(Resolved) e-mail address policies

Here e-mail address policies seem more than a little complicated. As near as I can tell (Please correct me if I'm wrong), my email address is via a visible page publicly accessible. If this is the case, there may be some crop protection; However, I don't see a need to make this information available to unregistered users. None of the other forums I belong make public email addresses.

So, I tried to change this address; However, the update profile page directs users to the page contact support, which contains no information on the updating of profiles, far from creating a customer number, I guess that could then be used to contact the customer support. There is no guarantee that contact our customer assistance would not apply for boarding, no am I guaranteed that I would not wait in a queue to the phone for such a simple request.

In fact I seem to have two accounts, at least, it seems that I can connect with two e-mail addresses. I would like to change the email to both addresses. Why is it so difficult?

If you view your profile, your email address will be followed by "(privé: caché à tout le monde)" if it has the DialogResult.Cancel value.     It could be that an add-on is causing this problem. First, click on the Firefox button > help > restart with disabled modules. If this solves the problem, it means one of your Add - ons is the cause.   • E-mail address and question iCloud

    I use Mail 9.2 in OS X El Capitan.  The problem is an e-mail sender/recipient unwanted but persistent recurring which always forces me to change the e-mail address of the recipient manually.  Here's how it goes:

    I receive emails from x which is sent from the account x now uses exclusively.  Previously, x maintained two accounts of different e-mail and addresses - I deleted the defunct address x info by his Contacts on the PC as well as Contacts also stored in iCloud.  ICloud information contains is no longer the address defunct e-mail, but Contacts on the PC he maintains he is now grayed out, listed under the heading of 'other', and I can't edit/delete it.  Whenever x sent me an email from the email account it uses now the old defunct email address will appear as the sender and if I don't manually change to the correct recipient address - this is if I use 'reply to sender' - the email is only sent on behalf of the deceased.  "Deceased" means the x e-mail account is now no longer in use.

    How this issue can be resolved?  (1) I would completely remove the old e-mail address. (2) when I receive an email from x, I love to show the correct address of the sender; and (3) when I send an email to x, I like that it appears as the recipient's address whoever x uses now.

    Another question: after I went to iCloud to modify the coordinates of x, all my contacts on PC's Contacts have doubled and slept that way, even after disengagement from iCloud, forcing me to manually delete all the duplicates.  Why is this happening and how can it be avoided?

    Thank you for using communities Support from Apple! I'm sorry to hear that you're having these problems with the Contacts; I know how that can be frustrating. If that specific contact information is relatively simple, you can ensure that you have a copy of it (copy paper, if necessary), then try to delete the contact from iCloud, which should also remove the synchronized local copy (otherwise, you may need to remove it manually). Once deleted, you would then recreate the contact and see if the same behavior persists on received emails recently. You can find the following article useful:

    When I go to enter an e-mail address, I start typing the address in the required field.  When I type '@', the first character of my e-mail address disappears from the input field.  For example, I type 'jstewart' and when I type the symbol @, the letter 'j' disappears.  This happens on all websites and happened the last 2-3 months approximately.  Someone has an idea what is the cause?

    In the menu bar, you select

    Change ▹ Substitutions

    and uncheck all the options. Test. If the problem is resolved, you can experiment with the reactivation of some options to isolate further the cause. You can change text replacements tab in the keyboard preferences window text.

  • VersaMail - 'Unable to resolve name' mail server error

    I had an intermittent but frequent with VersaMail problem when I try to connect to get my email.  Often, I receive the following message:

    "Cannot resolve the name pop.mindspring.com. Check your DNS settings or enter the IP address of your mail server. »

    I also occasionally get to my Yahoo.com e-mail addresses, is not unique to Mindspring.com.  Sometimes, often, but sometimes I get no problem, so settings I seem to work - when they want to.  Needless to say, it's frustrating and annoying, so if anyone has a way to solve this problem, I would appreciate knowing.

    Problem solved!  I had google for answers and found an explanation of DNS servers on another forum where someone had a similar problem.  It seems that DNS servers simply take the domain name use us and find the IP address for this domain name, then hang us up to this IP address.  I was getting the error message was that I had to check my DNS settings or enter the IP address, so it seemed logical to me that if I could ignore these servers DNS Dingo with their "now, I'm going to do, now I do not want" bad attitude, maybe I could connect directly with mail servers.  Your tip on how to find the IP address of mail servers in scathing them was the missing piece, I needed.  I deleted the names of POP and SMTP servers for each account that I have would establish in VersaMail, replacing them with the appropriate IP addresses and I can connect now reliable with all servers, first time, every time - and lightning -fast.

    I received an email from the so-called [email protected]. He claims that I recently added my address to e-mail from Apple as a conference entitled "rescue e-mail address for...» [my] AppleID. "I don't have such a thing.
