had any problems with this before combo; certainly nothing like.

  • How to change the default set the resizing of the image?

When I place images in InDesign, they are usually larger than the size of the actual page and then I have to evolve their way down.  That takes but a minute, but if I'm setting up a dozen of images at the same time, they end up by overlapping each other and it is a big mess.  Is there a way to set the default size of the content placed?  As if I could put all the images in the scale to 2 "tall which would be much more convenient than the default size they are placed now.

To be clear, I'm not the file size of the images on my hard drive, or their native resolution.  Just their apparent placed in size compared to the layout, in my size to tabloid case 11 "x 17".

    Thank you!

If you place multiple images, select several at once during the order. When you get the InDesign page, instead of clicking one-at-a-time, click once, but before you release the mouse button, use the up and right arrows to create a grid. When you release, your images will all be the same size and scale images. You can then use the Image to adapt to the command of the frame if you wish.

  • Resizing of the images of a BLOB in the classic report

Hi guys, I am looking for more help on resizing images in reports.

I followed so many different tutorials & I am obviously missing something really obvious that I can't get one of the solutions to work for me. the main solution I come across is adding in the html page header

    < style type = "text/css" >

    {

    Width: 5px;

    }

    < / style >

I was wondering if someone could take a look and let me know where I am going wrong

I added this to the CSS inline to the page - at the same time someone else seems to be try a similar thing ;-)

    #report_std-report div.list - notice-call img {max-width: 200px ;}}

EML is the format of the e-mail file.

Save the photos to a folder on your hard drive and the photo
extension will probably be .jpg. See the following articles:

Open or save an attachment in Windows Mail

  • Graphic resizing function has changed, now crops the image, why?

I must, without knowing it, changed some settings. So far whenever I bring you in graphic, such as a png or jpg, I can resize using the selection tool (arrow) and in a corner of the image I click, hold down the shift/command (Mac) and then shrink or enlarge the size proportionally. What has changed, it is now, the image does not like that, but rather the same manoeuvre crops the image in the direction where, as in using a mask function, the image doesn't change size but the border of it changes and part of the left image not visible. I guess that there is a setting that I don't know who is doing this, but so far have not been able to understand. Anyone know?

Any responses appreciated as very frustrating.

    Thank you

I am currently working on a cycling Jersey.

I had a sponsor send me its logo, but it must be resized to the smallest.

Yet, I don't see a clipping mask in the layers.

Can someone help me with the resizing of the image? This type of image can be resized? What is again?

  • Insert the image on the slide behind the objects 'slide '.

    Hello

I use Cap 5.5. I created a template of slides with a banner of upper and lower curves. (image imported into Photoshop layers).

On each normal slide, I want to insert a background image which is located behind the master slide banners objects (resizing of the image on the use of normal size, click and drag is not possible because of the curved lines on the banners). I can't find a way to do this. (apart from copy and paste banners on every normal slide)

On the normal slides the 'Master slide items at the top' is not checked.

Each object on the model of slides by using the reorganize option makes no difference.

No idea how to do this?

    Thank you

    Donal.

I use a blade master Knockout in this case: master slide covered with an image that has a transparent part in which the image of 'background' can be mounted.

Long ago I described the workflow:

    http://blog.lilybiri.com/create-and-use-a-knockout-master-slide

Another possibility is to place banners on the first slide and their time for the rest of the project (with the option always on top verified)

  • Export the image as a picture quality (72 dpi only?)

    Hello

I did experiment with the recording of images of films, but it seems that they cannot be exported to 72 dpi, which makes it identical with a piece of screen basically.  So the question is to know if we can save the high quality images for printing.  I imported a movie in APP was extracted from a DVD, and recorded in mp4 format.

    Thank you!

    Gustavo

    Santa Fe, NM

    Gustavo,

Let's go to this subject in a different way. You use words and we use words and I don't think they mean the same thing for you as they do for us. This is the number of pixels available and I have a feeling that you are looking to create more pixels for what you would call a higher resolution. Stick with me for a while and I think I can clarify this.

You have a video from a DVD. You brought it in Premiere Pro. Let's assume for the moment that this is a standard definition DVD, so you either imported in 720 X 480 or you imported in 640 X 480. You did not, so these numbers may be wrong. But we will use 640 X 480 for example because it uses square pixels and therefore easier to do the math.

Export the 640 X 480 image by clicking on the button to export the image (small camera), then open this file in Photoshop. Under Image / Image size, you'll see a window that looks like this:

Someone to video, the important part of the image window is the pixel Dimensions. We don't care anything else. The resolution of 72 pixels per inch is incidental to us.

However, if I wanted to print the image, things get interesting. As you can see in the window, if I print at 72 pixels per inch, I get an image located at more than 8 X 6 inches. The problem is that nobody prints at 72 dpi. We print at 300 dpi or more.

So what happens. Instead of a nice printed in large print, we get something much smaller as shown below.

Basically, we get a big stamp.

What you may be asking, however, is how to get an image of 640 X 480 pixels, expanded to a size that would print this image, using 300 ppi, to size 8 X 6. The word for that is not exactly resolution. Not for us. The word that is upscale. Make it bigger. More pixels. Pull pixels out of the thin air and assign them to the scene in the picture.

The answer to your question is probably quite simple. No, you can't get better resolution, unless you it upscale in Premiere Pro, and it is not the right program for the task.

It upscale in Photoshop. Or buy an app party designed for high-end frame grab something you can print to a decent size.

  • How can I change the size of the images for a collage?

I'm trying to create a collage in Photoshop CS4.  I found some info on this and know I need to create the background layer, and then drag the images I want on the background layer, then free transform images to make them the size I want.  However, when I do that the image becomes distorted.  Is there a a way to make the images smaller, all in maintaining the integrity of the image?  Because it works now people in my pictures are getting tense one-way or the other.  No information, or management of information would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you!

Yet, I am not the most experienced so that there may be an easier way.  But, first of all, the images and the background must be the same resolution... which you can check/change in Image--> the Image size.  Then after dragging to your background, use the transformation free corner, while holding down the SHIFT key.  This will keep proportional.
